Hi all, I'm using a ROM with power button remapped to PsShutXP, how can I remap it for "normal" use?
I already tried with advanced config, but with no luck

i dont think you can remap the power button
try ae button - its free
edit:
Goto HKLM\Software\ Microsoft\Shell\Keys
Add a new key named "40C6"
Add a new string value under the key called "Name" with a value of "Button 6" (or anything else you may want to call it, like “PTT”)

There is a file in \Windows called PowerOffWarning.exe rename psxpshut to this and copy into windows along with the skin

Ah - I think I mis understood you actually.
You want to have the power button do the normal action as if it was a standard ROM?
You need to get the file PowerOffWarning.exe from a standard ROM and copy it to \Windows.
I can give you the one from a WWE ROM but I think you need it from an ITA ROM

Hey there,
I'm owning a variant of HTC Nike at the moment, where HTC EndKey is preinstalled in the ROM. Right now it is assigned to lock the device. This is nice, but since this device sports a biotouch display it would be even nicer if this long press would invoke Slide2Unlock2.
The long press starts EndKey.exe. But since this is a protected file, i cannot simply replace this.
Does anybody know a way to or replace EndKey.exe (without customizing the rom and flash it) OR invoke an other executable by HTC Endkey.

I managed to overwrite the endkey.exe with resco explorer ... very nice.
Hi is there a way to uninstall Endkey?
because after Unsinstall there is a message, that it coult not be uninstalled correctly and if I want to delet it from the Uninstall-list.
But the Button at the Homescreen is still endkey and not Contacts as normal.
P.S sorry for my terrible english

What did you overwrite it with?
Did you just take another program and rename it "endkey.exe" and then copy it into \Windows ?
And if endkey.exe just takes over the right soft key, there are other ways to remap the right softkey, e.g. DotFred's SoftKeyKeyAppletEx.cpl.

Hmmm - I just installed Endkey and then went to Remove Programs and it removed fine for me (on Tilt). Did you try doing Soft Reset to see if it goes away then?

Ps: i remember that someone post something to disable input keyboard for TC, maybe in Tweak and tricks thread...sorry, haven't got enough time to search.
Yes i always get this problem when i buy a new phone.
So i know how to fix it i just need the registry key to enable the input type again.
So if anyone with the 2 recognizer inputs enabled could search the registry and give me the keys?

Can't remember where I saw it but when I disabled my keypad I changed some stuff at
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{198D503A-EFFE-4afd-BC54-EED333C80E6D}

This was wrong key it is the key for the Touch-keypad.
But i finally found a cab that will fix the block and letter recognizer for both Touch and Touch Cruise, and i should probably say its for the swedish version.
If you want to use another country edit the textfiles i have attached.
You should change the name of the dll file on line 10 and 18. I guess yours will be namned with your country code instead of the sw that stands for sweden.
Think you will find the msim??.dll in you windows folder.

Downloaded your files and renamed them to *.cab but couldn't get it to work! Any idea what I've might be doing wrong?

Yes i know whats wrong...
The problem is that its not .cab files it is registry keys.
So you should rename them to .reg and execute them.
Then you should get a question if you want to add the key to your registry.
If thats not happening thats because you need some registry editor installed on your phone.
I use resco explorer witch is good for a loot of other things to.

I went to http://www.smartmobile.se/ and got the cab file from Touch. Now the recognizer works for me - quick and painless

I installed HTC Enlarge startmenu on the Xperia because it makes the startmenu and menues bigger and easier to use with fingers. But on the start menu I got the ordinary swedish icons for program and settings - but I also get the english icons and when pressing them nothing happens. How can I remove them or is there a "swedish" version of of the cab floating around ?

edit 1 solved!
replace 0409mui enlarge start with the swedish one named 041D in windows folder, then delete the other one named 0409, restart and voila!

This is a similar problem: I installed the "htc_ezinputxt9.cab" to get HTC's T9 phone input SIP, which worked properly. But after the installation, I no longer get word suggestions when typing with the slide-out QWERTY. Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks

THE same, as U said, goto windows folder look up ezinput 0409 or whats its name, rename to 041d and then go to settings input and change language!!!
almost every thing called 0409 in win dir should be 041d for sweden versions of files, so download a rom and extract the content and copy the mui files thats named 041d...

Thanks! But the problem isn't with the actual EZInput, but when using the *keyboard*. I used to get word suggestions, and then you could press TAB+Space to select the word, but after EZInput they don't pop-up anymore...

For me it works great in portait mode but switching to landscape the "program" part of the menu is not there

I've installed the enlarge start menu but sometimes when i restart the start menu goes right back to the same size and then i have to reinstall to get the enlarged start menu again. Has anyone had this problem?

does that for me too. randomly works/doesn't work. but I use SPB Mobile Shell 3 now so I don't really have to use start menu for anything.

Hi guys,
Thanks to Pool_13 I send you the mui file in spanish. After installing the program, you have to copy this file in the windows folder and deleting the original one. Soft reset and done.
I'm searching for a german version too!
Is this remotely possible, I find that HTC finally got it right with the All People part of the People Tab.
I really have no use for the tab itself but just go their to use the all people which has the contact/favs/call history simular to iContact so what I would like to do is use GreenButton to hook All People to the Green Send Key.
I would like this "all people" to link to the left soft key on the homescreen. I know how to remap the key, by changing HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila\HomeLSKPath. But I don't know what to put there... Does anybody know the original command for the "all people"-screen???
Try creating a shortcut with
"\Windows\ManilaShortcut.exe" people
Then you can set it to a button. Works for me, hope it helps.
Or this:
"Manila://people/browserlayer/peopleAll.page"

You need to create a .lnk file shortcut in the Start menu folder and then use the buttons setting to map it to the long press green button. A .lnk is just a .txt file with the extension renamed to .lnk.
The start menu folder is:
\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
Copy this command into a text file:
44#"\Windows\Manila.exe" --switchtopage Manila://people/browserlayer/peopleAll.page
Rename the extension to .lnk and copy into the start menu folder.

This is the file
do you need to overwrite a dll in the \Windows folder with your dll?
Or where do you copy it on the device?
i copied the zxlchEXkeypad.dll to windows\, edited the lnk files to point to program exe's, and imported the registry entries. rebooted, nothing?
also, post 1 and post 2 are two seperate things, correct?
These data must in the ROM.
Otherwise go wrong.

ive not tried it yet, (still a beginner chef) but it looks like it allows .lnk files for every key (the first post one, dunno about the 2nd), like the longsend one that already works.
you will need to edit the .lnk files, they currently point to an .exe that i assume was for testing,,,,,,
just my take on it.
Something new? Why don´t the links long_send.lnk and so on not work on hd2 rom without this dll?
