Just to let you all know..
If like me, you are an old school Orange user with Line 1 and Line 2.... then The X1 i bought is perfect.
Fully supports Line 1/2. # key to swap... incoming and outgoing.
I would really like to know about the Touch Hd... as i bought two of these X1's and will probably send one back to change for a Touch HD

Hi all. I am a newby so please be gentle.
I bought a secondhand XDA2 which unfortunatly had a broken off switch. I have repaired the switch but now I have some very strange text ( looks like a 3D effect). All the text is black except for letters with a verticle line (LlKkIiN etc). On the today screen these are in red and in normal text they are blue. All is ok in italics. I have checked all the connections and they seem fine. Any thoughts?
Cheers

A few weeks ago I noticed the center of my touch screen no longer functions. To make sure, I put on Solitaire and tried dragging a card over the dead spot and sure enough, the card would skip over because it didn't sense any touch till I moved over the dead spot. It's become a problem now with fixing the alarm clock, pressing buttons on my Today screen, and pressing 3 & 6 on the dial pad.
I got the phone in February, I hope this is covered in the warranty. For the hell of it I talked to a Cingular rep and she said they can't do anything about it and I have to call the manufacturer.
The HTC site doesn't really tell how to call in for support besides dialing up Cingular. Does HTC have a tech support line or should I just call the HTC USA, inc # on their page?
If there's a chance they'll take it, I better put back the stock Cingular ROM right?
Hi,
i have a touch hd (bought on jenuary09); from yesterday touch screen doesn't work.
My touch hd is perfect, no scratch or other thins, but i don't now if is better or not to send to htc for warranty;
this is the photo
Do you think that htc can change touch in warranty?
Or is better that i buy touch scren only (it cost about 40€)?
I now that is not to easy (i read the Blackstone Service Manual)...there is another guide?
other two photo:
the screen is perfect, no bad pixel!
only one thing:
the screen where there is the halo (i don't now if this is the correct traslation, i use the dictionary.... ) there is a regular structure like this
.......
.......
.......
.......
between screen and touch!
send it in if not sell it to me!
The other day I dropped my HTC pure and the screen went out and something else fell, it's right bellow the "call key, windows key, back key, and end key".
Does anyone know where I can get these items?
A couple of years ago I had my tilt phone in my butt pocket and sat in a corner and broke the screen. I was able to replace it but forgot where I bought the screen from.
i found this site. there are two types of screens. i think one of them are for the diamond 2 and 1 of them is for the pure. i not sure though

I worked the last 3 days to find out a parameter to limit the effect of distance of 2 touch points on the screen.
You can make some test on a paint application (like TouchPaint). If you touch the bottom of the screen with one finger, touch the upper of the screen with another finger and release the first one the device understand a slide between both point and not two point independent. I think it's a driver problem (HTC or Microsoft). It will be a good idea to get a registry value of min/max distance to consider a move.
I got this problem on HD2, I want to know if others devices have got this problem or not.
And I would like to know if any body tried to create or modify the current touch driver?
