i installed nueslidingkb on my sprint touch pro with jds rom. worked at first but i didnt want keyboard selected when in portrait, i prefer full qwerty so i found the reg key you use to define it at hklm\software\wei enterprises\nueslidingkeyboard and changed portrait to the clsid for full qwerty. now if i go into the settings for sliding keyboard input sounds it shows full qwerty as the option but no longer switches. after a soft rest the default sip in portrait is full qwerty but it does not switch to nullkb on landscape. it just stays as full qwerty. any help?
I installed nuefont in my HTC touch but any font i choose as system font gives me an error and tells me to quit nuefont. Seems not to work.

I installed NueFont to increase the size of text in QuickMenu, this made text in all settings dialogs too big. I uninstalled NueFont and Calibri pack but now the menu font is tiny, how do I restore it back short of HR ?

Attached is a cab installer for HTC Plus!
This application adds a nice clock and messages interface to the today menu, as well as adding an application launcher with included high quality icons for the applications.
As found, this application was non-functional. HTCImgCodec.dll has been added (exists in some ROMs already) and registry settings have been changed to disable the Backlight Adjust function. For some reason when this function is enabled the device hangs during boot and a hard reset is required to fix. You have been warned. DO NOT ENABLE BACKLIGHT ADJUST.
Screenshots below. More stuff to come.
UPDATE: I've replaced the file with an updated version. This update changes the installation defaults in a manner that should help anyone who experienced a problem installing the previous version. No changes are made in the plug-in, so if you already have it working don't bother updating.

Customisation
This plugin is easily customisable. The layout is stored entirely as bmp images under \Windows\HTCPlus. And all the programs chosen can be modified under HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCPlus\Shortcuts.

I also originally had the problem where the plugin was not appearing in the list of plugins or on the today screen, but the HTC Plus tab was still displayed in settings. I was able to fix this problem by copying HTCImgCodec.dll into \Windows. I added it to the cab. Perhaps this file is not being copied? Check for its existence and try manually extracting it to \Windows if it doesnt show up.

I installed it on my Artemis with official HTC Asia WM6 rom and for me it works until you switch off the device. Than you can never switch it on again, only by soft reset with stylus!
So I uninstalled the prog quickly...
Otherwise it would be nice to have it on Today screen, so if someone could construct a bug-free cab from the extracted files I would really welcome it!

May be it is well known, but if you push PHONE button for more than 250 msec a menu' will appear. Releasing the button PocketCM minimize itself, moving the finger to the other button's area you can choose the options menu'
Have you successfully installed pocketCM 0.2 on your athena?
I've tried several times but I never succeed in. The installation process doesn't cause any problem but the program graphic is completely a mess. I' have tired to change the theme with a VGA-compliant one but it doesn't work well anyway. Can you explain me how have you exactely installed it? I feel kind of idiot, but i badly need a decent contact manager (and the default one, in my opinion, it is not decent at all).

I just installed PCM Contacts in my Athena. It is necessary to install in the same
directory the vga-test.zip file that can be found in the Theme section of their forum.
This version wants directly the .zip files instead of the old .ctm (?) ones.

I'm also a user of PocketCM. It just looks perfect on my Athena running with 128dpi.
It ist Important to use a vga skin (.zip file in the Versions newer than 0.15) !!
They also offer a very usable SIP (PocketCM Keyboard) that i use as a default.
Everything is freeware ans runs without any problems on my Athena.
On good thin is that PocketCM and PocketCM Keyboard can easily be set to other languages (German in my case) just by using an other skin.

i've got pocketcm0.20 and i basically use it for its threaded sms function...is there a way to map the hardware message button to go directly to pocketcm's sms function page instead of the WM sms page...or when i get a new message and click read or something to go directly to pocketcm's sms service?

Having this skin, you can choose type and quantity of active functions. You can edit the register or use Schaps Advanced Configration Tool v 3.x to do it.
This solution don't replace the existing CommManager. You can use both. Use the Advavanced Config to choose between skins:
On/Off Button - for standard Diamond skin
Large Button - for Kaiser or DiamondStyle skins.
Buttons names will be displayed in your language.
In Dimond Style skin you can use 7 to 10 buttons (from 12).
WARNING! When you use 10 buttons, place the Sound/Vibrate button in last line for better performance.
In Kaiser skin - 10 buttons (from 12).

Can this be made a tab in TF3D?
I renewed the graphic files (Look in the preview), but i´m not able, to make a cab out of these files. I don´t have the knowledge in this way. If someone want´s to make this job, i post here the changed graphics. But at 1st it would be good, to get a feedback.
To integrate it in TF3D, you can use the Softkey Changer. With this program you can replace one tab of the homescreen from Programs or else to Comm Manager.
Is it possible to make a 3G button. I use it a lot to save battery.

Having this skin , you can choose type and quantity of active functions from 7 to 10 (12 accessible). You can edit the register or use Schaps Advanced Configration Tool v 3.2 to do it. Now you don't need to change buttons pictures as in Kaiser CommManager.
BUT I haven't standard icons for buttons InternetSharing and VOIP to finish this work.

I´ve got it to run...with some tricks. But i don´t like, that this module don´t recognize, that there are masked .png-files. So all, what should be invisible, is now white. But the functions are okay. It integrates itself into the Comm Manager in the Connection-Tab. But not in the new seperate Comm Manager tab, that´s a problem.
Also there are little graphic errors, which are not in the original graphics.

Really like the concept here. Might need some work on cleaning up the images and maybe adding a little depth. Great work though.
Ive tryed it now. I cant delete it at all. When i try to delete it, and when i try to open the comm manager again, ill get a black screen, with white text from kaisers comm manager

Check the registry keys, for Diamond standard must be:
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager]
SupportedFunctions=6
DisableButtonText=3
For Kaiser:
SupportedFunctions=10
DisableButtonText=2
And soft-reset, of course...
Or use Advanced Config \CommManager: choose your 6 function and On/Off Buttons.

I found the solution to put the original commanager, all commanager have installed work very good and configurable with advenced-config

No, this solution don't replace the existing CommManager. You can use both. Use the Advavanced Config to choose between skins:

Here is the Cab - I loaded it on my Titan (QVGA) and it installed without a problem but won't run. There is a QVGA icon pack in the install directory and it creates a shortcut in the startmenu. When I click on the shortcut an Info box pops up that says (Can't Start Zoom Status Please Check Zoom Status is Enabled). I don't see any obvious way to enable it after looking in the install directory and the windows directory. Have soft reset after install, still no luck.
By the way, it doesn't show up in the remove programs directory so once you've installed it you have to manually remove...
I'm running WM 6.5 27128 so perhaps this only works on 6.1.
I installed it on an X1 running wm6.5 and got the same error message but you can get it to run if you disable the default today plugin in on wm6.5 and enable the Zoomstatus one.
guess it runs as a today plugin in on the Acer shell
I run it on custom asus WM 6.5.xxx502 ROM. I did the same as jbrummie but I couldn`t have both enabled - windows default and zoom status. Any solution ?

Yep - found the same thing. It runs and works on 6.5 but won't work at the same time Titanium is enabled....

The topaz notification system cant be shut down. So I only can see task manager.

installed the task manager on my imate 9502 and all it done was enlarge the scrollbars on standard winmo applications so as only 2 icons are displayed per line..
Works fine on my xperia with wm6.1
installed on my i910 omnia, seems to wrk. although some buttons dont do anything when i press them on the zoomstatus. havent tried the taskmgr yet.
edit: i just soft reset, the task manager is there. works fine. looking at the install folder it seems skinnable. also it doesnt seem to give me accurate info since im on verizons network. the sig strength and battery works fine though. taskmanager also looks skinnable since all the image files are in the install folder. looks fun.
Here are some pics on a Fuze. I had to turn off TF3D. Also, some of the notifications don't work, like volume just brings me back to HTC's notifications so it's a loop. The other taskbar items work but require a press and hold. i'm using the updated Fuze ROM.
Zoom status works fine with Titanium (wm6.5) if you change registry value "Exclusive" to zero for Titanium plugin.
You should enable both plugins ("Windows Default"(Titanium) and ZoomStatus) in Today items settings.

On the HTC website we can download an update for the handwriting.
But when I try to install it I get the error that this file is not compatible with my device. This is were the file can be found:

i got this cab file from ppcgeeks. i installed this...then the transcriber becomes an option when you select which keyboard you want to use. transcriber lets you use the new handwriting feature.

Installation Instructions:
Note: AP version control -> The criterion will pass if the Touch Input for Pocket versions is equal to Version 2.1 (Build 1920.2429), or lower.
To check the AP version : Press HOME then slide to Settings > All Settings > Personal > Input >
Tap the arrow to the right of the keyboard icon then tap About> Touch Input for the Pocket PC Version
Is it possible that this update is for wm6.5 rom?
My TP2 is still running on official wm6.1 rom and Touch Input for the Pocket PC version 2.0 (build no. sequence and how to check version number totally different from described) and I cannot install this update.

I found it actually to be fairly accurate for taking quick notes and stuff even with my horrible handwriting. To some extent it pushes the case for resistive screens a bit. I can't really see me using it more than for quick note taking though because one of the main reasons I bought the TP2 was for the full keyboard, and I can type a lot faster than I write. It's a tad bit redundant...

My EU TP2 WM6.1 already has the input method out of the box and I can install this update.
This update contains new reg. value:

I can't select that option on my T-Mobile stock TP2, along with the "move to" option. I read on a wiki somewhere about a problem with the TF3D/WMO interaction and the threaded text messages.

To turn off the SMS threading:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\
Create a new DWORD value with value name as SMSInboxThreadingDisabled and set it value data to 1
