New HTC Duo Touch Apps for our..... Elfs, Artemises and whatnots.
Im did not make these Apps, I didn't even make them Work (just parts).
This thread is another good example of the good people roaming XDA helping out where they can to get the newest stuff on Phone's that might never see these apps officially.
So please think about the free time people spend in doing this and think about that only constructive and elaborate explanations of problems can help get you a better app. Or even better maybe a solution

How to uninstail this? It's just deleting from programm list!!!!

It works, almost.
Once you map "lock" to the long press, it seems that no other settings you try will overwrite it.
Used SoftKey to restore Contacts rather than EndKey on the screen, but EndKey is still in control of the long keypress on the right hardware key.
Tried to un-install from Settings, couldn't complete the uninstallation.

Lock is the default behaviour for Longpress of Right SoftKey
So setting Endkey up for that behaviour is pretty useless.
Yes you remove it from the Remove Software list (Post before that)
Nope Un installed great here, but you probaply meant that it kept the Longpress of Red Key still locking device with that.

You must have access to the touch dual....

The airplane mode is'nt used that much by 99% of the touch owners, to lock the device we have the red phone button, to terminate a connection one could use the icons on the top bar, the vibrate function can be easely accessed when you have the 5 or 6 tab home (see last screenshot) and finally the settings wont allow you to customise it (yet)?

I totally agree it's a useless app, but you know how some people can be, they always want the newest. And i think officially it's suposed to replace the long press of Red Phone button An the ither hand the right soft key set to contects is also a totla waste of softkey button .
Oh and for the previous post, there are no cab's, believe me i would have posted them first thing.
Ot the moment the Duo Touch doesn't have Ext Rom like Kaiser it seems. Which mean most of the extra apps are not installed from ext rom, which means no cabs. It's just a challenge to get them out before HTC releases it
I really hpoe the keyboard is possible to port.
And no i don't have acces to a Duo. I'm actually someone comes with a solution and mybe some devopers figure out how to chenge the functions.
Ringtone of 2 clicks vs 2 clicks.
Airplane 2 clicks VS 2 clicks but endkey is faster. (faster even when its mapped to red button)
Vibrate 2 clicks VS 2 clicks but endkey is faster. (faster even when its mapped to red button)
LongPress 1 hold vs 2 Clicks.
Terminate Connections 2 clicks vs not working (again hope that by putting up what i have that somone finds out why)
It's not super usefull but it's new.
Also don't like the fact that it doesn't run from SD as it looks for graphics in Windows Folder and it again fills up windows with even more files.

The big thing I'm looking forward to from the Dual is the new zooming/fat button taskbar. Hopefully HTC will carry that over to the regular Touch too.
Anything that'll help keep the stylus in its slot is a big deal to me.

Looking at history of HTC and Win Mobile that doesn't seem likely that's why it's so great there are people here trying to rip it out and make it compatible.

i second noonski they dont provide newer ROMs or apps from the newer phones officially so someone has to rip it.....

the zip is for cooking roms ... you can try to cook your own rom or you can try to find a rom with the HTC keyboard in it.

the HTC Keyboard is also WWE .. I think that you can't have the german keyboard working.

There is a german version of Keyboard to BTW
But at the moment i din't think that putting a lot of time into an actual cab installer was worth it as the Keyboard just isn't finished yet.

You could also just trow all files into windows directory and add the Registry settings manually found in the rgu file but i would advise it.
(unless you like doing this of course)

... mmh.. well.. it is working but there are some ... weird things !
I'd like to know if you have the same issue with the ENGLISH keyboard.
(I have both English and French keyboard.. it's nice... I just have to switch language when I want to write in french or english greaaat).
There is no french dictionnary .. "weiiird" preloaded... so it reacts like the 123 keyboard and I have to choose "new word" all the time.. to create every word ! I have not the same issue with the english dictionnary .. WEIRD ! I don't think I need a file for that.. but maybe there is something I need to change in RGU but I don't see where... grrr.
I have put the Keyboard as default Sip and guess what... it causes issue ! grr... when I have put it as default .. both Keypad and Keyboard were not usable... (no xt9, abc and 123 choice.... just the "Sym" mode and can't go back to other mode... GRRRR) but in fact....I'm not sure that the issue comes from there.. because it appears after a soft-reset... and guess what ... the next soft-reset has no issue... and the next soft-reset makes the issue appears again GRRRR what the **** ?
But ...... there is something REALLY annoying with the keyboard is that I just have 3 buttons in the "Sym" mode ... yeah....
"shift" (bottom left) "sym" (at the bottom center) and "<-" (at the bottom right) ..... i have (.. let me count that) ... 34 empty buttons ! why???? .. I have the same issue with French and English keyboard...
I need more tests... but I'm not sure if I can solve those issue.. but when the keyboard is working it's reallyyyy nice !
Can you test the "sym" button and see if you get the sym panel working perfectly ? thanks !

If your Rom Cooker has skinned the Pin-Number input, and you want that black just delete the reg-key "HKLM/Security/ResOver/Bitmaps/BaseDll".

Important:
The Buttons for the phone being muted were missing in my first release of the Comm Manager, so you should download the fixed file I just uploaded. I first did not realize that because I only tested the functions of Comm Manager itself.
You can help me to improve my Comm Manager if you could get me the answers to the following Questions:
There are some Buttons missing to get all Functions intigrated. So where is the definition of which png belongs to which funktion and how could that be changed.
Maybe the key to that problem can be found in the SCHAPS~1.000 file but i wasnt able to open it correctly. So does sombody know what Filetype the File is and how it can be opend and edited (Notepad gives me nonsense)
Some insight in the Reg Key HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\DisableButtonText would be nice. For it is responsible for displaying the Comm Manager in different ways. But with the PNG's the only usable option is the Value 2. Otherwise you got the original Comm Manager displayed. But the Options are quite interresting (0 = Original Setup with Button Text on the Top / 2 = Buttontext on every Button / 3 = No Button Text.). But there has to be a place to where this Key is referring.

To your second question. The Comm Manager can be uninstalled through the "Installed Program List" in Windows Settings. But if u use the default Comm Manager u can go back too by editing HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\DisableButtonText (Value from 2 to 0)

First of all no Question is a noob question. We all had to learn once.
There is no Language File in all of the Skins. MS made the wonderful thing to store them in other lokations and not meld them with the Skin Files since WM5 (i think it is since WM5). So u can use this Package with every Language

For i dont now Psshutxp i cant promise you anything. But i'll have a look at that.
For the Fonts: I can't really say anything about the Fonts in your english rom, because i'm not able to get them displayed with my device. But i can tell you that i'm not satisfied with the Button Texts, too. I wanted them not to be displayed, but i cant find the keys resposible for that. There is a reg key in the setup.xml, that seems able to do that, but if i change it the skin is gone, too. If anybody knows how that task is done pleas tell me.
General Information:
There are the PNG files of the Backgrounds and Buttons, the Commmanager.exe and a file I was not able to identify in my cab File (SCHAPS~1.000). Maybe the Key to that Task is in that last file, but i'm not shure which Program I should use to open it properly, because this file isn't mentioned in the setup.xml. Notepad gives me a lot of glyphes beside some readable information. And I'm really not sure what it does (im much better in editing graphics than programmng, actually).
I also would like to know where i can find the assignement Buttons=Tasks so that i'm able to integrate new tasks with new Buttons into the Comm manager
(i would like to integrate voip, for example).
I would be grateful for help

I checked the downloads and was able to unzip them with Windows and WinRAR without problems. I think your download has been corrupted. I think you should try again to download the files.
Beside that I must honestly say that i did not know where your problem is.

Maybe you have an other Comm Manager installed. You first have to uninstall it.
When does the Installation Process stop? During the installation or at the beginning?
EDIT: I downloaded my file and installed it. It is working on my device.

I think your question refers to the smartdial funktion. Whenever you start dialing, the matches found on your phone will be displayed. I believe that this is a funktion of WM5 and WM6 (programmed by HTC), it appeared in every dialpad skin i tried on my phone (if the skin was programmed for WM5 or WM6 and that funktion is supported by them).
And sorry if i have to say that. My programming skills are very limited so i do not really know.
But there are several reg-keys in the setup.xml referring to the smartdial funktion. The best thing you can do to check that is by using a regestry editor (i provided a link to one in my first post) and edit that keys one after an other and look what will happen (dont forget to reboot after each change). I know, that this is a long process and it cant be seen if u have success by doing that. But that is the way i'm going through all the times I change programms.
You'll find the keys referring to Smartdial in "HKLM\Software\HTC\SmartDialing"
I hope that is what u want and u'll have success with that. I think you'll not damage anything by doing that, if u do one change after an other and remeber the original settings. But I for shure can't give you a guaranty.

Indeed, when I start to compose a number, the smartdial tries to match contact links, but what I'm talking about is present all the time, not only when I compose a number.

You will experience that after flashing and booting up, the system will "hang" just let the device rest 20-30 sec before operating it.
after configuring, do a soft reset.
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ON NIKE
after switching to task manager version 2.0.31249.1

not entirly true, because I have used that version, and the problem is still there
I use a newer version now, but obviously same issue is present.
But for some reason my wwe version dont have this issue.

also remove connection setup aurostart from registry

ill try it, but in the wwe version it all works fine, no lag or hanging

when you hang up a call, it says "Redial".. you forgot to translate it!
Getting anywhere with the scrolling problem?
Everything else is working fine yet!

one more "problem".. when Im typing a sms message, the touch diamond keypad buttons don't show that the are being pressed. They only do that if I hold the button down for a long time! Your previous touch-it release didn't hva this problem! (If it even is a problem? Or is it supposed to be like this?)
It shows that it is being pressed when I press the ABC T9 button!

i have not translated, im using language files from norwegian rom so if there is a language problem, then its there from htc's side
have you chosen norwegian as default language in keyboard option? cause it works fine for me.
and maybe try to select norwegian in instillinger/regionale instillinger?

see also bottom of my first post, there is a link to language cab files for diamond keyboard, perhaps installing the norwegian keyboard cab the issues might be solved.

Great ROM
This is the fastest 6.1 ROM I've tried yet. But you really need to fix that hang that always occurs after a soft reset. It happens when I click the top menu bar (either start menu, taskbar icon or something similar). Then total freeze for 20-30 seconds. But after that it's blazing fast and so far totally stable.
Missing jbed java runtime, but that I can always install myself. I'm missing the cube though. I was a keen "cuber" and wonder what is the quickest way to re-enable it?
Also, quick contacts on the today screen in the home plugin does not seem to work (probably because you have removed the cube).

1. working with it. But to me the advantage with this build outweights the minus (hanging issue) I solved it in wwe version, but same "fix" didnt work with this..but as I said, im working on it
2. one of the reasons its fast is because cube is removed, so depends on what you want but if u want cube, you need to install a cab...
3. that quick contacts in htc home is not workin, has nothing to do with the cube is gone, It has with registry settings beeing diffrent somehow, I will look into it.

After installing so I decided to reisntall another ROM because this one is freezing and can not make a connection with PC.
May the writer making the ROM more stable and functional so can be installed again.

did you read anything from the 1st post?
besides, connection to pc? Im using this rom, its a released rom of my personal rom, and Im syncing it almost everyday.
the rom is very stable, the hanging issue with this buildversion is common, but acceptable due to its stability and speed.

Doesn't rotate programs on the Touch Pro here, but it can somehow rotate the TouchFlo interface.

Same on HTC Diamond. Rotates main screen (messes up graphics for the icon tab) but still rotates it. Wont rotate anything else i tried so far.

- Make sure you have the .NET Compact Framework v3.5 installed. It will work with 2.0, but can have issues (I've run my tests with 3.5)
Also, there are known issues with the touchflo interface. Normally screen rotation is completely disabled on the diamond to remove any possibilities of program messing up, so it's bound to cause issues i'm afraid. When I ran tests on my device, I didn't come across any errors, although I have completely removed TF3D from my diamond.
Can you try and make the error happen again, and record the steps you took to make it happen, as well as all the information the error window gives you, and i'll try and correct the problem.
Edit 1: Forgot to add that the library cannot retrieve orientation information on some devices with certain roms installed, but that's out of my control i'm afraid. It will affect all programs that rely on the "Sensors" sdk library.
Edit 2: Can you also tell me which roms (OS/Radio) you are using as well, as this will likely be related to the problem in some way (See Edit 1)

As I mentioned in a previous post, Manilla (Touch Flo 3D) is known to cause problems in non-portrait orientations...
The options are in the top of the right softkey menu, there's 3 of them:
Enable Rotation
Enable Sounds
Enable Images

Application is ver similar as gsen in regards to Telus Mobility Diamonds.
Rotation does not work except for within the programs list. Any where else (text messages, ie, etc) absolutely does not work

Yeah, i'm afraid that's a limitation of the library which has been made availabel to us. It Telus want to go and destroy the ROM/device, then unfortunately we have no control over it. It's like T-Mobile removing 64MB of the RAM when they changed the shell, it's only got 128MB now. I do wish I knew why companies like to bastardise perfectly good phones, then sell them on as if they were the same... It's quite insulting sometimes...

Thanks for this mate,works like a charm.Tried the rotation out on most of my programs and it works flawlessly.My contacts rotate fine and the text message also,the text input even changes to full qwerty keyboard on rotation,amazing.

No problems to configure at all,the only problem is when rotating touch flo 3d,but i know thats going to be a problem for any rotation app.thanks again

I've disabled TouchFlo 3D on my device, so unfortunately I can't get the window title/class for it, to add it to the blacklist. If you would be kind enough to find the class for it (i'm guessing the entire today screen) then it can be added to the configuration file for all to see.
I've added the "Applications.ini" file to my server for folk to download. this will be updated more frequently than the application, so keep an eye out for changes

I don't think it likes my Touch Pro. It works fine using File Explorer but that's it. After trying to test it out in the all settings and all programs menus it gives the error that Levka posted.

As other users have stated, as well as myself in the first post, it suffers form the generic error what all programs using the GSensor library. It has been covered in the GSen program info page too...

As previously stated, i'm afraid this is out of my control, although hopefully in the near future, the library will be improved, and will be able to deal with these "different" devices. As soon as support has been improved, i'll be sure to include it in my latest build.

[REQ] 3G PHONE CANVAS / DIALER - WVGA - WM 6.5.x

I am looking for a 3g phone canvas package for my Xperia X1 kitchen. It's a WM 6.5.5 ROM (Build 23569), the X1 is a WVGA phone and the phone canvas should support the landscape mode. German MUI files would be nice to have but I can do the translation myself.
I don't care much about the design. A standard HTC design would be nice.

Cyberdyne, that's for debugging purposes, you can merge some of them.
Examples: merge all packages in \Phone_Canvas_4_2_51720111829_0\, merge two VideoTelephony packages.
PhoneCanvas fix is a fix for WM6.5.3.

It works great! No WM6.5.x problems any more and landscape works perfect as well. Thank you very very much!
I just saw that you have an X1 as well. I have one more Problem:
The new SE camera app R27-35059 (R3A) which worked like a charm with the WM6.5 ROM does not work at all with the new WM6.5.5 ROM. Now I am using the old R23-33178 but this app does not have auto flashlight and geo-tagging features. Which camera app do you use?
And last but not least: Are you the one who found the fix for HTC volumen control for WM6.5.x? I tried the cab-file first which didn't work but cooking the pakage solved the problem and now it works again.

Hey ultrashot, do you remember the hex values you changed to fix the phone softkey icon for the rhodium dialer? I have found the values for leo dialers and others, but cannot find the same values to change in the CDMA rhodium dialer that I use. I've attached a screenshot showing the problem (hard to see since it's mostly transparent, but there's an outline around the phone icon that is not present in 6.5). Hmm, I don't remember exactly, but I think I simply changed the png icon. Perhaps with some hex-editing. It was done so long ago...

Not here! With the new camera app (which works perfectly with WM6.5) nothing happens when I press the camera button and when I press the camera icon in the Manila Picture-tab the camera starts but without any text (like a missing mui-file).
When I use the older camera pakage everything works just fine.
I just downloaded your kitchen and found a pakage named "fix_CameraLauncher". Could this be the trick?

No. Really, there is no any trick for XperiaCamera. It works out of the box. Have you tried it on device, or in a kitchen?
fix_CameraLauncher is a thing for co-existance of HTC camera and SE Camera, should work only on my rom.

I cooked it ina kitchen. Now I have tested 4 different R27 camera apps and only one (the one from your kitchen) worked with my Build 23569 kitchen. Yours was the only one which stays in the window-folder. The other pakages always installed to \program files\... ! But I am not sure if this is the reason why it works. One small problem still exists. The camera button in the Manila-Picture-Tab does not start the app?! Does it work in your ROM?

OK, this is getting more and more off-topic but I have an other small problem. When I was testing your bluetoothswitch app I noticed that I don't get a BT symbol in the upper info-bar. Telefon, WiFi, Battery, clock and all kinds of notification work (small icons can be seen) but BT. BT functionality is OK but there is no small icon. What could it be?

Not yet. I didn't know if this is compatible with WM6.5.x. I though there has changed the files which are responsible for the icons from WM6.5 to WM6.5.x?! But I could be wrong and I will test the Taskbar Icon Manager.
I will also include your g-sensor dummy pakage!

It is compatible whith 6.5.X, and it manages the extra icons in the taskmanager: bluetooth, headset...

Ha ha! You don't realy think that I could fix such a problem by messing around with lua scripts?!
I cook ROMs for 3 different phones and I don't have the time to "learn" what to do and how to do stuff with lua scripts.
And I could only use it with my X1 ROM because Wizrard and Kaiser only have Manila2D and afaik that has no lua scripts.
