Hey guys, I don't usually post and ask for help unless I've already done the research, but basically I flashed ttran's new otp7.3 rom (there's 4 of them) and somehow I killed my wlan. I saw on the hermes forum that this can be fixed by hex editing the eeprom on the device(looks intimidating I might add), I'm just wondering if someone else has this problem on a herald, and can you share the steps fixing it.. hi there, i was wondering if you can help me solve my problem. im new to the o2 xda mini s phone. i just got this phone and its been flashed to wm 6. it keeps on freezing when i try to log onto msn or move items frmo my pc to the wizard.
is there anyway to fix it or better of to downgrade to its proper version. please reply promptly. thanks TIA

one reason that you phone is freezing basically is that the wizards motherboard is not made to handle the wm6. its just like installing windows xp into a very old computer, the whole system lags down.
there is a way to downgrade it if you are interest. jst let me know.
I and a couple hundred or more people on here would probably beg to differ you on that opinion. I've been using windows mobile 6 on mine since just after it came out and I can't say as I've ever had a hardware related issue because of it. There have been a few software issues here and there, but they've always been fixed by someone on here.
I would guess that you may have an issue with an older version of WM6 and would probably be easily fixed with a newer version that you can find in the WM6 area of the wizard section. Before you go flashing anything though, do some reading in the stickies in the WM6 section to make sure you're flashing a new ROM correctly. There are 2 different versions of a wizard, a G3 and a G4 and each has it's own way of flashing. If you flash it incorrectly you could end up ruining your phone.

It seems that one of cab required for this solution does solve few other issues such as MMS (not experienced myslef but read from posts related to Orange_UK_by_rabdo_v1.6.cab).

Just thought I'd mention that I've never had this issue. I came from Orange 1.19.61.1 WWE ROM and am now on Dutty's 3.3. I also connect to wifi at home using PSK and 19 chars.

Hi guys i need some help if anyone can guide me how to fix my problem. I have an htc touch cdma it has been working fine for more than a year but recently it started rebooting some times or if it reboots it doesnt start again and i have to remove battery and other thinks for it to start. Reading the forum here i got some info about bricked phones so i used the gold card but i dont have the shipped rom because i parchased the phone as a used one. Any of u guys backup his phone before upgrading it and can send me a link to get the shipped rom that would be very helpfull or any other sugestions on my problem and how to fix it and also how to remove the ( test only ) screen that has from the gold card use.

u shouldnt have used the goldcard, that for solving a completely different problem. if your phone starts then it is NOT bricked.
u have to do a lot of reading to get some facts straight, anyway i think u have a hardware problem.

alright, i'm having some issues. I'm trying to port wm5 from the blueangel to the harrier.
i've exported the wm5 nbf into a blueangel kitchen, removed all ril files. didnt help with the NO GSM problem.
i started dinking around some more, i got a blueangel wm2003 flashed/booted onto the harrier and it got past the nogsm problem without caring. i really am unsure as to where to go from here, i need to find whats triggering that nogsm and cut it out but i can't find it in any individual file, just the nk.nba.
any thoughts?
also i cant view the harrier/blueangel wm2003 since they're encrypted. any thoughts on how i'd access them.

Oh boy, did you post in the wrong section. This section is for WM7 development (not even device specific).
BTW, I wish you luck on that one. No one has been able to port anything above 2003 on the Harrier.

Hey all.
it seems i, along with a few others, have bricked our plays (See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13365748#post13365748)
Essentially, what we have done is, unlocked the Bootloader, then updated the software (through the phone settings, in my case, im not sure about the others)
it seems we need a recovery FTF for the updated software. does anyone have access to this? if so, could you get in touch with waz000000, or anyone else that may be able to help.
