Hi!
I removed the icons for battery and wireless manager with
Remove the Battery Icon:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power]
"ShowIcon"=dword:00000001
Remove the Wireless Manager Icon:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WirelessMgr]
"Keep"=dword:00000001
So my phone lokes like this now:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I want to remove these three red framed icons from my task bar. (connectivity, telephone and volume)
But don't want to hide the system tray complete. The green babylon icon should remain. I've tryed it with the Advanced Configuration Tool but achieved no positive result. Furthermore there isn't a \\registry\HKLM\Software\HTC\TrayApplet entry in my registry.
Pls anybody can give me the correct registry keys or an app to deactivate this dogged symbols on my HTC Touch Diamond?
Thanks in advance.
Any suggestions?
for zin & atom
excuse me for butting in, what the registry for atom to remove particular tray icons in wm6? thanks.
I don't know whether I understand your question. You ask what the registry have to do with the system tray symbols?
Huh! I don't know! Please fill me in!
Nothing? So I need another way to get a clean system tray. I've no interrest in these symbols. I need the space for other things...
I'm also looking for the same registry or app for removal on artemis.
Maybe you should look in HKLM\init and remove Launch92 or similar launch with TrayAp.exe

Hello there,
I have the o2 XDA II.
I have inadvertently deleted the o2 active menu.
When I want to use my bluetooth headset, I would have to click the o2 active menu, then on the bar at the bottom of the screen was a small icon denoting a headset. I would have to activate it.
Now that I have no o2 active menu, I cannot turn on the headset. Does anyone know where that setting is other than on the o2 active menu?
I really don't want to have to do a hard reset if it's not necessary.
Many thanks in advance.

Solution to missing headset profile icon
Karen,
Even I had the same problem when I uninstalled O2 Active. You don't need to hard reset your XDAII.
This headset icon is available as a plugin on Today screen also.
Go to Start->Settings->Today . Click on Items tab. You should see an item called "Profile". Check that and click on OK.
In some cases, you won't find this if you have more than 13 plugins installed (This is a Windows Mobile OS limitation).
For this you may need to tweak your registry a bit.
Remove unwanted plugins from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TODAY\ITEMS entry in your registry and reset(soft) it once. It should solve your problem. If you do not have a registry editor, you can download a free registry editor from http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/utilities_registry.shtml.

Hari

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to hide Bluetooth, WLAN and possibly Screen Orientation button on the bottom right of the Today Screen? I'm hoping it might be possible to edit a registry key to hide these buttons. I've included a snapshot of the screen showing the buttons for clarity.
Thanks for any assistance,
Dav

Ok I have a cunning plan....
I notice that the tweaks2k2 software allows you to hide the Orientation Icon, which works nicely. Now, if I take a snapshot or backup the registry before and after and then compare them, I should be able to see what was changed by tweaks and then add that registry change to my CAB file. Guess what i need now is an app which either backs up or takes a snapshot of a mobile registry... any recommendatiosn most welcome!
Thanks,
Dav
Ok, forget that plan, Google turned up a nice list on this website, didnt realise a lot of this stuff was nicely documented here. Excellent. Simply -
HKLM\Services\ScreenRotate\ShowIcon
ShowIcon = 0; to hide it.
Cheers,
Dav
Ok after researching and locating UITweaks to change font colors, menu colors, etc.. i was wondering how the hell do I change the icons for cell signal, audio icon, and connectivity icon (G/E). Thanks in advance.
With shortcut creator you can change the icons http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=275577
If you want to change the icons in the start bar (top bar), it depends on the app. Easiest routes may be through a signed mui, or cooking your own rom containing custom icons.
Have a read through this thread for some ideas:

I've made an app to allow you to dynamically change the icons to whatever you want, but it's not being released right now.

anyone happen to know what dll the signal icon, volume icon, and connection icon fall under or perhaps where they can be found in the registry? I tried using the above programs but cannot find out where the required files are located.
bump...................
Why not dump the rom, extract the icons, and check out which contains the relevant images?
I've done it but unfortunately don't have the filenames at hand.

Hi from Luigi.ING
What's the difference between the large and normal title bar?
The bubble which pops up with enlaged symbols in it.
I didnt test it, but maybe Luigi can give some feedback:
Lets assume you install this on a ROM which features "Enlarge Startmenu". The "Enlarge Startmenu" item controls the Startmenu AND the enlarged Titlebar. Now personally I like the big Startmenu, but I dont like the titlebar bubble. Will installing this and disabeling the large Titlebar in it give me the big Startmenu without the bubble?
it is possible activate and deactivate directly to settings/personal

The battery icon on the top
QuickMenu is a powerfull today menu replacement with alot of options like menu extensions, bluetooth control, task manager, battery indicator ... It works really fast and it's very usefull, saves alot of taps. Try QuickMeny to get in the game.
IMPORTANT
Best working with WM6 !
To install just copy the archive content into your Porgram Files folder, and then execute QuickMenu.exe !
To UNINSTALL just kill the QuickMenu.exe process with any task manager and delete, then delete the QuickMeny shortcut from /Windows/StartUp folder and restart your device !!!

So yeah I tried something similar to the previous post and I have lost my "x" button at the top right - to terminate active processes ya know? Does anyone know how to get this back (I did remove the program)
At the upper right, load taskmanager --> Keys --> close Apps on x pressing
