I got issue with parlingo. Doesn't want to connect or keep connection by itself. When i make a connection by sending/receiving emails or opening any address by opera parlingo connects without any problems but as soon as i close other application connection terminates and Parlingo can't connect by itself again .... any ideas?

Hi,
I hope I'm not repeating a question that's been asked a load of times already - but I've been searching for the solution, and can't find it...
When I use bluetooth to connect to activesync, the internet connection via the PC works fine for simple things such as email and telnet, but when I use pocket IE to access many web pages, I get an error message saying that it can't open the page. These are pages that it has no problem with when using gprs connection.
Any idea what's going on?
Cheers,
Phil
Have you enabled pass-through on activesync? Also change your settings in network connections/Advanced/select networks and change what the programs connect through. select your work network then when you sync it will open IE through your pc connection
Hello,
I'm using my TyTn on our wifi network, for which it requires a VPN connection as well. Everything works BUT... only the applications "Internet Explorer" and "Messaging" will cause the VPN connection to be made. The other applications don't. If the VPN connection is inactive for 30s, it closes down.
I can use other applications over this connection (Skype, MSN, Opera, ...) when I first launch PIE or Messaging. But oddly enough, the VPN connection is closed after 30s, even if there is an application using it. The solution would be to keep PIE or Messaging active.
I found commercial applications to keep a gprs connection alive, but would they work for the VPN connection (I don't know if pinging a server will keep the VPN alive)?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Jörg
I don't know although I am currently looking into this matter, to keep vpn from shutting down ! Vpn by anchor Inc has not open to prevent standby and causes a network error when it stops working, it's been a few years or so since you posted this thread and no one has replied except me so I suggest that this is a task to difficult for anyone on xda to solve. :crying:
Hi everybody,
does anybody knows why Blackberry connect automatically disconnect another connection, Internet e.g.
On example, I want to check my pop3 mail, I disconnect blackberry connection,
and connect via INTERNET. During checking mail, automatically Internet disconnect, and Blackberry connect is connecting.
How to solve this??
thx,
You have to "suspend" the connection. BBC will auto re-connect its GPRS connection if you just disconnect it. You can suspend from Start-Settings-System-Blackberry Instant Email applet
thx, it works

Clearly you have the "how" question answered. If you were interested in the "why", it is because Internet access and Blackberry both uses GPRS but on different APNs. In order to access the different APN, the GPRS connection has to drop and reconnect.
Hi,
I have a GPRS connection setup for with t-mobile using a proxy.
If I'm not connected it works great- I press send/recieve for my e-mail it connects and gets my messages just fine.
If I do it again 5 minites later also fine.
The problem is after a long time the connection is still active, but when I go to do a Send/Recieve-
I get an "unable to connect to the incoming mail server" message. All my other intenet apps also will not work. If I turn on flight mode and then turn it off (to disconnect from my GPRS connection) and then try the internet again- it will work fine.
I think what triggers this is going into an area with no service. The GPRS connection stays active- and when I try to use it (even when I'm back in an area with service) it won't work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Daniel
My phone is TYTN II. I have configured vpn connection and exceptions, where if I type internal address in browser (192.168.0.*/*) then I see my phone is connecting to isp and then to vpn gateway.
With Internet Explorer it is working fine, Im happy with that, its a bit different when Im using Opera, I have to refresh few times the address till phone establish connection to vpn.
But it is not working with putty. Sometimes I have to urgently login to shell in my internal network and it is not possible. Im opening inetrnal address with, lets say, IE, then I fast opening putty and if Im lucky I can establish connection with shell, but then it loosing vpn connection after short time and Im loosing connection with shell.
My question is - how to force phone to establish connection to vpn and keep it alive? Is it a question of registery or maybe some software?
Thank you
Regards
You're lucky. I can't even get a VPN connection to stay active. I noticed you said you created exceptions. How do you do that?
Basically, I just need it to work with Remote Desktop.
