I´m a little bit confused and i would be grateful if someone could explain this to me.
When i go to settings and then to the system tab and click "About", it says that i only got 195,58 in Memory? Isn´t it supposed to be 288?
Am i missing something out here?
Please explain!
Thank you!
No one knows? :/
Hmmm.... 64 for graphics, about 30-35 for OS, maybe 40 for tf3d... and you have your 140MB free...
I just guessing

i knew that it can be changed by using registry.
However i forget how to change the value and the path for it?
Can anyone give me a hand?
Thank you.

Afaik thats the font cache (showing text memory) so the bigger the font cache, the faster the fonts load (some fonts which aren't loaded in the memory will swap, and that swapping takes some time) but it also takes about 8k larger in the program memory (if u change 8-16k, well depends on how big ur gonna cache ur font anyway). correct me if i am wrong. good luck.

so i dont know what happend ,but i think it had something do to with the spamming calls i got from some b***h that wont leave me alone anyways even though i got a 1gb i can only see 53 MB free but it does read the entire card id show u a pic but mymobiler is being gay or the phone is just f***ed up and windows mobile is f***ed up as well can anyone help me in real time using aim or msn?
try taking a deep breath........ and then using punctuation and other fun stuff like that.
now to your problem......
does it read only 53mb worth of data or does it show that you only have 53mb free when you look at the card under settings>system>memory?
Hi , I think im posting this in the right place... anyway I have a t-mobile wing.. with the ****ty 200mhz processor..
After putting a few progs on my phone like HTC home, Icontacts, googlemaps, and the other default stuff that comes with the phone, it always ends up saying my phone is running low on storage space. even though i always install everything to my storage card... i dont get it. I close all programs and everything. I use to have a lot more programs before i had to hard reset my phone, and it ran fine, to as much cool progs as it could handle before it would give me that message. This phone seems to not be able to have a lot on it.. idk any opinons on this would be great. Now it seems like it cant handle as many programs as it did before.. wow.But anyway i was mainly wondering, how i delete the dang files in the windows folder... Delete is not an option..
if anyone has an answer Thank you!!
you need to flash to a rom with lots of free memory and less applications. ivanmmj has a really good rom called JustMe. It sounds like it would work perfectly for you. here is the link:

Here's another full walkthrough, as well.
I noticed that spacemonkey has been very very helpful lately. It's like having an automated service for answering new people. He answers before I even know it's been asked. That's a grea thing!

lol. It's not annoying. I encourage that type of behavior provided you don't just make up the answers. ^_^
Hi,
When looking @ the task manager on my X1, under 'Storage' there is a total of 280.96Mb + 200.48Mb for 'Program'.
But when looking here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448911 (Touch-IT Clean&Smooth) the total under 'Storage' is 348.69Mb in total.
Is this a branding issue, or a hardware issue (X1i vs X1a), please could someone shed some light on this?
Thanks,
Phil Rich

X1 got 512mb in rom storage. The rom you flash (OS+software) will take the space from there. If you look into my lite rom, I got 380mb free space as well.
Thanks, thought something was wrong there.

Windows needs RAM to work, you can free up some by closing processes but there is nothing unlockable, you have what you have, aint no more on this device!
Where can I see these processes ? I mean except these which are in "task menager"

They are the processes, if you've not got much RAM left even after a new ROM has been installed then its likely the ROM you have loads a load of junk up. you might need that stuff depending on what you do
try this out though
