hi all
i have a parrot bt handsfree installed in the car. i used it with my nokia 6310 and volume was really good. i could unterstand everything while going 160km/h on the highway.
now i have my xda2 which i use with the parrot as well. but volume is REALLY low. i know how to adjust the vol with the slider of course it's all up. but still too quiet. it's acceptable for driving in town but that's all.
is there ANY way to make that louder? i realized that with my old mdaI volume of the built in speaker went down when doing the upgrade to ppc2003. maybe this is an issue here as well?
maybe m$ lowers the volume so there will noone to sue them because of defness
pls help
regards ize|man

Defective Phone?
I am also having an issue with low in call volume. When I turn the call volume all the way up though, distorted sound starts coming out of the speaker, especially when it comes to high frequency sounds. It almost seems that the speaker is vibrating.
Can some one confirm this, because I need to figure out whether I have a defective phone and if so, exchange it while it is still possible.
Thanks
YES, X10i is a low volume phone
My X10i volume is low compare with my others phone.
I believe this is native. Not defect.
hi,, is there a reg tweaks that i can make my volume, especially on playing music, more louder??? i prefer to use the original headset of my hd2 but i think its not loud enough even on the highest volume. don't worry my ears are always clean and doesn't have problem. thanks to all!!
Hi, I tried to search for it, but found nothing.
My Fathers DHD has an in-call volume that is so low that you just can't hear anything if you are in an environment which is even a little noisy...
I don't have the same problem on my own Desire Z..
I'm wondering if it's a DHD problem, or just a faulty front speaker in my fathers device?
thanks
Mine in-call volume is pretty low too, especially low if you compare it to my old Nokia N95.
so.... anyway to fix it? apps?
You must try X10

Good one !!! X10 is really the worst out there , had it for about two weeks. Desire HD is ok on volume, i use about 60 % of volume power and the sound is loud and clear enough.
Low in call volume
I have agree the in call volume is pretty bad for a phone of this specification. I've tried different ROMs and Radio but its just plain bad.
Really need a DSP manager style hack to make this better.
For now try repositioning the phone on your ear. I hold it so the mic is a few inches away from my mouth and that angle helps with the in call volume. Not a natural position though!
There is a very crude fix for the low volume problem (ignore the "volume is fine" bull****, the volume is crap). Use speakerphone. Seriously. But use speakerphone like an ordinary phone. Turn it on and hold the phone in the normal way for a voice call. It really is much louder. Of course others will hear the conversation - but at least you will hear it pretty clearly. Ridiculous solution, I know, but it's a ridiculous problem.

for starters no1's input on here is "bull****" just because you dont like the call volume dosent mean others find it as problematic as you..... no need to call other peoples views bull****, just because they dont agree with you.

Just tried this as a fix for my very low in call volume, it worked, but a bit crackly, I will try for a few hours and update.
Running for about 2 hours now, no probs, crackly line is bearable, at least i can hear people now.
have you tried Volume+?
The incall volume is loud in my earphones after i rooted my phone. please help me in reducing the volume level.
Are you joking??? You have to be the only person EVER to complain of the in-call volume being too high. Most users say it is too low... What did you do so the rest of us can try?
Btw, push down on the volume button on top right side of phone while on a call.
hahahaha rooting your phone by itself can't increase the call volume...
unless of course you flash a custom kernel
lol something must have gone terribly wrong in your rooting

Derp. Firstly it's a placebo. Rooting doesn't change volume level. Secondly, there's something on the right side of your phone called a VOLUME ROCKER. press DOWN on the volume rocker for the volume to go DOWN.
Have sex afterwards.
Not sure if troll...
Or just magical.
