Orbit 2 with CoPilot 7 upgrading to 6.1 - Touch Cruise ROM Development

Hello!
I'm trying to upgrade my orbit 2 from wm6 to 6.1 using the official patch on the 02 website. When I enter in my serial number I get the download link with some instructions.
One such instruction is...
"Please note that if you already have CoPilot satellite navigation software on your Xda, read this installation manual (links to PDF) before upgrading to Windows Mobile 6.1"
The PDF talks about upgrading from wm5 to wm6 with co pilot 6 installed. Now im upgrading from 6 to 6.1 with copilot 7 installed
Do I still need to follow the guide? or can I just install the upgrade without touching the copilot 7?
I dont want to lose the use of the co pilot software by not deactivating it prior to the upgrade.
I tried calling o2 but they were useless.
Cheers

Orbit 2 and Copilot 7
Just do the upgrade to Win Mob 6.1 and then start Copilot and then enter your email address that you registered and the software will do the rest for you.
You must have your Orbit 2 connected to the internet though.

Another TomTom Navigator 5 Question

I want to install the version 5.0 on a MDA compact 2 (Charmer) which I´ve already had on my MDA2. Starting application setup following message appears: "TomTom Setup Aplication has determined a problem and must be terminated"
Thank you for your help!
If it's a WM5 device, read the TomTom support site and follow instructions to update to 5.21.
If it's WM2003, you could also try the update. The info you provide is really too little to expect any constructive help.
O.K, here are some further infos:
- MDA Comact 2=HTC Charmer with WM5
- OS: WINXP SP2, ActiveSync 4.1
