ipl/spl not shown in the bootup screen

dear friends,
i have just bought the htc p4350 and noticed that when i boot the the device it does not display anything i.e the ipl, spl , gsm etc
my question how should i flash the device with the cooked roms available here without bricking the device

Are you looking for this info when you turn the device on (looking at the splash screens) or when you put the device in bootloader (tri-color) mode? As far as I know, the splash screens won't show any info, but if you put the device in bootloader mode (hold down camera button and soft-reset with reset hole) the IPL and SPL should show up. Not sure where else on the phone to get this information other than running the RUU.
And it's definitely a good idea to check those numbers out before HardSPLing.

thanks so much i have the ipl and spl which shows 4.24
now i will get back to reading how to flash it
i had the imate kjam and whenever you soft reset the phone it would dispaly the ipl,spl etc on the splash screen hence i presumed that this also should apply for the 4350

I can understand your confusion, for sure. I had another phone that showed that info on the splash screen as well.

Herald Doesn't start after a bad flash

Hi everybody,
I went to a store this evening in order to unlock my Polaris. The owner of the store has got a HTC herald with a problem that he wanted me to solve.
He tried to install another rom on his herald but, due to an unsuccessfull rom upgrading, the HTC is locked on a RGB screen (red green blue) with the only following indications:
RUU
IPL 1.08.0001
SPL 1.08.0001
USB (or nothing when not plugged)
Would you mind helping me? I tried several Roms, and there was only one that seemed to work (ROM HERALD_ smiley sWWE.gif _6.1.405.13_BUILD 20764.1.4.3): It gave me a progress bar on the HTC frozen at 0% while the upgrading tool on the pc told me that I needed a more recent upgrading tool.
What can I do?

Before installing cooked ROMs I believe the phone must be HardSPL'ed, and this can only be done if the SPL/IPL is 4 or above - any lower/not HardSPL'ed and the device will be bricked. The screen you are describing is the bootloader, and since you only have an IPL/SPL of 1.x I'm pretty sure you can't install custom ROMs. To unbrick the device, turn it onto the bootloader and then load the original HTC ROM that came with the device.

I tried several times to enter in bootloader, but it's impossible as it starts with the bootloader menu! I can't change anything about that, even by soft resets, reset+camera, reset+buttons...

As I am stucked with 1.08.0001 SPL, There is nothing to do. All the users who tried to unbrick their phone didn't got it working, except one who changed the motherboard for... 200$ ! The price of a used HTC Herald in very good conditions!

sorry to say sir but your ipl and spl should have been 4.0 or higher and also HardSPL'ed. i'm pretty sure your device is bricked. GL on finding a way to fix it or buying a new one. =D

Nounou7701, though you cannot flash a cooked ROM with IPL/SPL 1.x you can definitely flash the official ROM from HTC.

He didn't head the warning of the SPL requirements. You can easily revive it using the GoldCard method. (Search for the term "goldcard herald".)

HTC P4350 do not switch on after a bad SPL
I've tried to flash my Hera 100 P4350 with HardSPL Herald, but I got an error message it has switched off and I can't get my mobile switched on again.
It looks like completly dead (kaput).
Can anyone help me ? Or explain why that happened ?

After a total reset (left soft touch + right soft touch + reset) I got the
IPL 1.08.0001
SPL 1.08.0001 screen but with no USB on the lower left corner of the screen
After arrived here what shoul I do to reinstall my P4350 ?
What do I need to have ?

I tried to CID unlock my T-Mobile MDA Touch with *ELF_USPL-v1*
At first everything went right. Simunlock was no problem.
anamnesis:
Starts with T-Mobile logo but shuts down after some seconds
Bootloader works fine:
- IPL 2.26.0002
- SPL 1.11.0000
nothing else
I allready tried to flash other Roms like
*RUU_Elf_HTC_Asia_HK_WWE_1[1].15.721.3B_4.1.13.46_02.97.90_BLUE_Ship*
but nothing seems to work. Is there someone who can Help me?

Did u HSPL the device???

I used this Tutorial forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320155 after I simunlocked the device. So I think I didnt HSPL ed it. Sounded pretty easy as i read the tut, but right now I start to think maybe I should have read some more information about flashing -.-.
Still would be supernovaphantastic if somebody could help me or could explain how to flash this device working with the Bootloader only... because nothing else works.
Hardreset doesnt work too... frustrating

[Q] Please Help! HTC Touch elf wont turn on.

I updated the original ROM to wm 6.1, cause the old one was Spanish. After this it worked for 30 minutes, but then it made re-start every 5 minutes. Turned it off, but cannot turn it on again. The first screen with Vodafone comes up, then it shuts down again. I can enter bootloader tricolor mode, but there is no RUU on the right corner, just two version numbers on the left side. Please help! Tried soft and hard reset, didnt work.

don't worry just unlock and update spl , ipl
and then flash with any good rom ( not official rom )
i would suggest u to flash with onyx_6_release13 .

I have got a bricked HTC ELF with a tri-colour screen.(red, green and blue). I did try matty.exe and found that cid is locked. g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = FF
I dont have the original firmaware backed up. and could not find anywhere on this site and internet.

[Q] Urgent problem

Hi,
I've got a real urgent problem to solve. With one HTC X7500, i installed SPL 1.2...but as a stupid boy, i also installed ATHENA ROM AV.1.20.1. for SPL 3.5!! So now, the mobile doesn't start and stay on a very strange screen...but never run under WM...
I try all (using mmty...usb not recognized)...I try to flash with Athena updater... problem of connexion...NOthing is working.
The only thing i can do is to make a reset and go in the manual bootloader...but after, nothing is possible!!!
Please, help me, i need this material for my job!!!!

If you can get into bootloader (the 3 colour screen) post what is written there
if it is definitely spl 1.2 you should be able to load an SPL 1.2 rom from this screen.
