My Weather and google maps aren't working right on my touchflo manila 2d. i have a HTC MOGUL/TITAN, it is for alltel so its a titan. I can't add a location for the weather but i can search it, weird i know. and for the google maps i can't set a location which i dont understand, it says can't set location maybe its beta or something?> please help

Start->Settings->Connections->Connections->Advanced->Select Networks->Edit->Proxy Settings (then uncheck "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet”.

Hi everyone, I searched the forums but couldn't find an answer to this...
I'm using the HTC Home plugin which is great but I was wondering which internet connection the Weather tab is using to get updates on the weather...It refreshes the weather information when my wireless is turned off...is it going through gprs, tzones? I cant find any information on how to control how frequently it updates the weather information...is there a way to only limit it to wifi...i dont want to rack up a huge data bill....any help would be much appreciated!!!

Auto update
Click on the name of your city. Then go to "menu" at the bottom of the page. Click "weather options". Uncheck "download data automatically". Now you can manually update when you have wi-fi.
Or you could install and older version of HTC home. There is a glitch in the weather tab and it can't update through GPRS at all.
after installing xda-team_manila2d.cab on my alltel touch, my mms server under the pics/vids configuration was gone, and it wont let me add another one. any ideas?
I'm trying to update weather using SPB Weather using t-Mobile proxy
216.155.165.50 with a port of 8080
and UNABLE to update. Same with SBSH Weather.
Opera works fine and display pages. Google maps work OK too.
I have a similar problem with you.
It use to work but after a hard reset i had to add the connection again, and now it's not working any more.

My location weather should work both indoors & out, but with the latest builds you will need to have wifi on even if your not using it, i.e. if you want to download My Location weather through GPRS you still need wifi turned on.

I'm searching for a solution to get Weather updates and use Google Maps App behind a (corporate) proxy. Googling and searching in this forum I got that:
Weather app is called Manila and it has no known registry keys to configure proxy
Google suggests to use a Mobile Maps configuration WITHOUT proxy
Now I'm trying to figure out if these apps are made to use a proxy or not, and if they use a proxy, which type of proxy (HTTP,SOCKS) they use, and if they works with NTLM authentication
Anyone can help me?
Hello all, I found the solution.
You must:
set the proxy in the APN configuration
connect to the net via Internet Explorer
fill the username and password in Internet Explorer and SAVE it
that's all
This worked for me with the plain rom.
