Whats up with slick

Ok im using slick as my instant messenger, but every so often after I update it, it goes crazy and stops working, im getting an error messege saying Auth failed Socket error host not found. Error number 11001. I dont know wat to do with it, and has anybody come across a cab for the aim from the htc diamond?

I can third that. I to get the error. . But since I use yahoo mostly... I just have it go to mobile. SMS is threaded.... so I tend not to lose track of the conversation as easy.

It sort of works for me but it won't send to Trillian and a couple of other IM clients. I switched to Palringo. It seems to work and allows me to login to multiple AIM names plus all the others and it is free.

Slick is working now.

PLEASE HELP - SMS Problem On HTC HD

I haven't found any similar problem anywhere in this forum or other forums.
Quite a lot of my SMS messages, when sent, bring up the error along the lines of 'SMS FAILED TO SEND', when I know that it did send successfully as most of the time the person replies back as soon as they receive it, which is before that error comes up.
The main problem is the result of that error. The message that was initially sent resends itself more than once, and the maximum times I have been told that it has been received by the person i sent it to is 8, which is just crazy.
I would like to know if anyone can think of a solution to this. I have tried looking for a way to make the HTC just ignore messages if it thinks it has not been successfully sent, but I have not come across anyway of achieving that.
The ROM I am running (as stated under software information) is: Miri WM 6.5 | V12.0 WWE

Cant send images

I cant send images to any number any more, this happend after being on Master Rom 1.1.4. Since then I have been on the Axura 2.0.1 rom, and now im on the one in the image below. And I have been un-able to send mms on any rom. Picture of the error I sometimes get below, other times It will just sit there "sending" the picture but it never sends and eventually just fails.

Even when I am not on edge it will not send, instead of the error message it just says "sending" for a long time and eventually fails to send saying "Error In server response".

Ok, well unfortunately it is still not working.
I have my APN at the factory settings. (I have tried every tmobile android apn i could find, none of them work)
I have data enabled (I have tried it both ways though)
I have tried it with wifi on and off.
I have tried reflashing my rom.
I have tried changing roms.
I am on the new version of Axura now, 2.0.5. still doesn't work.
I have tried sending while edge was disabled & enabled.
I just dont get why its not working, is there something I am just completely missing or what? I really need to get this working

when I had this problem I manually entered the recipients phone number and then the mms went through. after that it seemed to work ok.

I've been having this issue on and off.
It send fine to another operator, but t-mobile. And after a few tries it might send it to another tmo customer.

I just started getting the error recently. I've also had troubles emailing pictures.

You have to enter the recipients phone number in manually. It has something to do with the 2.2 roms. No matter what 2.2 rom I try I get the same error message and only way I have found to fix it is to do what I just said. Or you can switch back to a 2.1 rom and it will work just fine

I don't have the issue when using the CM Mms.apk. The 2.2 mms app is buggy as hell.

Ah wow that works, alright well I am glad that at least now I know whats causing the problems.

Problem to download the MMS Picture

Hey
First off all, i use this NAND Rom for my HTC HD2 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
I have a big problem. So i got yesterday a important MMS, but i'm unable to open the picture or to download them.. I got the Message and if i press the "download" Button there comes only an error or a sentence who said that the picture is loading.. but it isn't loading. I think the problem comes not from my provider.

Is there a possibility to get this Picture on an other way, perhabe with back ups or an app?!

You could try downloading Handscent from the Play store for free and using it as the default messaging handler. Before it I ran into tons of problems with MMS.

Picture message problem

Hey everyone
I was wondering is anyone else having this problem I am. I have tried multiple ROMs and still this has remained constant. I have had multipul people send me picture messages and most of the time my phone tells me i get some sort of message but when I click the notification there is nothing there and it takes me to the new message field. Idk if its something I doing or what but please need help.

I get this too. Mostly if someone uses an email to send an MMS to my phone number. But sometimes it's regular cell phones

My Nexus doesn't care for some things sent from iphones, for instance, contact cards ad slide shows. I just assumed it was an incompatibility between formats.

I seem to be having the same problem it shows me a notification for the message but when clicked on it sends me to the compose no message or the original msg thread.

For me what seems to be the issue is I turn off data or have wifi on and the message wont come through
