PLEASE HELP - SMS Problem On HTC HD - Touch HD General

I haven't found any similar problem anywhere in this forum or other forums.
Quite a lot of my SMS messages, when sent, bring up the error along the lines of 'SMS FAILED TO SEND', when I know that it did send successfully as most of the time the person replies back as soon as they receive it, which is before that error comes up.
The main problem is the result of that error. The message that was initially sent resends itself more than once, and the maximum times I have been told that it has been received by the person i sent it to is 8, which is just crazy.
I would like to know if anyone can think of a solution to this. I have tried looking for a way to make the HTC just ignore messages if it thinks it has not been successfully sent, but I have not come across anyway of achieving that.
The ROM I am running (as stated under software information) is: Miri WM 6.5 | V12.0 WWE
Thanks in advance. I appreciate any help given.

sms read messages problem

morning guys. i have an issue with my sms. back then when i recieve more than one text message, lets say 4, i was able to open the thread, reply, and all the messages will be shown as read and the new message alert would disapear. also when the thread is open, and i recieve a message and exit it, it would show as read.
however, recently, when i recieve more than 1 message, i need to open up the message that many times. for example, if i recieve 5 messages, i would need to go into that message thread 5 times in order to clear all the read messages. also, if i leave the thread open and i recieve a message for that person, exiting doesnt clear it beign read anymore. does anyone have this issue or know of a fix? thank in advance
I'd soft reset and see if that fixes it. I've never had that problem so I don't know a solution. I'll look through the message settings and see if something could've gotten tweaked that is causing it.
i have soft reseted many times, and still it remains the same. this is really annoying me. i havent changed any sms settings either. im not sure if its rom related ( touch 4.5), but i asked people in that thread, and no one there knows either.
i jsut flashed 2 other roms, touch it 4.5 and jacks rodium 3.0 and they are both like that with the messaging problems. can anyone here confirm if they have this problem or not? or if its something known for the new rhodium/topaz packaging.

SMS Timestamp Problem

Hi all,
Im having a problem. Whenever i recieve a text message and the screen is locked the text displays as always 11 minutes before the current time. For example lets say i send a text at 7:05. The person replies a minute later and it says 6:55. The thread then becomes all messed up. Have had this issue since the original rom and have done many wipes since. Currently i am running the 2.2e MoDaCo Rom and was wondering if there is a fix for this issue because it is starting to become very annoying scouting for replies in the threaded sms. Please someone help

Message Thread Way Out Of Order

Hi all,
Before upgrading the ROM to the official HTC WM 6.5, I backed up all of my text messages using PPM Backup. When I finally restored them afterwards, I found that the message threads have been put together by WM completely out of order.
Essentially all messages sent by me are listed as "most recent", with the messages sent by the other person are "less recent".
This wouldn't be a big deal if my message threads were 4-5 messages long, but when they're more like 300 messages (say, between me and a girlfriend), I would have to flick through page after page of my old messages just so I get to one of her most recent messages.
Is there any fix for this? Any program that can restore them better? Anything at all?
Thanks,
WM (no relation)
hi guys,
kindly assist in this as im having the same issue

Received text message order

Hi my problem is received TEXT messages on my HTC HD2, when I receive a message it always opens viewing the last message I looked at NOT the one that just arrived how can I change this?
I have upgraded my software twice and tried many settings but nothing works!
I've searched many threads but have not found an answer to this. Does anyone know?
I've found a thread on changing to a different skin, but I don't know if that would solve the problem either.

Any help would be appreciated.

sms problem (a strange one at that...)

Hi guys,
I have an SMS related problem that I am hoping you can help me sort out.
Just recently I have stopped receiving sms messages from one contact (my Wife). I get a message tone and the sms logo come up on top bar to indicate that I have a message but it does not appear in the message box. This started happening just a couple of days ago. It doesn't happen with anyone else (no laughing). No jokes please. Would really like to sort this one
I have an HD2; OS 5.2.23569; Manilla 2.5.201; ROM Duttys Holy Grail; Radio 2.12.50
I cooked the rom weeks ago so i cannot believe that is a problem.
Any help very much appreciated
Hi,
try to delete your wifes contact from sim card and create new one.
that worked...cheers.
However, another problem has now arisen: when I send a sms to someone (person A) it gets sent to someone completely different (person B,C,D,E etc). But the sms shows in the correct person's message conversation!!!!!!!!!
Example: last night I sent a sms to person A. Person D replied saying 'what the hell is that all about?' but the message appeared in person A's conversation!
Maybe I need a new rom
