Interesting new UI for Winmobile 6

Just came across this in one of my RSS feeds - an interesting 'new' UI for WM6, being released for free tomorrow according to their website.

Quite interesting Homescreen for a Windows Mobile phone. Wonder if it runs on Adobe Flash Lite? May try it out.

I saw this a few days ago and nearly wet myself.
I hope it's highly customizable as it looks like it has a lot of potential.

If you change the timezone on your computer to +13 Nukualufa something and go to the countdown site it shows 1H 38MIn

This is "just" a frontend/launcher, so everything will work as usual.
I wonder if there will be something like "S2U" or something else... i LOVE this feature.

Waiting till the end of the clock.

well, clock reached zero, but only the text "pointui.com" appeared. When visited the site, nothing happened, so, i'm guessing the clock has to reach zero in whichever time zone 'they' are....
Will just have to keep waiting until that happens, i.e. keep checking the website

Would like a black skin, but these guys have done an awesome job. Interface is realy smooth and simple to use.
Good to see the Aussie blokes making it a New Years day present for us.

Hi,
On my sons Iphone, he gets stock quotes with a push on an icon...
Can this be done with a Diamond?

I'm not sure yet. I just started playing around with it a few days ago in my spare time. I'll probably post a beta within a couple weeks, or maybe tomorrow, who knows.

WOW...this may save me another grand (by not getting the HD) if you can get that running. I like the appearance and format, as well as the research options.

Right now, just using http://wireless.etrade.com. Not as fast, and interested in getting it into a tab in TF3D (see there is manila files from the HD already on this site, so may get my wish). I like the format of this one much better, so may run both (depending on final product, and visibility of all the markets).

I changed the colors from the original design, and posted a working proof of concept, which will soon be the full blown thing. Screenshot below.

I'm all good with competition. I was really just doing it for myself, but I saw a few threads like this one and thought others might enjoy it too. If you like it, help me make it better. If you like something else, that's cool too, post a link for others.

This matches my theme much better, so you are my favorite person today as well. I will run both yours, and the TF3D tab from the HD. I like your format much better. The HD tab will give me quick glance, but your tab will help me make decisions wirelessly before I buy/sell on my E*Trade account.

So I am very pleased with the great work there has been done..
Alas, I can not install it because my diamond refuses to install Net CF 3.5.
I get an errormessage about freeing space (lots of space left) and about a "errormessage" 2
Can somebody please help?

I agree the Equity Expert is very nice VGA stock quotes applications and its also ready to work with the Touch HD, Omnia and Xperia devices !

Does anybody understand this appliacation as I seem to miss the point of the 5 day chart.
ABBN.VX 5 day Chart shows 11/4 - 11/8
UBS 5 day Chart shows 11/6 - 11/10
CSCO 5 day Chart shows 11/14 - 11/18
EURCHF=X 5 day Chart shows 11/24 - 11/28
and yes my update was 2 mins ago

If there is any logic to how the charts update, I haven't found it. Selecting some of the longer durations and then reselecting the one you are interested in sometimes causes an update, but sometimes not. All seems quite buggy.

Type the code "USDEUR=X" in the search box and search.

Does anyone know if it's possible to set the 1 month view for USDEUR=X as the default view?
The default view currently shows 1 day, which is useless..and I have to "click" twice to see the 1 month view

I even don´t have a Touch HD, but since the first time I thought about buying it, I asked myself if currency was possible in stocks tab.

Thanks. Ist this the "Brent Crude" or "WTI" ?

that would be WTI and CLF9 in bloomberg is the JAN contract so you would keep having to update it each month to the latest contract.
The WTI is the one most quoted in the world on finance poped below 50 again today.
Brent is just for the north sea guys slightly higher grade oil if my memory is correct. But WTI is the one you want to quote unless your spread betting the brent.

HTC HD2 - A Love story.

So, I've allways been a half way geek. Never to patient with learning to much of anything - and most of the time pretent to know more than i do.
Maybe more a Gadget Fan than a geek.. d;
So about 8 days ago i resived my HTC HD2, long awaited. And since i never had any other experience other than regular cells or Symbian OS, I figured it would a challenge using WM...
Cause I promised myself never to turn to apple.. NEVER!
SO about me thinkin it was going to be hard - God was I right. But never than less I had my play around with it, and looking at it now, im learning to love it more as the days go by..
Soo..
Thing's I like (+):
Huge screen (Bright and Beautyfull)
Sleek Design and great build quality. (Exept for the cam sticking out like that)
The posibiliy's for play with almost anything, and customize it as you like.
Thing's I'm not to crazy about (-):
Lags and failurs happent few times (daily)
The matter of time I have to use to find new apps. (I Blame MS)
And me beeing a noob still cant figur it all out yet.
To round up all this I just want to say that this is goin to be a phone Im going to hold on to, and love to start exploring to posibilitys in WM.
Im allready making some icons since I'm a great PS nerd. Going to share them at some point.
A few unsolved issues (I looked around to answer with no luck) to mention.
1. In the reviews the slidebar include Twitter AND facebook. But i can only add or remove Twitter for some reason. How do you add other programs to the slide bar?
2. How do I take a screenshot on the phone? (would love to share my scrren of the day )

Glad that you're happy, in general. I don't think that you can add Facebook to the "Slider" AKA Home Screen Tabs (although I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Registry hack somewhere on this site. I'm guessing that you know you can add it to your Quick Links?
I'm sure I read somewhere on here about a tool to do screenshots too. Seach and discover (hopefully).

APP---11 June 2010 - Magic Poker - A must have app!

This is a post for my friend Jonathan, he has made an awesome app that will scramble your friends brains. It's free and on the market place. He doesn't tell u how to do the trick, but with a little practice and a guess he will email u the directions. See his email below.
Hey guys, this is my first android app. It's called magic poker flip, which is a poker magic property app. You can use it to flip out others selected card by touching the screen. Show it on a party will be cool. You may watch my video here.
Now the android version is on android market as a free app. It's now v2.0, and tested well on 2.1 & 2.2. Not sure about 1.6 & 2.0, but seems can't work on 1.5. The secret of the trick is hidden inside the app, maybe you can guess by yourself how the trick works or try to find the solution somewhere in the app.

It's two month after my app was published, and tomorrow will be my 21st birthday, so I think it's time to reveal the secret to all you guys, no matter you've solved it or still stuck in it or planning to download it.
The solution of the trick is hidden in 'tutorial', you can enter and reverse your phone to check it if you can't figure it out.
Here I want to thank all the guys who sent my email or PM, your encouragements are my motivation to go further.
For the WM users, really sorry for the delay of your version. I promise it will be OK at early September, at which time I may finish my school project.

yes, you can play it with your friend after you get the right solution to the app, like i did in the video.

2nd EDIT: I figured out 99% already. Just left that 1%
By the way, this app is really awesome. Smart technique.
Final EDIT: I've solved it! This magic app is by far the most innovative and well thought off that I have seen. (unlike some iphone magic apps that I've tried)

Why is it he uses the computer to pick a card? I don't really get it.
I've tried pointing so the camera can see the card and I've tried saying what the card is, the app just gives a random card :?

When he finishes his exams, he is going to work on a WM version, but has quite a bit of coding to do. Wish him luck on his exams and I'm sure we'll see Magic Poker and others like it this summer.
