SMS2Mail - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

All,
I have the following question:
Is it posible to copy text messages to a specific folder in pocket outlook? IE: When a text message arrives (or is sent), this message is automatically copied to Outlook\SMS\Inbox (or Outlook\SMS\Sent) and sync this back to my exchange mailbox. This all has to be done on my PDA itself, since I never connect my phone to my PC.
I'm using an Asus P750 with the official Asus WWE WM6.1 ROM.
Does anyone knows a program to do this or is anyone willing to write a progam for this?
Regards,
Johan

converting *.mdb to cdb using activeSync 4.0

Hi guys
I use sprintDb Pro (database app) from kaione Soft and recently upgraded to WM 5.0 (thanks Buzz). Problem is that AS4 has a problem copying my databases to the desktop and vice versa. It says : access denied and general access error
other filetypes copy and convert with no problems. Would somebody using WM 5.0 please copy a *.mdb file to their XDAII and report what happened please ?
bump
hmm, just found this :
Note Synchronizing and converting Access database files is available only on devices running Windows Mobile software for Pocket PC 2003 and earlier.
bit strange I think, not funny
I get these same errors, Ive spent a day looking at MDB converters and had some limited success.... But I just want to plug my phone in and let it synch automatically.... Anyone got a surefire method or way around the errors the OP mentioned.
just edit registry key from 2 to 1 at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001
then soft reset and try syncing again.

It is incredible I had the problem that even after installing SprintDB I could not sync the database between my PocketPC and the PC.
But this simple registry hack solved the problem. Where did you find it? there is no indication about this in the SprintDB manual, nor on kaione web site!
One important thing, I have WM5.

Well, I did the same and it does not work because in the conversion settings for Microsoft Access in ActiveSync there is no option to convert from mdb to cdb , consequently it simply transfers the file from the desktop without converting it.
I also have wm5 and using latest ActiveSync.
Any help?
gonzaloblanco1992, I had no problem at all with the registry hack. Maybe try again after a fresh new installation.

motorola v3 - jasjar / contacts!!

Is there any way to copy all contacts from motorola v3 to jasjar (have no time to copy 1by1 600 contacts!????
i connected motorola to pc via mobilephone tools and get contacts but i cant copy them to outlook or something else!!
any ideas!?
tnx
not the answer but i need help to. how do i move my contacts from my qtek 9100 > qtek 9000 and my calender?
Check you have the latest version of the 'Mobile Phone Tools' package. The version I had (was for a V600, and was a legal registered copy) would automatically update off the web. After a few updates and reboots, my contacts would automatically synchronise with outlook (which you should have received a copy with with your universal).

Activesync transfer issue.

Hi
I'm trying to shift files backwards and forwards between my pc and my exec, by copying and pasting within explorer windows. I've doen this for years with my ipaqs. I can successfully copy from the pc to the exec, but when doing it the other way, everything appears to be happening normally, but when the transfer finished, the file isn't on the PC! What can I be doing wrong?
P.S Activesync 4.1 is a pile of crap. It's decided not to bother transferring half of my outlook contacts, I think because they have notes.
Also, on a kind of related topic, has anyone noticed that on the box the XDA exec comes in, it states that Windows NT4 is one of the supported operating systems? Not sure how this can be, as you can't install AS4 onto it.
Cheers
Quick update
I did a search by filename of one the documents that I copied from the Exec to my PC and found it buried in a temp file within the documents and settings folder!
Why is it not putting the files where I ask them to go?

Push Email and Extended Rom

I just updated to the Qtek RUU Prodigy 2170702 ROM. But I stopped the Extended Rom stuff installing (by doing a soft reset as it started to install).
I now notice that the Push Email icon on the Comms Manager is greyed out.
I also noticed that one of the Extended Rom files (That I didn't install) was named something with AKU2 in it.
Should I have let this file install to enable AKU2 (Push Email)?
Or is it just that I have my Wizard syncing with Outlook on my Laptop rather than with a remote Exchange server?
Incidentally I unlocked the extended rom and now all the .cab files that I didn't install have disappeared!
Sorry for the involved question, but I'm sure one of you Wizard Masters can help me.
Cheers
Can't help you on the other questions but on the Push, unless you are synching with a server the option would be greyed out so there's nothing wrong with the install from that perspective

Wifi sync error.

Hi,
Im trying to sync email trough internet. The problem is this, it says:
the securite sertificate on the server is invalid. Contact your Exchange
Server administrator or ISP to install a valid certificate on the server.
Can i some how get pass this message? Can i change some settings that it wont alert me that kind of messages?
When i use mail with IE browser it gives the same error but i can pass it just pressing continue and email works fine but tytn gives no continue buttons.

Hi Matti,
If your trying to use SSL, a PocketPC needs a proper SSL certificate installed to sychronise.
You need to install the root certificate - a good way to do this is by exporting the Root certificate to an CER file through IE. You just go to the site on a PC, and double click the little padlock. Then click export to a file to get the .CER file.
Once you've done this, copy it to your Pocket PC, and it should work immediately.
Good Luck
What is the path where I copy the file?
Cant find oultlook folders
Ok. Now I installed it and same error message appears.
Any ideas?
Is there any way to turn off certificate validation in windows mobile 5.0?
Ok I think I need this file but I dont have that CD. Could someone email me that file, please
AS_Cert_Off.cab it is on the Microsoft Mobile Information CD
