I just checked out ebay and other sources and discovered that a lot of new products for protecting your babies screen hit the market since Brando's Ultra Clear for my Kaiser
I found liquid products, silicone coatings, lotus effect stuff, several new brands, solutions for just the screen or the whole Touch Pro...
Are u using the shipped screen protector or anything else?

i'm just using the screen protector that came with the phone...don't really see a reason to use another kind

When it wears out, get a Brando or Martin Fields. You will notice a difference.

Exim screen protector... le deluxe! I've been using this brand forever. I don't feel like putting a $5 protector on a once $1050 but now $850 phone.

I have UltraClear and the smudges are all over the screen, I think I'll have to get used to it.

I've read reviews on the Brando and I've personally used Boxwave.
I'm sure I could find other reviews with different search terms, but it would do little good since you already ordered.
Anyway, no intarweb review is going to tip your mind. Better to just order them and try them out.
I have not received my Touch Pro yet, but I bought a box wave....I've used all except for Brando and I can say for me Box Wave have performed the best so far.
I'm using the Brando Ultra clear.
+It's extremely easy to apply without air pockets underneath.
-It's very fragile and withing a week I have 2 scratches in the screen protector
The screen protector you get with the Touch Pro is a lot less fragile but very crappy when it comes to applying it.
just ordered a box wave so I will report back and let you guys know how I like it. I got the crystal not the anti glare.
Using Exim SPUC Screen Protector since a few days and like it, quality is good, there's even a part to protect the bottom buttons
Just got the antiglare from Brando and applied it. I don't know but it doesnt seem easy for me to apply it properly.
I'll rest now and if I can, share photo of how it looks tomorrow.
Just installed a Boxwave anti-glare protector. The jury is still out for me on the portion that covers the keypad below the screen as it does interfere somewhat with the smoothness of the d-pad and center butten, but I do like the screen protector itself. It is definitely not fingerprint proof like advertised, but I do notice a reduction in glare as well as, more importantly, a good increase in touch sensitivity over the stock unit that came with the device.
I also ordered a crystal version that I have not yet installed.

a question for those of you who've had their Execs for a little while now: what's the screen like? I was paranoid about scratching mine with the stylus so put a screen protector after a day or two.
problem is it feels so thick that I might as well have thrown a big blanket over the screen... the exec doesn't notice the stylus unless I press really quite hard, so it might be defeating the purpose anyway
what do people think?

you should use the screen protector. otherwise your screen will look like mine... however, i use it too much...
i've made a mistake and bought a GOOD protector when i noticed the damage on the screen.
So don't be that stupid as me and buy it before it's too late.
BTW, i bought one from www.Innopocket.com and it is still on my screen for last 6 months...
It is non glare, very hard surface, thin protector.
Writing is exactly the same as without it. Screen visibility is much better WITH it, thanx to it's non reflective surface.

Agree with buzz - you can be as carful as u want but dust on screen makes stylus scratchy.
Having said that, for my last few XDA's they all got scratched, THEN I put a protector on and they look as good as new!
I have had 5 or 6 different pocket pc's over time all of them for at least a year, i never ever used a screen protector and when i sold them they were almust as new without scratches.
My universal wont get a screen protector on that gives me a bad picture quality. i wanna enjoy the great screen on the device, not walking around with a bad screen so the next owner can have a good screen.

yeah - that's the type i'm using... although i'm really not getting on with it - like i say, it feels really thick, and seems to make the screen far less responsive
i spent quite a bit on it, though - so am reluctant to try buying others, and gotta admit, i was hoping to hear that i could just pull it off and forget about it
you should get one from Brando HK. their ultra clear screen protector is the best protector I have ever used on earth.
Yes you should use a screen protector.
Not only does it protect screen it also reduces glair very usefull if you use GPS. I got mine from www.proporta.com ther also do a nice case.

I had a wallaby for 12 months & a himalaya for 18 months, both without protectors & both looked fine when it came time to sell. I carried them in my pocket with the screen facing my leg. As you can close the screen on the exec, I'm even less concerned.
However, the anti glare part sounds like a good thing

Oh, the horror! Look at the attached image; my 6 day old Wizard. Luckily, all the scratches are on the screen PROTECTOR, and not the screen itself.
And herein lies my appeal for a better screen protector. This one is a Boxwave Crystal Shield, and I'm sort of satisfied, in that it protects the screen and was easy to apply (IMO).
BUT, as you can clearly see, 6 days of use gives it plenty of scratches! Screen clarity is still good, but it IS visible on the often used parts (start menu, scroll bar etc).
On my iPod nano, I've applied InvisibleShield (http://www.theinvisibleshield.com) which I'm very satisfied with, but the application procedure requires some amount of water, which I'm not willing to test out on my brand new Wizard (even though IS has a shield available for the Wizard). Also, its texture is a bit "sticky" and I don't think stylus use would be as comfortable.
So, does anyone know of a premium screen protector that could combine the clarity of the Boxwave Crystal Shield and the durability of InvisibleShield (we could call it TurboShield 2000)?. Then don't hold back, tell me NOW!
PS. The picture doesn't represent the amount of scratches properly because of poor lighting. It's actually much worse. I would need to change protectors on a monthly basis with continued use.

My previous protector was heavily scratched after 6 months of use, that one was included in the package from T-Mobile & very soft. The Brando is anti-reflective, re-useable, washable, scratch-resistent & perfect fitted. Because of the scratch-resistance the touch-screen is a little less responsive, but a got accustomed to it very quick. & very important: NO WATER needed.
So I'm very pleased with, well worth my €15. I would buy it again.

That Brando page sure has cheesy design... and that card payment screen looked pretty shady, IMO. :? but I checked around, and saw only good reports, so I concluded that they deserved my business!

This is about the invisibleshield.
I would like to ask anyone using the invisibleshield, if their screen protector is
1. made of the same material as what is used for the rest of the full body shield,
and also, from my experience with the invisibleshield for iPod, I noticed that it was rather sticky or clingy meaning that it was more of a slightly rubbery than plasticy texture that is found on most common, generic screen protectors. My question is: Will this affect the touchscreenability of the Tilt, meaning that
2. am I able to move my stylus over the screen easily without it being all squeakily resistant to my stylus inputs
3. and if I am able to move my finger across the screen for TouchFlo
4. and finally if using the invisibleshield will somehow make the screen less sensitive as compared to as if I were to use the generic "plastic" screen protector.

Yes, the screen does have some resistance to the stylus. I eventually got used to it because my Kaiser is slow and I need to scroll slowly anyway.
Overall a great product. I'm selling my Kaiser today on eBay (bought it for the video camera and i'm disappointed) and the screen + body is flawless.
Sorry to head about your Kaiser. I didn't think it would be so frustratingly slow.

I just bought a ATT Tilt from eBay and I would need to purchase few accessories.
Can you provide your feedback once you installed the Invisibleshield on your Kaiser/TyTn II? thanks
The Invisibleshield works good after you get use to the feeling of the screen. I've used other shields on my Tilt and I think they are better compared to the Invisibleshield for navigating. I'm actually going to replace it later with one I had before. I do have the invisibleshield on other devices (camera, Dell PDA, old phone) and it works well. With the Tilt, I flash ROMs that are much quicker than the stock ROM and sometimes you have to apply more pressure with the stylus or finger to navigate.
What I would recommend is get the Invisibleshield, try it out and if it doesn't work they have a money back guarantee.
Yes, I found it to be unbearable on my 8GB Zune's screen, So when I got mine for my Tilt, I decided to only install the body protector and install a different screen protector, one made by Javo. The Javo screen protector is excellent, it comes with a cleaning microfiber cloth and a squeegee card, and it is really good. The invisibleshield, on the other hand, makes the screen all colored weird, and it looks like crap.

1. The screen was hard to see outdoors before, now it is impossible.
2. It feels like I have rubber on my screen.
3. Scrolling with the stylus gives the sensation that you might rip, tear, or stretch the shield due to its adherent grip.
4. I am using S2U2 and cannot get my finger to unlock the phone without a dedicated and concentrated effort. The stylus however, slides the bar with ease.
In my opinion, it is unusable and a horrible waste of money. I should have known this was crap when the instruction said to squeegee the frikin' thing on as if it was a vinyl overlay (which I think it might actually be)!
A good screen protector should be more rigid and solid (like the screen itself). Furthermore, it should have anti-glare coating and not this egg shell looking crap as the invisibleshield has.
The cheap shield I bought from the cart vendor at the mall for $5.00 was much better than this!

But instead of calling it a waste of money, do you think it would be better if you used the shield for the body of the device and another screen protector for the screen? or did you just get the screen protector for it?
I actually have it on my iPod and it does have a very uneven surface when viewing it from an angle, which is quite annoying because it doesn't look that nice.
I bought the screen protector only.
I have the InvisibleShield for my Hermes and my Blackjack (full body kit with the screen protector) and it works alright. It isn't great and it is a little "tacky" (meaning sticky). My biggest complaint is that if you just put your phone in your pocket it will eventually get dirt and pocket lint all round the edges of the protector film (which is a lot of edges if you have the full body kit).
I ended up pulling some of the kit off the Hermes because it looked terrible after a couple months. The big plus to the InvisibleShield is they tend to make a slick/slippery phone much less prone to dropping because they are so sticky.
Right now I'm absolutely in love with the Martin Field's protectors, they are much more rigid and smoother than the InvisibleShield. They work very good for the Tilt/Kaiser and are cut to fit perfect (great for TouchFLO). They are also removable and washable, and much much easier to install than the others I've tried. So far I've bought them for my Tilt, Archos 605, Sony UX, my 2nd Blackjack, HTC S620 and iPod Touch...

I have been a fan of invisibleshield when it came out for ipods. It is still keeping my ipod awesome, but the topic here is touch screen ability. I had it for my wizard. Your screen will be totally protected, but the movement isn't all that great. Feels very rubbery, but you can still click on the screen. I really suggest another protector, but only problem is, you won't get the full protection. but as long as you are careful, with another screen protector, the feel of the screen is worth it.
my only complaint is being too grippy. Like others reported, I have trouble sliding and touchflowing. Its tolerable for me though, not a dealbreaker.
The Invisibleshield is good but it depends on the application. For the Tilt I think it's not a good application (screen protector) as others have said it's not very responsive. However, I do have the invisible shield on other devices such as my digital camera LCD and it works great. They also have a good life time replacement policy.
I have been using the boxwave for my Blackberry and the Overlay plus for my other phones. I love them both and I think I am going to get the Overlay plus for Tilt and get the invisiblesheild body protection for it too.
I'm planning to get the full coverage and I was wondering how does it feel like on the back? Does it feel like you're holding a plastic bag or something? I like how smooth the back of the Kaiser battery door is.

better think twice before using a mirrored screen protector! yes they do look cool, but the glare makes the hd impossible to use outside or in bright light conditions (much worse than normal), and occasionally frustrating in normal light. they also magnify fingerprints and smudges horribly. i'm constantly rubbing mine against my shirt to clean it
i bought a pack of two and gave one to my daughter and it didnt last the day before she pulled it off. i'm considering a brando non-mirrored in the next week or two.. i really dont like it. ifyour in a dimly lit office all day, it might work for you

I have tried almost all the above mentioned screen protectors but Martin fields and i can say with pride that if you want your device to last for years looking same GO for INVISIBLE SHIELD. With brando, you have to change every few month otherwise the scratches start to appear on the protector
Yeah, but the Invisible Shield just looks so bleh. No way to get the film to fit flush along the border of the screen where it meets the body of the phone. The film just floats in that area, basically creating a void that appears as an air bubble along the whole perimeter of the screen.
They really weren't thinking when they made the cut for that film. No reason not to have made one dedicated piece for the screen, separate from the side of the phone body. If they took one second to have actually looked at the phone itself, they would have realized this.
It does help give a better grip/handle on the phone, due to the silicon material. However, it just looks ... eh. Certainly not invisible. At all. It does change the look of the phone. Looks much cheaper. But I guess scratches'll do that too.
That silicon material also changes the feel of interacting with the touch screen. It does have some give to it. So it feels like you get more compression as the stylus sinks into it. And your fingers/stylus will not glide as easily as you might expect for this type of input method. It's not a hindrance, per se, but it will be different.
Installed the front and the bottom piece. Stopped there. Didn't want that glossy rubber-like material covering the flat-black rubber-tone finish of the back cover and the brushed aluminum finish surrounding the lens.
Would really like a dedicated film for the screen that kept the same physical feel of the screen - more like a glassy/plastic film - and a separate one that protected all the glossy black lacquer finished pieces.
The Zagg Invisible Shield is rubbish. It tries to cover the screen and the chrome bits around the screen with the same piece, so it doesn't fit as well as it should

are there any anti-glare screen protector around, like the iphone one? Been searching around but couldn't find any, would be good if there are plans for it.
there are many, almost all manufactures have a clear and a non-reflecting version. I use Exim crystal clear protector and Im very, very happy!! I have it since the first days I bought my blackstone (I bought it on November, 21st) and it lasts until now, without any issue!! I'm using my phone full-time, about 6 hours a day, non-stop, so I think this is a really good protection! and it looks like it's not there so, decide yourself, the problem with non-reflective ones is, that you have not such a clear view, but it's only minimal. For me anyway, I need to have a very clear one, cause I'm most of the time inside buildings and I want for watching movies, have absolute clear screen^^ that's it

thanks... but when i clicked to add one to the basket, google stopped translating, so i was stuck. so i ordered a brando protector. the mirrored one was way cool and very impressive, but i drive a lot, and it made my hd unusable when the sun was out. so bad that i pulled it off and my hd is unprotected untill the brando arrives

Yesterday I sent my X2 to service*, so I have probably a month or so to look for a screen protector - or do I need one? X2 is not equipped with one, so maybe S-E thinks the screen is good enough without it?
Probably not, so I'd like if you could recommend me a screen protector, maybe two - glossy and matte.
I don't care about its scratch resistance, I just want it to be as thin as possible so it does not interfere with the touch detection much.
Does anyone actually notice any difference between "expensive" and "cheap eBay" screen protectors?

im sure there was a thread about this somewhere else. but anyway, check out durasec hightec. i had their screen protector on my X1 for a year. its a special self healing plastic. small cuts and scratches just dissappear! highly recommended. they have their own website and are also on ebay. i think it comes from germany. costs around £9.

i really wouldnt bother with the cheapo ones. i had three with the X2 when i got it and they only last a week or so and get scratched very easily. the durasec will last as long as you have the phone. its quite thick but doesnt affect the touchscreen response at all.

I bought one for the i-Phone (price 2$ ) because in Lebanon we don't have accessories for SE so I cut it in order to become the size of the X2, touch so well and protect the screen from the wounds
The best solution for screen protect is Brando protector. I bought one and can´t belive that is so briliant! Best protector ever!

Well, yesterday I ordered some cheap protectors from eBay, both glossy and matte. I went after the lowest price, because I so far have not found any comparison or reliable testing which would prove these expensive "brand" protectors to be better. It is just a piece of plastic anyway, isn't it?
