I am tryin to change the clock on my touch pro to the glass clock that I installed on my diamond...and nothing happens...I have truned off TF3D soft reset...and nothing....I tried it on a friends touch pro as well...and nothing...what am i missing here?
Maybe the .cab file is corrupt try another .cab
Greetings
I have tried a few of them....
It appears to only be the clock that will not change...Im using the same files from my diamond that work..they just wont work on my touch pro....
What about a direct .zip manila files overwrite? No .cabs involved.
not to familar with....
Im not to familar with out to do that just yet....would I just take the zip files and extract them to the manila folder in windows?

manila files do not have their own folder. they are in /windows. overwrite and add new manila files with total commander.

Hi boys...I've an artemis p3300 and i've installed the tir rom with manila2d...
Now...in this rom manila2d has not the original clock but the diamond like clock...
I want to install the original opal's clock...i've tried with installing m2d customizer...and with pasting the analog clock files...but i can't set the analog clock...
Now how can i do this??
Sorry for my english!!!and thank you for any questions
The files on their own won't do it unless the HTCHomeSettings.xml file is edited.
You would be better off downloading a skin with the clock you need and then use the m2d customiser to apply it.
Uncheck Manila2D in the Today settings, copy the clock images with Resco Explorer or Total Commander into Windows folder and now check Manila2D in the Today settings and be happy!
You can use any other Explorer then the two mentioned but notice that this Explorer must be capable to overwrite ROM files, the default File Explorer can't do this!!!

install it with Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7
Sorry...
I should have been more specific i have 1.93 rom which it it doesnt work on, i meant any other way then TF3D Config.
I have "instruction", how to do this:
1.Instal Manila Customizer (on Internal Storage!).
2.Make new Directory in "\Internal Storage\Program Files\Manila Customizer\Icons\".
3.Extract files from "*.theme" by WinRar (or another APP) into new folder.
4.Create empty ".jpg" file, named as Your folder, and copy it to "\Internal Storage\Program Files\Manila Customizer\Icons\".
5.Run "Manila Customizer".
6.Click "Options->Change->Icons", and find your folder name near "Item Name:".
7."Click to Apply Iconset".
8.Click "Exit->Exit and Start TF3D".
I think, it can help you...
PS. Sorry for my English

TF3D Config does work on 1.93 ROMS, I've no idea why the TF3D Config thread says that it won't as this has been proved time and time again to be false.

1. TF3D works on 1.93 for some.. or most^^
2. Rename "Blabla.theme" to "Blabla.zip" or Blabla.theme.zip whatever u want... then u can extract all files and copy them to your Internal Storage.
From there u can use Resco Explorer or another explorer to copy the manila files to /windows
overwride everything and restart TF3D Today Plugin.
Hi, i was just wondering if anyone could post this please tried searching only found full themes :/. Thanks
*bump* anyone please?
Here ya go
Just place into your /windows folder with Total Commander
Thanks Alot, this completes my manila overhaul heh..
What does this file do (stupid question maybe)?
k is it just me or does that zip file not work? if i extract it on my desktop the file is empty. if i just open the zip file i can see the manila file but not open it. if i put the zip file on my phone it will not open or extract
well figured it out, had to turn on option in vista to see system files. weird cause i have messed with many manila files and never had to do that. loaded it and it did not work for me. it just offset the icons in the tabs but did not change the look. funny thing is i have a sprint touch pro but have jds rom but just want the sprint icons. so i had them stock, gave them up, now want them back
this cab, click me from this post worked for me, click me
So I'm new to all of this. I bought a touch diamond with Sprint just last week and stumbled upon this site for themes and apps. It seems to be a very cool site for customization, but i've been wondering where should i start if i want to make my own themes? I got CFC and Manila editor. Are there tutorials or manuals on using those programs? And is there a way to extract the preinstalled theme that came with my phone so i can modify it? Thanks for any help.

To extract your phone's TF3D files
To extract your phone's TF3D theme, connect it to your computer using Activesync (XP) or WMDC (Vista) and click on "Explore Files". While exploring your devices files, navigate to the Windows folder of your cell phone then sort the files by type. Look for a collection of files that end in "manila" (there should be ALOT). Copy EVERY file that ends with .manila from your device to a folder on your computer (give it a couple minute as there are many files to copy).
To copy manila files to a manila editor
Using either Manila Editor of CFC GUI (i personally think CFC GUI is much easier to use because it gives me less errors), click on "File" and "Select Folder" to navigate to the folder where you copied the manila files on your computer. Select the folder and the files will be loaded into the program
To make your own theme
Once you have copied the manila files and loaded them into either Manila Editor or CFC GUI, the next step is to replace some of the icons with the ones you want for your theme. In CFC GUI (I havent used Manila Editor and dont remember the buttons for this so I cant instruct how to use it), click on any of the files and you will get a preview of it. If you would like to SAVE that icon in a png format to edit (with Photoshop/Gimp etc.) click on "SAVE AS" and choose the directory in which you would like to save it. To replace a manila file with your own, click on the file then select "REPLACE WITH" and choose your file (NOTE: The file you choose absolutely MUST be the same size as the original. If the original file is 128x128, the file you replace it with must also be 128x128).
Thanks jrodi. Im thinkin of making one myself too. But I wasnt sure if the icon size has to be the same as original.

There are multiple ways to install a theme to your device but ill go through the easiest and quickest method using Total Commander
1) Copy the manila files that you changed to a new folder on your phone (Give this folder the name of your theme). Turn off the TF3D plugin (Settings/Today/Items/ Uncheck Tf3d). Then use Total Commander to find the new folder and copy all of the files in the folder to the Windows directoty of your device. If you get a prompt, select "Overwrite All" and give it a minute to replace the files. Soft reset your device and youre done
I was just looking through the windows folder of my diamond but there are no files ending in manila, is it because its the sprint version or something?

"show hidden and systemfiles" in explorer..
hello guys, i dont own an hd2 yet but ill buy one this month but i have a question i want to add some cabs file on my device when i get. My question is i have download some cabs BUT when i open the winrar i dont get any cab file, all i get is some files that has bunch of numbers and one of them says "_setup.xml" so what should i do? should i directly put the winrar file on my hd2? since i dont get any cab file inside the winrar?? and if there's a cab file inside the winrar and i press the button "extract here" should i just upload the cab file only to my hd2 right??
Hope you guys can help me.
Thank you.
Hi.
A CAB file is a compressed installer file for mobile phones.
If you open it with winrar, you will see all the files it contains.
Just copy the original .cab file to your phone.
Click on the .cab file, and it will run the installer, and install the program on your phone.
You can choose to install to the main memory or the sd card.
Yeah - as above. What you're calling a "winrar" file is the cab file.
Extract a cab
Ok, I know this isn't the original question but...
is it possible to extract a .cab file - i mean to extract all the different files that make up the program , all the .exe .dll .ico etc etc. Wanting to do this to help me reverse-engineer a couple of omnia 2 cabs that don't work.

Tried that, all I get are 10 files. One of them is _setup.xml, the others are numbered files.
I've attached a screen capture of the files so you can see what they are.

Yes that's what you would expect as they are the cab install files.
If they don't mean anything are you sure you know what you're doing?
That's what I'm trying to find out. I assume that the WM program works in a similar way to windows program in that its a collection of files (exe, ico, dll, cfg so on so forth) that get installed in the appropriate places on the device. If so, how do you 'unpack' these files from the setup files
use a cab manager program. I don't so I can't recommend, but wincecab manager sound familiar. u can use them to create cabs of your tweaks, install files and such.
it seems that you have never used windows mobile (just copy the winrar file into the device and run it from the device)

I'm not trying to install a cab file (which the first post was about) I'm trying to decompile the omnia 2 video editor to get it to run on the HD2 but instead of starting a new thread, I asked on this one because it seemed (partially) relevant.
BTW, I've got the cab 'extracted' so thanks - no for the difficult part...
