I had some icons in .png format, which I changed to bmp since claunch doesn't support .png (or .ico). The icons size is 48x48, so I set claunch to 48x48. It does however "zoom" into the left upper corner of the icon instead of displaying it in it's original size. See the screenshot, the power icon is the one I mean (the others are resized by claunch)
same thing
I'm having the same issue on a "native and naked" ATT 8525 with WM5 anybody else?
I had a problem similar to that when I first started using cLaunch. I was wanting to use 36x36 icons in cLaunch and sized them to that. But, only the top left corner ended up showing. I resized them to 32x32, but kept the 36x36 size in cLaunch and that turned out perfect!!
So, if you're wanting to use 48x48 in cLaunch, try resizing the icons to 42x42 and see if that doesn't do the trick.
I have the same problem. Claunch doesn't seem to like any icon over 32x32. Try shrinking the icon to 32x32 and then set claunch to display it at 48x48. That's what I did with mine and they seem to look fine doing it that way.

I have this idea also for a fue weeks now, this will be realy nice to see. Because now i dont have to many plugins on today screen because that scroll bar is so ugly and anoying. Let's see what can be done
I'd love it, too. I know that too many plug-ins on today screen will decrease performance, but I'd just love to have weather plugin or quick dial pictures just below the bottom edge. That would be fantastic, especially when used with FTouchFlo...So...pretty pretty please!!!
Hello,
My todayscreen is about 500 pixels long, so with the ugly desent bar....You gues
With severals programs you can change the value of :
Horizontal Scrollbars Width (2)
Vertical Scrollbars Width (2)
Then there will be juste a black line....the scrolling you'll do with FtouchFlo
Yeah - I use 'FTouchFlo' and I can scroll on the today screen with my finger (you will have to make the vert, scroll bar thin as above post).
So search for 'FTouchFlo' on these forumns.
Yeah, but scroll bar is quite useful everywhere else, isn't it? Well,at least for me it is...

not when you have touchflo I rarely use the scroll bars unless im using the stylus but even with the stylus I don't always use the scroll bars anyway i just want the today screen scroll bars removed or something .
But its nice to know if you've got anywhere to scroll to in the first place, right? I like seeing where I am in the list, that's what I use scroll bars for. Just information. Also, sometimes you've got small menus popping down (for example when choosing appointment time or something) when scroll bars can be useful.

well then you wouldn't install the program if someone developed it. I would prefer a scroll bar less today screen and so would some other's, its not all that useful to me. I never put items over the limit cose in my opinion they look ugly. and a finger friendly way to scroll through the plug-ins on the today screen.
I agree with sebastian. I like to see a thin scroll bar of width 12px in IE when I check my gmail. I like to see when I'm close to the bottom of the page so I don't have to waste my time scrolling right down to the bottom. It would completely disorientate me to not know where I am in the many lists in all the programs I use, or to know how may things there are in my list. Wouldn't it with you?!
SMS, Resco file explorer, agenda one, Adobe acrobat, word, pocket E-sword, and file browsers in all my other programs (like TCPMP, SPB Imageer which i use frequently) are all pretty much screwed when I set the vertical scrollbar to minimum length 2. Besides that black line is pretty noticeable and annoying.
What we need please is a SEPARATE scroll bar for the today screen. I'd donate straight away for that.
+1 to frenchglen
Edit: double posted! sorry

I only want a program to get rind of the today screen scroll bar not for evenything, an alternative i wouldn't mind is a program to make the scroll bar less that 10px which is the current minimum. what exactly do you mean by separate scroll bar?
What I (and I'm pretty sure the others) mean is:
We want to be able to scroll up and down on the today screen without an ugly scroll bar AT ALL (an invisible one),
But leave alone the normal scroll bar in all the programs we use. I don't want to get rid of that!
Besides, you can't make it invisible, the registry only allows it a minimum of 2px. To resize it, try SKTools or google/search the forum for the registry hack.

this is the reg hack:
To change the thickness of the scrollbars at the right/bottom of documents larger than the screen, adjust...
For the horizontal (bottom) scrollbar:
HKLM\System\GWE\cyHScr = 9 (DWORD decimal)
For the vertical (right) scrollbar:
HKLM\System\GWE\cxVScr = 9 (DWORD decimal)
The default thickness is 13. You can set the value to pretty much anything you like > if you dont wanna see it > 0
hi to all,
this is another annoying thing i have been trying to get rid of for a few months now.
it is regarding the grey horizontal line which sits right under the top bar.
to be more precise: i am not referring to today-plugin seperator lines in common, i mean just the top one, which seperates the top bar (containing the radio icons, etc and the start menu) from the first today plugin.
here are my findings so far:
- as it is somehow related directly to the os, you cannot make it transparent
- the reg-key hklm\software\microsoft\today\items\htchome\lock position = no does not solve the problem
- setting hklm\software\microsoft\color\6 (today screen horizontal bars) to the same color as the background does also not work as it only affects the other plugin seperator lines
is there any news to this topic? maybe there are more possibilities to tweak when you have 6.1 device?
many thanks
I have the same question.
i used to use vjtoggletoday to make the top bar smaller. the default size is 26 i believe. Set it to 24 and that should hide the seperator but keep the rest of the top bar visible.
it's not the exact fix you're looking for but it pretty much get's you the same look.
i have been using vjtoggletoday as well for hiding the buttom-bar and the top-bar separator line. but from time to time the buttom-bar and the top-bar were re-appearing - so i was hoping to find a more stable solution. i am using now dcinobar which only hides the buttom bar
did you ever find a resolution? I found this site...have not tried, but you may want to take a look. (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/mobile/PPCColorConfig.aspx)

I found some amazing homescreen++ (formerly BatteryStatus) themes which consuming abviously more space on the screen, as available on my Neo.
On screen shots I saw, that the bottom bar is not visible. So I think HomeScreen++ can override it. But not on my Neo :-(. Is there any option I have to set?
Btw, can I change the two button/functions in the bottom bar. In the last image I have used, I had "actions" and "contacts". Here I have "calendar" and "contacts". I found actions quite useful for me, no idea how to get this back.
Help
Holger
The last one I was able to fix on my own . Found "Softkeys" at System Settins and installed the "Actions.cab" from HTC.
But still have no idea, why some themes are not able to use the space of the buttom bar on my Neo...

After using Grumps wonderful app
1. I need to know how I can charge the bottom bar to be transparent on all the tabs not just the home and
2. if anyone knows which file is the SPRINT TV icon on the sprint version. I really want to change it.

Lexxirae: Could you please mod these 2 files for me? I want the same thing but only semi-transparent (like 30%, mostly solid)
I am using Ivan's ROM on my Sprint TP which came with the bars at 20%, but only for the home-tab. When installing/uninstalling custom clocks and background on all-tabs, the top bar went solid somehow. Now I can only find fully transparent 18c460d8 files like yours. If I delete the file so it restores from ROM, it is still solid, so I guess Ivan's ROM must have modding it during the first boot customization or something.
Anyway, I would really really love a 30% transparency on top bar and tabs (in all tabs), but I don't know how to make these files. Could someone please post them for me.
Thanks.
Nevermind. I learned how to do it all myself with Manila editor.
I still don't understand why when I make my image less transparent than 50%, the home tab is automatically 50%, and my image is only used on the other tabs... but if my image is lighter than 50%, then the home tab copies it. ...strange!
