WM6.1 Professional(build 20275) 12MB Pagepool for Polaris WWE

Friends,
WM6.1 ROM (build 20275) is finally out for testing. The released ROM uses 12MB of pagepool. You would like the speed of this ROM. I had been making many Himalaya ROMs (see my signature). Though I had been making many Polaris ROMs also for my personal use, but this is my first public release. I am sure you all shall like it.
MAIN Feature:
This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

General Notes: (Please Read before updating)
- There is readme.rtf inside the package. Pl read ir carefully.
- Remove SD card before update!
- There is no Radio or extended rom... JUST OS!
- You MUST install HARD SPL before going over a custom ROM.
Installation:
Install HARD SPL
Put device in bootloader mode.
Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and good luck.

Sorry bro! it is WWE only at present. You can change the mui files and make it FRA.

I can change the language rom just with mui files? that method only works for apps not for the OS ?

I've flashed this ROM and I'm totally unable to type standard characters in "Notes" and in the Messaging Account Setup Wizard.
Sorry, but I will have to use another ROM. By the way, it comes with some tools that I find unnecessary.

Standard characters are coming fine in "Notes" on my polaris. see the thumbnail..

I will give this a shot. Just need to find that app list with most updated task manager and htc home!

ok 1 bug found is when your trying to change ringtones and notifications under settings>sounds and notifications, it wont allow any changes to any alert, infact if you try to ok out of the screen it even changes the ringtone from what was previously set by the install to the ring-WindowsMobile....???? and it will not allow you to exit that screen

i have uploaded your rom. so far there is a problem with writing sms text. numbers are working , but letters not. there is no phone keypad whilst in landscape mode, so i cant dial numbers at all. do you think you can fix it, and sent me link to fixed rom?

I think that this issue can be solved by this trick:
The main problem of sound files is DRM protection.
This is the part that we have to add somewhere into
registry (i prefer boot.rgu)

Shekhar, I don't know why it happens: each time I try to enter a character, sounds a beep (the one that sounds when you do something not allowed). I can enter spaces, carriage returns, accentuated chars, and symbols, but anyone from the latin alphabet.
This happens whatever the SIP is choosen.
I have never had a problem like this. Could it be because I flashed from the SD card? it's my first time.

Hacks Reference
I would like to gather some of the addresses found in the Exe files to Patch for instance using N2A, Other Devices, Google from other Directory etc.
This is so it can be easily be applied by others Cooking.

i have downloaded udk rom and ripping it apart now. all credit for a working file goes to udk. give me a day or less and a working Version for any device will be posted in my thread hergilla.

It can be done if you can read the OS.nb. For some reason I keep getting errors.

upload is running and approx. finish in 10 minutes.
Would love to see that on my kaiser.

So you have the imgfs.bin file? this is what we need to try to extract the packages....

I've been trying that since this morning but after I run imgfsfromnb OS.nb.payload imgfs.bin it comes up with an error about no imgfs signature found

Doesn't work a few have already tried that and e few other methods.
At this moment What we need is a dump of the user.hv and default.hv as the available Dump of course has no RGU files thanks to Bepe's Kitchen
[Edit I found out later that i overlooked the hive files in L26 Dump from hism Polaris]

Dudes... why dont we just ask UDK to give us the OEM Package? I mean... he surely did some hard work... but xda-dev is about sharing, isnt it ?

First boot with 76% and after comm wizard 83% but this ROM is fast!!! very smooth!

Pros and Cons
Fast. Nice looking.
1.No wifi in comm manager.
2.Camera maximum resolution 2mpx and no autofocus.
3.Touch keeps failling and asking to be opened. Hard to select items (you can flow easily in menus but not choose a item or message). Biotouch error in Outlook. Closing application using the X is very difficult.
4.Already had 2 "out of memory warnings" (one trying to open comm manager!).
5.Quickgps error ("location setting must be on so that the latest stellite data can be used to speed ups GPS positioning"). Never seen that before.
6.Had to use contacts to make a cll. Dialpad is not working
I not a very good cook (a couple of tries) but I cannot see the packages you mentioned. I think theres's a IRDA package (and we don't have IRDA on Polaris). yes I know I can remove it if I'm cooking. Just saying that this is a waste of space.
Nice work. I think (don't have benchmark) is the fastest yet.
Just found the oem packages. For some reason it didnt extract from the rar at first time.

Why you use new symbols in task menu....in main window (without x or ok button) the symbol for open programs is white....and the rest coloured...is not so nice...either or....

2.Incorrect rendering ot theme if you scroll up and down theme-over-theme in Titanium-Honey-cumb whatever you called)
3 QuickGPS not working (AGAIN!)
But it's a much better looking ROM then the previous one and I like the Theme pack, black

the 72% memory...its because of the htc mega aps....in a other thread of an htc mega 6.5 rom are the same problems...
For the rest i don`t know...my device is in repair service...the oil field prob of the touch screen(digitizer)....so i test it when i have my phone back...

I've got my phone running with HTC mega pack on 47% memory usage.
Okay i have used a clean rom and manually installed the mega packages, but in my experience roms with 65%+ memory are useless.

I must say that I am no fan of the skin in this ROM either.
And less than 40 MB free RAM after boot is unacceptable.

1) Camera is not working properly, at least on my pda, it acts as if the camera is always zoomed (even thought the pictures are ok).
2)i can't install my own keyboard, it doesn't work.
however i like the work you do! icons I like!! keep it going!

the reason for camera always being in zoom is that is not finished yet it's the same camera that Tachi uses and it's VGA .... HTC has not finished all of the MEGA apps yet.

First let me say that i really enjoy this one.
here're some problems i faced so fart:
Applications simply turn off without any exception message
There is no way to add a new Keyboard. It is being installed but cannot change the original one.
Windows live, i've installed the patch but cannot open it up.

ofcause it works fine sometimes when you just add the newest stuff that HTC already made perfect but sometimes there are incompadabbileties so they don't get fixed by just putting all the newest stuff in there but rather finding what's the problem then trying to fix it even if it means using old but working apps.

If possible add sense 2.5 2016, which is vga but full raw available on net.

GPS does not work! As in the firmware without Manilla.
Installed GpsModDriver. In EXTERNALGPS update data. Run IGO. He sees the GPS module and satellites. Specifies the location in less than a minute. And as soon locates the GPS module hangs. The same thing happens with the Garmin. Once the module is hung, restart the software does not work - shows that the GPS module is connected, but no satellite can not see! Only helps the Soft Reset. The problem is hovering GPS module after determining the location!
PS The firmware series 23 .... no such problems. GPS works well.

only lacks ram, but this is a problem already known
just a suggestion and many already said so: your 6.1 with sense would be great as it has a huge amount of ram

Radio 1600.05 has disconnection problems, i never use it, i always change to a better radio. Unfortunately for experimenting reasons i mixed this rom with radio 5001.0300.76 only to find out that it also has disconnection issues. Call quality is quite good though.
By the way, WoW, this new sense is blazingly fast! faster than both previous versions i've tried. As for ram, you could leave out the manilla phoneskin, that could give you about 6-10mb more, but then again it is too beautifull and practical to leave it out and it wouldn't really be sense without it
