hello, my name is david and im new this forum, but i was wondering if anyone can help me with the aim client app for the xperia, im currently with tmobile, and i was told by tmobile that any windows mobile device that they carry does have aim and it does not require data plan but only text messaging to use. the problem now is, they dont support xperia x1 and i need to get my own aim client, does anyone know how i can get the aim client app to work without getting any data plans or getting charged with it, thanks to everyone in advance

Use the IM client from the T-Mobile US MDA (Wizard) ROM.
It'll install and run just fine. Won't use T-Zones though. It uses txt.
I have used OZ. Sorry forgot to mention that one.
But Its a pretty bad IM clien, and no MSN, most of my contacts are MSN.
I currently have the t-mobile wing with the proxy plan and I wanted to know. Which is the best aim program for it. I currently have AIM 2.0 hacked verison but it disconnects me way too much. I also did the registy hack to make the GPRS always on. Can anyone help me with a better aim program?

You've been using this one?
If that one is still isn't working for you, you could always try out Agile Messenger. It's not free, but it's a favorite among many here.

i really dont' wnat them to charge as SMS.
Agile and IM+ are both pay, but they DO support wifi.

I still have the AIM 2.0 for Mobile - however, it is too large to attach here, so, if you want, PM me your email address and I will send it to you. It is the free English UK AIM for Mobile 2.0 if that is what you're looking for. It connects using your active internet connection.

You can get it off their website or check my signature for alternatives (such as Slick, Jivetalk, etc).
Yeah it is as easy as re-downloading it from AIM.com

I have been trying to get my 8525 (unlocked to t-mobile) to sign onto my aim account using OZ messenger. But every time i try to sign in, it says connection error. Does anyone know whats wrong? I think i might have to create another connection but i dont know what settings to use for it.

ok, so I installed blkbrry connect, and activated the proper data plan...I have a pin and all..but I'm not able to chat...does ANYONE know what emulator or software is available to substitute bbm (blackberry messenger) or if there's a blackberry msngr for WinMo....any help would be highly appreciated!!! thanks in advance
i've been looking for the same thing, from what i understand blackberry connect doesn't allow BBM and so far RIM haven't release a windows mobile port of BBM so for time being i think were stuck with live messanger
