upgrade software wince 2002 to 2003

hello all my friends...!!!
i need your help...plz !
i used xda I , but my software was upgrade with 2003 version (xda II) .
the trouble is..my xda not support for alot aplication, for example yahoo messenger, msn messenger or act..
my question is , how to upgrade 2002 version to 2003 version ?...because my software not support alot aplication.

hhhmmm not sure what you are saying
do you mean
1 you mean that you upgraded your xda with a Rom from xda2 ?
2 you mean that you upgraded your xda with a xda rom which is 2003
xda1 with pc2003 dont make it a xda2 just in case you believed so
the xda2 have different hardware altogether
many applications from 2002 dont work with 2003 in those cases you need to buy them again unless the people who makes them will let you use your serial nr for an updated version of their software

sort of a similar problem here - upgraded to WM'03 via Yorch's kitchen but messenger is not working (logon to MSN messenger service failed because the service is not compatible with this version of the program) so I downloaded the latest update from MSN
BUT
I assume that since the messenger is cooked into the ROM updating is not that simple - it did not work
I have not been able to upgrade correctly so far - any sollutions

suppose you could try some of those programs which let you connect to icq, msn, yahoo msg, and ..... and install it in ram and connect from that
it should not be messed up by a old msn in rom
otherwise you need to get down and dirty and open the rom and pick out files you dont want in it

Blackberry Connect on Magician

Hi,
Can anyone advise on how to get Blackberry Connect onto my IMate Jam?
It is still running the ROM Pak that came with it and is on Vodafone?

Windows Mobile 2003 Push mail
Unfortunately i'm not really into blackberry, but i know that windows mobile 2003 devices (such as your JAM) are not compatible with pushmail technology. Microsoft released the MSFP for Windows Mobile 5 devices...

I believe the latest t-mobile uk rom has blackberry connect as part of it. did you check with vodafone to see if they have a bb rom for the vpa-compact?

YES Im Using T-Mobile's Latest MDA Compact ROM (Version 1.13) can be downloaded at their website, or go here if you lazy to search 8)

Inside the ROM has already provided Blackberry support. I havent tried them, though. 8)
Anybody success with it, pls share your experience.

i can't install this ROM to my XDA mini.
the installation process said that country ID error.
anyone can help me to prevent this country ID error ? maybe i should unlock it first but i dont know how...
or maybe anyone have the nk.nbf, ms.nbf and radio.nbf files in another words "the extracted ROM"

Windows Lives

I tried the Window Lives for the first time in my wm6 rom and cant connect it via wifi why is that??, its open contact with gprs..?? I use search but didnt find realy sollution for that problem.
Im using Big Black rom and i have tried Dopod Wm6 original rom too and the same problem is there, so the rom is Ok. Is this problem in WM6 or how can i connect messenger/live with wifi?? in Wm5 messenger worked pefect

It should be on the FTP... Be careful though - i damaged my magician with that rom, though i was flashing off of Vista and that was over a year ago... Also, apparently, 1.12 is only for SOME magicians, cant remember which, but don't quote me on that
why not go for 1.13?

hi friends,
i hve got an imate jam. i was trying to upgrade my ppc rom and download the latest one rom update from the clubimate.com. i have windows vista and when i was updating it so in the middle it gave me that a connection error. although the mobile was correctly connected to the pc via usb. when i saw the screen of my mobile so there was USB written and nothing else. so now when ever i restart my ppc by removing its back so it resets and i cant do any thing to bring it to its original position.
i dont want any upgrade but i want my ppc back. as normal.
can any one pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee help me

just do it again that iamte jam rom update to 1.12..............got to imate.com and download jam_update1.12

Not to worry. I have not personally tested with Windows Vista so, if you can use Windows XP, it would be great.
There is a special button sequence to bring the I-Mate to a Factory install mode. Then you will be able to flash the ROM again.
I can't find the sequence at the moment, but drop me an e-mail and I will surely come back to you.

Please Somebody Help Me.

I have just bought O2 xda II - the windows which is currently installed is WM6, so now because i`m not quite happy with it, i want to remove it , i mean uninstall or whatever you guys say, flash back or anyway, want to get to default windows which is windows Mobile 2003.
this is only because some functions are disable through this windows mobile 6.that's all.

depending what is missing just flash it with another WM6 ROM, there are several to choose from.
