hi folks,
i tried to create a custom skin for my samsung omnia with spb.
i followed the little tutorial on this site. (this one) my problem is:
when ive done all the steps, theres no picture in my background.
its black... can someone point me to some tweaks and tricks or
maybe another tutorial, how to change the background picture
for spb?

Is there anyone who has the original theme of the SPB Mobile shell working on a Samsung i780 (320x320 resolution) in combination with realvga? So with the original icons and layout.
I use now the one that was mentioned in the old thread 'SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 + i780 + RealVGA' but I hate the icons and basically just want to use the original theme which doesn't work out of the box on 96 dpi...
I hope anyone can help me with this I would be extremly thankfull for that ;-)

Hi Nico, just saw this thread. My apologies for not responding earlier. In regards to your question, you will need to uninstall spb ms2.1 first. Using total commander or resco file explorer, make sure that everything in the spb mobile shell directory is wipe clean.
As per the original thread, follow the instructions closely to re-install spb ms 2.1 again.
You have to make sure that spb ms 2.1 is installed in 128dpi mode.
After installation, run it under spb ms 2.1 to test out the program. It should run smoothly.
Run RealVGA again and set to 96dpi.
Soft reset.
Unzip the attached file and place it in spb folder to replace the qa_layouts.dat
Finally run spb at 96 dpi. The screen should be aligned to 320x320 now and all icons should be stock.
Hope this helps and let me know if you faces any problems.

first of all you don't have to apology, I am already extremly thankfull that you are willing to put some time and effort in it to help me with this, that is much appreciated!
The dat file you provided does work indeed to get me the old icons back thanks for that. However, if it is possible, could you also make the dat file so that it also restores the pinned icons on the top? So the default SPB theme layout? That is the only thing I am missing now.
Also I have just another small question, when I read the original post in the past I had difficulties to get it to work (pressing the SPB shell link just didn't do anything) I noticed on other forums that more people had this issue. After a while I noticed that you mentioned version 2.1. I did manange to find an installation file of this version on the internet, however the reason that I had issues in the past was that when you download the cab file from the SPB website you get version 2.1.1 and that doesn't work with the work instruction you provided. I do not have a special need for this new version if it is too difficult but do you have any idea why it doesn't work with the 2.1.1 version and would it be possible to get this dat file you will create to work with that version as well?

Please use the attached file and check if it works. You should have the 12 pinning icons with 6 program icons in your launcher.
If there is some messed up icons, I apologise as I did not have the means to debug. Possibly you can upload to imageshack and link it over here.

I'm sorry to bother you with a problem that has been discussed a lot of times, but although I've been searching a lot, I havn't found a decent answer/solution.
After installing the original german O2 ROM 1.93, the TF3D 0.67 and the "HTC Black.theme" (to make sure we are talking about the same version, it is 2355289 Bytes large ) I have black-in-black text on Programs>All [Programm>Alle in german] and in weather>5 days [Wetter>5 Tage].
Is there a solution to this?
Please do not post a "Same problem" or "yes there is" but a step-by-step installation. The Problem with this great forum is, that quite often there are too many post so you can't read all.

i guess the only thing left to do is either use another theme or wait for sushilange to update the tf3d config
I'm using Dutty's v2.2 ROM and he has rectified this problem in this ROM. I used to have this problem on the weather and Data screens but on Dutty's ROM it goes to a white background screen and i can now see all the information!
in order to solve this problem
you have to do series of works.
Thus, I suggest just flash other ROM or change a new theme.
I have tried to do so , but fail.
Finally, I replace the files I needed to the other theme that had the right color.

Hi been looking everywhere on this site and all over the net and I cant really find any themes that fit my samsung omnia which has wqvga resolution. Can someone please help me find some as I really want some of the really good themes on this board but I dont know which ones fit wqvga.

Installation Instructions:
-------------------------
1) If you haven't installed mobile shell before, skip to step 2.
Run UnInstall.mscr to REMOVE the previous version (this will completely remove the
'SpbMobileShellSkins' folder from your "My Storage" / "Storage Card".)
2) Extract the .zip file into the root of your desired storage location.
3) Using your device, open File Explorer and find your desired installation
location (as above). Go to 'SpbMobileShellSkins\Scripts'. In here run the
file 'Mortscipt.exe'. This will enable the other scripts to run.
4) In File Explorer, run the file "Install_WQVGA.mscr"and set your LANGUAGE.
5) You will notice 28 other scripts like Luna_Paper.mscr. Each time you run
one of these, when you go to SPBShell/Programs/Tools/SBP Skins a new skin
will become available. If you want all 28, then run all 28 scripts.
Check the website for screenshots.
6) SOFT RESET the device or run the script "ScanStatus.mscr".
Having trouble?
- If all goes wrong, or you don't like the new skins, you can revert to
the original skin by running the 'Orignal.mscr' script!
- If the link into the Spb Skins sub-menu doesn't work, CREATE IT AGAIN
tapping on the relative .mscr script from the Scripts folder.

TIP : you can perform a system format incase something goes wrong with your omnia by switching the phone on while holding both call and end call . This will allow you to format the device and go back to initial setting like the first time you switched your omnia on.
ok thanks but how come all the people on here that are making class themes dont make em for wqvga aswell?

second: omnia is new and the only phone with that resolution and making a skin needs many days of work. so why should anyone do that for one percent of the users for free?

With that said, I'm a omnia user as well and I would suggest you check out some other forums like Modaco as they have a specific forum for Omnia and you will find more information you might be looking for there.
There will be some discussion on xda forum and I make it a habit to keep in touch with several forums as to broaden my knowledge base.

The H1 is newer, but HI3 is the latest with many improvements see here:

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. Got my HTC Touch Diamond recently and wants to change the TouchFLO 3D theme (have different colours for the tabs, clocks and all). I have not upgraded the firmware of my phone. I have read alot of threads available here but I still cant figure out how to install new themes to my Touch Diamond. Confused of all the things about ROMs. I hope someone can guide me on the steps to change the themes on my phone.
So these are my questions:
1) What software do I need to change the themes of my Diamond? Like colours of the tabs clocks and all? (customize my TouchFLO 3D interface) Is it the Diamond TF3D Config Setup v0.6.7 or something?
2) Do I have to change or upgrade the firmware of my phone? I've heard many names of the different ROMs but I don't know what are they.
3) Any avenues or threads already set up to understand all these? If yes, please provide me the link.

First before asking the question of firmware, post your present firmware.
Next if you want to upgrade your rom, Check it in the Diamond rom development section, the latest hit is 2.03 or dutty's which r generally awesome.
To change your TF3D themes visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405749
and check all the sticky's put up.....most of them will contain all the answers for your question.

Hello Ganesh, these are themes for "old" manila 2D......than you have to install that first on your phone.......and for sure you loose some functionality like weather widget etc. etc.
And even than it may not work flawless.....
