Could anyone who has flash working on their X1 give a step by step guide to installing it for the rest of us to follow?
Ive installed every .cab I can find relating and done soft resets galore but i still cant view sites like dailymotion.com or use odeon.co.uk's flash booking system
Any ideas?

If you talking about de-branding your handset then am sorry its not possiable right now.
There are gouys working on hardspl, once don then we will be able to de-brand the handset.
For mean time you can change the user agent to view your favorites websites.
I hope that will help.

Yeah pretty sure talking about Flash lite 3.
odeon booking flashes like crazy, but the flash does load, using opera and flashlite 3.1 cab
it might be theres too much of it going on in lfash though, the site looks to be badly written, the banner appears to be flash and the adverts render all over the place.
Much easier to use the non-flash link above the flash booking though

Fash Videos ie Youtube in Opera is done with My Fash, Don't know why flashlite doen't work.

Are you saying all you did is install opera 9 and the My_Flash3_1.CAB file and now you can get the full youtube.com site on your phone?

Sweet, ill try it in a bit, as I have actually just got a new X1 (long story) so im reloading all my shizzle onto it
I Sent se a mail about the missing flash lite support and got my answer today,the support will come in the future in IE and nothing else was their response..
Will take forever i guess..

Hi guys. This has taken up too many of my evenings now.
Out of the box, Flash did not work on my phone (Opera 9.5 build 2141). I installed Flash Lite from Paul's List but it still doesn't work.
It seems like so many people have it working, but there must just be one little thing I'm missing. Do I have to turn it on somewhere after installing?
I've also tried Flash Player for Pocket PC, but this breaks Opera.
Could anyone confirm if that version of Flash Lite works, or tell me where I'm going wrong?

- browse with opera to some flash websites !
i tested some sites with .FLV playback and other flash-sites.
so far it works for me !

I tried the CABs from here but unfortunately it still isn't working. In fact with the My_Flash3.1.cab from that page, Opera is very unstable.
Could you tell me where you got your working CAB from, and an example of a flash site that works with it.

i installed the .cab from "sthoefts" reply on page1 of this thread.
i did not install any other .cab (i.e. the keyboard fix)

(this one runs on a high resolution for pcs and is still working on my x1 (but not very fluid)
keep in mind: flash_lite supports only ActionScript 1.0, 2.0 (Flash 8 or earlier) and not 3.0: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashlite/version/
The new (current) Flash CS4 is Version 10 an tha last one (CS3) is Version 9 ... so you can do the math ... sooner or later none of the new websites will work with flash_lite3.1

p.s.: and yes: i have some stability issues with opera ... but it works for me most of the time.
(the hardest issue of opera for me is the reconnect bug in the german network.)

whilst this isnt an iphone killer application, it still transforms my tired old o2 into a new device.
it has some very cool features. gone are the days of the stylus - you dont need it.
however in saying that there are still a few bugs to sort out. but honestly people, i would recommend everyone trying it out.

I have Taxist´s ROM 2.03 TX installed on my Magician. I downloaded Home Point UI, couldn´t install it from PC, put it in the Storage of my machine, but it doesn´t work! What is my mistake? Or have i to load another program (without "Home" in the title=? And if, where do i find a download link? Many questions at one time, i know, but Please help me!!! Thank you !

Works fine with my WWE 2.03 TX ROM. Only some texts like the date are crapped because they are displayed in russian language by the pda.
Edit: Solved by editing the regional settings!

You have to copy the folder to your pda device. The application can be started there.

Theres a new version available, 1.51. But I think it´s only for wm 5/6
It seems they're changing their web pages. Looks like more aiming on commercial products. After all I hope they will continue developing the Home application for free and WIN2003 PPC compatible.

monday i noticed the upgrade available for opera mini. i tried to download it and i got an error that said it doesn'r recognize my phone. does anyone have the latest version?
I have been using it for a while. I'm using a newer version of Emerstec's Jbed, also. It download files now, which is a big plus for me! (Make sure you get the signed version.)
The only issue is that if you minimize it then maximize it again later, sometimes you can't control it after you minimize it again a few times. I'm not sure if that's an issue with OperaMini or Emerstec's Jbed, though.

i tried to download that one and it appeared as if it worked, but i thought the 4.1 version downloaded itself (no ore IE for downloads). i tried it out today, but it looks and acts the same. can you tell me how to view what version i have?

i got 4.1 but its not [?signed?]
i don't know if i'm using the correct terms or not, but i did get a v4.1 installed. my problem is that now when i try to go to a website, i get the attached prompts. so do i have an unsigned version? and if so, soes anyone have a signed v4.1 i can borrow? i tried to follow nieltoe's direction, but when i downloaded it, i never found it anywhere. this is so lame!

I would recommend deleting any and all versions of Opera Mini off of your device. If you want to make sure that Opera Mini is s0_ after uninstalling goto your devices File Explorer into "C:\Windows\Appdb\". In here you will find files named s0_ s0__d1 etc... Delete all all related files to that specific application. Be warned if Opera Mini is not your only Java application you run the risk of deleting that application. DO NOT DELETE anything other than files starting with s0_. This is specific to the shortcut that most people use in ROM cooking and will make it valid again after you install Opera Mini 4.1
If you are using a Herald or T-Mobile wing you most likely will get the unknown device warning.
Follow the pictures on the link I provided look inside the red boxes. You are going to want a signed version. I chose the 1st of 3 "Other Versions" on my device. After you install you will be offered to allow permissions always. That is what you want if you do not want the nag screens.
When you go to download it, just choose "Older or different version" or something like that and you'll see the option for the signed one.

i give up on this. i don't even know if its worth it. i was using the v4.1 yesterday, and i don't like the new download system. it doesn't allow you to continue browsing. the old version had IE downloading the file and you were able to browse in opera. i guess i'll grab an older version or just flash a new rom that has it. thanks anyway
Any solution to this yet? I have a wing and want to use the signed version to take advantage of the new features. There has to be a work around for this. I have yet to find one though.

Update: Problem was solved by installing the latest version of jbed.

you could download wm6.5 rom sone beta 7 if you are using a diamond. i have tried it but went back to ie6 because this one has many bugs. anyways if you want to try it most 6.5 cooked rom have it.

yes i know, already tried wm6.5 beta 1. its a good rom but also got some bugs. thats why i went back to wm6.1.
but a realy liked the IE mobile 8.12.
so my question is: is it posible to download and install it on my wm6.1?

if you dont believe me download this rom by yourself, and look at the version of the IE.
you don't need to get ugly so fast, the 7 version is still a buggy beta version, what dou you want with that one...!! but is Ok you can have it.

IE already includes the flash lite player as a plug-in. However, flash lite is like Flash player 8 so if the site requires Flash player 9 or later, it wouldn't work.
Next week is the Adobe Max conference and we may hear some new development for flash on mobile phones. We'll see what is new then.

Argh. I installed the 9.7 vga/wvga from there and tried the flash installer and the zoombar fix and neither one are working. The only improvement I'm seeing is that clicking links is more reliable. Oh, and Bookmarks are only opening in Portrait mode when I'm in landscape already.
i also tried all the flash players in the forum, trying to play vedios in my facebook, but it keep saying ur need a flash or new version

I cannot download anything. The file acts as if it's going to download, but as soon as the progress bar comes up it finishes instantly and the file size is 138kb. I have tried downloading both the Sense able ROM and the Eris Radio, same outcome for both.

What browser are you using?
The site is tested and working in Linux (Chrome/Firefox) and Windows (IE8/Firefox/Chrome)
Probably an issue with a firewall or your browser settings.

"I vote sticky" means I think we should make this thread a sticky so it stays at the top of our forums for all to see, wasn't referring to you. And don't worry, no ones offended. Its just that this thread was started to post the website hosting all eris ROMS by GrdLock, not to walk people through live wallpaper patch installs.
Just start your own new thread to ask the question and people will be much more inclined to help.

I was using internet explorer (I think 8) I retried using Firefox and I think it's working now, thanks.
Download issues
OK, I am using Firefox now and nothing will download over 70 MB, it downloads until about 67-70 MB and then finishes incomplete???
Im on Windows 7 Ultimate downloading with firefox, and after 2 tries, the root rom corrupted on download both times. MD5 is not matching up.
I'm not sure what might be causing that issue for ya'll. I successfully downloaded files using 5 different browsers on my linux box and Windows virtual machine, as well as Firefox and IE on an actual Windows computer, i downloaded a rom using my phone, and went to the apartment office's business center and used one of their old ass computers with horrible internet and the rom still downloaded fine.

I am having the same issue, tried from work and thought it was the firewall, got home tried on windows and ubunutu VM, stops at 68.8M everytime???
Should of added, i am trying to D/L the sensable rom havent tried others yet
Hmm, that file downloads perfectly fine for me. I got two people in the IRC room to download the Sense-Able rom and it went perfectly fine for them as well.
I'll submit a ticket to my webhost though. If people are having download issues then they need to fix whatever's causing them. I'll post back when I hear back from them. I upgraded my hosting package just to accommodate the bandwidth to host this stuff.
So far I'm counting 3 people who have download issues? If anyone else has problems please let me know so I can tell my webhost.
