Sound volume - Touch Cruise ROM Development
I have low volume even with highest settings through my wired headsetts, I tried it with mp3, fm radio, movies, no matter what rom and what radio version. Do you experience low volume too, or it is just my pda has some hw problems? The volume is almost acceptable indoors, but there is no chance to listen to music walking on the streets, I cannot hear anything becouse of the sourranding background (street) noise. I tried with some different headsets too. I could say it has a third of the power of my SE K800 through headsetts. Is it normal?
Try this...

The "409" key (instead of "4000") corresponds to the column named "codecRxGain"...
Looks like this could be the origin of the low volume during mp3 playing.
Now, looking in the registry there is a key pointing to the incriminated file:
\HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev
where the key AcousticFile points to \Windows\AudioPara4-HTC-France_V1.csv
If I change it to a modified AudioPara4-HTC-France_V2.csv I've put in \Windows (with the restored "4000" value), after a soft reset...
BINGO!
Enjoy the music (w/o changing your french rom)

Thanx, I will give it a try, should it work with WWE too?
change radio to 1.64.06.04
it has a good sound .
use search to find it.
I tried the "audiopara4" editing tweak, but it was already edited , right now I am using M-Amine 2.0 RC3 WWE.
Searching for radio 1.64... some link woluld be apreciated.
[SOLVE] problem sound FM RADIO with ROM SFR WM 6.1
With the ROM SFR WM6.1, registry key use this file : AudioPara4-Voda-France_V1.csv
When i put the file AudioPara4-HTC-France_V2.csv and modified the registry, the sound of FM RADIO is off (no sound )
(with SFR WM6.0, this modification is OK)
[SOLVE]
i copy the file ROM : AudioPara4-Voda-France_V1.csv, find line F25, row codeRxGain and changed value "650" to "4000". I rename with an other name nad modify the regitry key, reboot. The sound is high and the sound FM Radio is OK.
this work fine with the official HTC Rom for WM6.1 , just the filename of "AudioPara4-HTC-France_V1.csv" is just "AudioPara4.csv"

Answering Phone Calls
I've been reading various posts since buying my Orange M5000, but havn't seen much said about the one major problem I have. About 50% of the time, if I attempt to answer a phone call it will cut the person off and divert the call straight to voicemail. I'm running ROM version 1.30.90 WWE, Radio 1.03.00, ExtROM 1.30.174 WWE. Has anyone had this problem and resolved it ?
A radio ROM upgrade to 1.09 may help & it's relatively easy to do - Just search the forum Can't say I've ever encountered your particular problem though...
Installng Radio Rom 1.09 I have the same problem - nearly half of incoming phone calls are lost. I found the upgrade at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Uni_Radio_1.09.00 . I downloaded the file to the Jasjar and tried to run it, but it didn't work. How do I install this strange .rar-file?
Having just tried it, I can help ! Firstly you need to download a program called winrar, should be able to find it through google. It's basically like winzip and will extract the files from the .rar archive. But, the 1.09 download I found didn't have all the files. You need to download the 1.06 version from the ftp site, extract the rar file and then replace the 1.06 radio_.nbf file with the 1.09 radio_.nbf file you have downloaded. On you PC (with your Universal connected via USB), run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to do the upgrade. In saying that though, I've only been able to install the 1.06 so far, 1.09 won't install.
I've had problems with answering calls on my M5000, even after upgrading the radio ROM. A couple of things that I find makes a big difference are the amount of free memory available and also changing the ring tone. If you have some memory hungry apps chewing up the program memory it is difficult to answer the calls because the phone software is slow to load. I have played with a variety of programs and find it best to keep a minimum of around 12-15Mb of program memory free. Also the default orange ring tone seems to leave a delay before it starts ringing - I have changed this so that it vibrates and rings from the outset and also have been into the phone settings and changed the network services settings to divert to answering machine after 30sec, the default is 20secs. Hope that helps.
dbgtostorage*.* ???
At me sometimes the device starts to stammer at playing music and in a root directory there are files dbgtostorage*.* which constantly grow. At me one such problem? In an Internet has found only it: It is necessary to create directories radically: DbgToStorageLog0.txt DbgToStorageLog1.txt DbgToStorageLog2.txt DbgToStorageLog3.txt DbgToStorageLog4.txt And that for debugging and what for she in a working device with an official insertion I and have not understood it. Tried in the register of a branch to correct or demolish dll a debugger, my animal there and then was ill, began to brake terribly at each operation. I.e. it not an output. And has created directories, files сertainly have ceased to be created, but also the device has come to life, even began subjectively faster, and that the most important has ceased to stammer. In general it certainly not the order with this debugger what feature of it activated also the most important who?
Which ROM version do you have? These files usually mean a debug (test) version of ROM.
ROM 1.8.411.3 Rus official.
It appears that the xpanel logger was turned on somehow. Try doing a hard-reset or find an R2 (5.4.xxxx) ROM for your Herald - it is out already.
It is a hardware mistake! Did all that is possible and 5.4 too has not helped. Has exchanged the device in shop, in new all is normal!
Hardware itself does not create files, this is an OS feature.
It disagree. I put different ROM, have not helped. I think memory beaten, therefore and works a debugger.
Rather, radio works in some kind of engineering mode, and system just logs the info. There's a similar problem with P3300. I suppose this has something to do with production quality.
Did both (vvv121,ASerg) of you have solution for this kind of problem i have same problem in my xda orbit now and i haven't found any solution even googled it please tell me what to do?
In Registry explorer (SKTools) search for key: DebugLog (HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\DebugLog\), rename Htc_Lib.dll (delete simbol "_"), change index from 2 to 0. Save and exit SKTools. Soft Reset. After soft reset - delete all DbgToStorageLog.txt. In some cooked roms this key is missing. Sorry for English poorly.
P535 custom ROMs by Lifeforce
New ROM P535 (V0.8) + Registry optimzed + File icons sorted + Program folder sorted for sections + new icons + integrated .Net Framework SP2 + Add Cyberon Voice Speed Dial + Soft Key + 2 alarm sound and 5 ringtone + Crossbow and MMT theme + Add SMclose + Network operator codes in registry - Removed ring tone setting from settings (useless) http://norad.shacknet.nu/lifeforce/
i wish i had bought p535... but eten m600+ (
What's been changed in the registry? I don't dare upgrading my rom (yet - because I dont have a backup of it) but I am not afraid of tweaking the registry And also because my current rom has cyberon voice commander. I guess changing to speed dial would mean loss of functionality? (and, is it possible to back up my current rom to an SD card? If that's possible then I'm not afraid of trying your rom )
Changing MiniSD file name I'm using the Rom for Taiwan right now, since I use this phone in US therefore the stupid TomTom GPS Navigator 6 can not regonized my MiniSD card folder in Chinese due to I set the region to US. You must rename a specific registry value, but can't reacall where's located. Try searching SD_CARD in this forum, and you'll find the answer somewehere Asukal's post.

help me! audio doesn't work after installing WaveDev.reg
Hi, i was installing the srs wow for xperia (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355913) , but installing the file in the wavedev.zip, a reg file, now i have no more sound.. Now i need urgently help, couse i have to rewrite an entire registry key... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev could anyone tell me al the values in this zone of registry?? i need heeeeeeeeeelp
@Trakkiggio Your post seems incomplete to me: Have you first installed an SRS WOW CAB file before wavedev.reg ? If so, which version of SRS please ? Version 1.2.10 works OK in WM6.1 IF: a) install CAB version 1.2.10 and soft reset b) insert wavedev.reg into Registry and soft reset Version 1.5.10 does NOT work in WM6.1. The dll file in 1.5.10 kills the sound. I've tested this on 3 different WM6.1 devices to try and sharpen phone communication voice talk - only 1.2.10 works. Some posts say that 1.2.10 prevents you from setting sound levels. I've not found that to be accurate if the a), b) installation sequence above is followed

How to change the Rilphone.dll
Hi there, I've looked for information about this topic and I get this explanation: IF you have a patched nk.exe then make sure the rilphone from the new radio is named rilphone2.dll, copy it into the windows folder of your device, edit the registry with your favorite reg editor go to HKLM/Drivers/BiultIn/RIL edit the Dll key and change it from rilphone to rilphone2 Click to expand... Click to collapse After that I have downloaded the Rilphone.dll for 2.07 version, which is the radio I have installed know, and I followed the instructions but after soft reset, the phone doesn't work. Could someone explain, step by step, how I can change the rilphone? Thanks in advantage.
I dont know where u got that info but: *-How can I install a new rilphone.dll to my already installed ROM? * You can make a CAB or use Resco Explorer... However, it has to be put in \Windows\ directory (and, of course, you need to reboot after the installation!) from here ... end of first post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
Yes, I found this information too but I don't know how to make a cab and the only way I have to change the rilphone it is by using the Resco software and this is the way I followed with the commented result.
The rilphone.dlls are operator specific so first of all you have to know that the one that you are wishing to use is indeed the one that will work!!! After you flash a chosen radio, if it works then there really is no need to tamper with it any further. If it doesn't then it could well be the rilphone file that has upset , or that could improve things, so be careful. A US rilphone, (and who knows where they come from?) may have no beneficial effect on a UK radio and vice versa! Try the radios with whatever you have already (a stock radio could improve with an "in the wild" rilphone variant), but, there's no guarantee. Remember rilphone files are not ROM or radio dependant, they are operator dependant so logic dictates that a rilphone extracted from a specific operator ROM should "enable" that operators access protocols and could be the one to use with any later radio flash. Horses for courses!
Thanks pa49.
