Hi there,
Ive got an orange version of this phone at work i'll be doing some work on in the next couple of weeks, but it has been totally brutalised by some mercury software. It's software that relays gps information to a server via gprs and links into tomtom.
The software removed all the program shortcuts and control panel icons.
I'm wondering if there is a way to restore the control panel icons. I did the program icons by copying the shortcuts from my universal.
Thanks!
hello,
where can i define which folders the music panel should scan?
I was just wondering if there was a was to access the xperia's media panel without going through the panel option? I currently have spb plus, so it would be great if I could add that on as a shortcut.
Thanks
I would suggest that you go here

and install the Pubba panel installer. In the mans own words:-
"Pubba Panel Launcher
A panel dll-loader for Xperia Radio and Media Experience.
After installing the cab you can start both Xperia Radio and Media Experience Panel direct from Start/Programs as normal applications.
// Pubba"
Then , maybe, use the shortcut links to put them into programs in SPB, or access them from start menu.
That worked - thanks again for your help
Just wondering is it possiblle to change the default metal looking icons in the sony-ericsson panel?
look in windows folder : )
spasibo,
But where, I thought the files were stored in program/files/sonyericssonpanel.
Which of panels? Media, Radio etc ?
Dialer's icons all placed simply in \windows\ folder
I mean the second panel, called xperia panel or sony ericsson panel. It has those chrome looking icons for rss feeds and so on.

Click to collapse
I have been exhaustively searching for them without success
My conclusion is they are inside .VUI files in the program files\panels\ folder
Well got a little bit further. The VUI files can be opened with winzip, and contain a lot of images.
But it looks like its just part of the images. I downloaded a default panels.cab and looked in the setup.xml. There it mentions a mode.vui, rss.vui, clock.vui etc. But cant find those on my phone.
With R1A I used Puba's panel launcher to launch radio and media panels as normal application. However I couldn't find the original post with it.
Is there a way to launch new media panel, also known as R3A media panel ? I mean that one which already has radio integrated.
