I was left with no option
O2 service Centre in INDIA said they will not service O2 Xda Exec.
So I Checked for the External battery - it was ok!
Then Decided to open it. Found a small battery on the board. No volt description.
Opeted to CPR the battery.
Like I do for my patients who have cardiac arrest.
But this time with just 1.5 Volt AA battery. SHOCKED it.
Then hard rest I started getting the serial screen!!!
I WAS THRILLED AS IF I SAVED ONE OF MY PATIENT!!
Congrats mate!!!!
A good surgery!
I did not know that UNi has that second battery, and good to know
Thanks
PD. by the way. How many years your UNI has?
I'm having uni for the past 3 yrs

A'ight, so i opened my good old' Prophet today.
I am 50% sure that the battery thing thangy on the motherboard (see pic) is broken.

However, it might also be the battery, i have two batteries, one is the one that came with the Prophet and one is a cheap battery i ordered from Dealextreme.
I do know that the cheap battery is dead, but the other one (I did some testing with it, it shows up at 1.4V at my multimeter) i'm not sure if it is dead.
The phone has been like this before:
It randomly worked, randomly turned off, it wouldn't work for like 10 days, then when i put the battery in again it worked.
It kept doing that until it died completely.
Any suggestions?
I can't understand on photo. A battery pin is broken? If the problem is broken pin, a watchseller or jeweler can fix it. They have the right equipment to work with small things

Click to collapse
You think they will fix this?
I would try to get a new (third) cheap battery.
Or try to re-animate the cheap one (dangerous, forbidden, but works often for me: open battery casing, unsolder LiIon-Cell, reload with Lab power supply to around 3-3.8 V (never > 4.2V!!!!), resolder, put in Prophete, start charging....)
The pins look ok. 1.4V for LiIon is below the deadly shutdown value!

OK, maybe my answer is a bit late...
I noticed threads and questions about those gaps in the battery usage info graph, and had them too a couple of times. Every time my phone would crash and reboot, those gaps would appear !
Today i accidently stumbled on a possuble explanation of this:
I'll add some screenshots aswell; so in my current battery history, in the first screenshot i think (the stock statistics), i have two gaps, one big, and one smaller earlier. So, i turned off the phone and PULLED OUT THE BATTERY aswell cause i wanted to check my batteries mAh (its 1650 but thats offtopic). Thats how the small gap appeared, because i went and checked the graph immediatly. As for the big one, my phone seemed to crash and reboot while i didnt notice, because in an hour or so of no using i woke it up and it asked for the SIM PIN.
Also as a note, in the Battery Usage where is tells what apps ate how much battery, is written that the screen ate only ~30% instead of the usuall 60% ! Another sign of data loss.
So there, i think the phone crashes or something and doesnt manages to save the battery data, and those gaps ("falls") appear.

Hi guys, I never really understood the meaning of those hours when i click on my battery status. On the pic shown, it says: 1H 10m 29s on battery. Can someone explain to me what that means? It seems very low to me, and i just got my phone 2 days ago. It is the octa-core version i9500.
I also see that media takes up most of the battery, and I dont know what that is.
Plz explain?

It just means your phone is for 1H10M29S unplugged from the power plug :fingers-crossed:
If you click on media you can see which apps are contained in media and stressing your battery.
having wifi on, and using my phone for normal usage and its allready 77% in just 1 hour... I hope the battery does improve as what some people say if you have a new device.
In 3 hours i have a loss of 7% while using Whatsapp and Instagram, 3G is activated.
Did you activate auto. Sync (Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Samsung stuff), Gestures, AirView and so on permanently? If so, please switch them off, this will help for a longer battery runtime (only if you dont need them all the time).
How a about the display brightness? automatic oder manual setting?
#offtopic What is that font & needed to root to change it?
#ontopic The time will not reset after you plug it in for a short time.
hey guys,
i have the wiredest problem.
i've phurched a new galaxy s5 and when i connect it to the charger, a charging icon appears but the battery % dosent go up, only down.
i've downloaded many battery analysing app and theey all seem to think that everything is fine, that the current flows and all, but the % dosent go up!
i switched a battery and a cable and its definitly a phone problem (i can charge the battery in another phone)
some suggested that i sould replace the charging port but it looks completly new and fine, and also cost quite a lot of money to replace.
is there any other soultion?
thanks!!
Sorry I encountered the same problem on my old s3. I finnaly solved the probleme by changing the micro hdmi port. Sorry I know you won't here this but i search everything. I replace myself it's not so hard. I do it because my s3 was in ending life.
It does sound like the charger port.....
The replacement parts aren't that expensive (under £10 off eBay).
Just make sure you get the right one....
Look at the pictures......

These parts are device variant specific......
It would probably be a good idea to match 'rev' versions too.....that was certainly the case with the S2....If the wrong rev version board was put in, it led to signal problems etc......

My ZE553KL (I use it as a home device control, small tablet) keep loading/reloading for 3 hours now. I CANNOT SHUT IT DOWN. everytime I have this vibrate boot, ITS SUPER ANNOYING.
It show the bootloader then reboot, then show the bootloader and so on. Buttons are unresponsive.
Only think I can do is press up and get to screen number 2 for exactly 6 second (my computer then recognize it).
I cannot remove battery (hello soldered battery). or shut it down, I guess at some point It will drain battery but.
I have no idea what is happening, please help?

Ouch
Play with it. Proper button sequence and timing is everything. It's easy to not hit the right button at the exact moment. Allowing the battery to auto shutdown may break the cycle. Don't attempt to solder the battery without a good iron and skillset. You need to be fast about it.
If the OS is pre Pie it's suspectable to rootkits that require a reflash to erraticate.
A hardware failure is also possible.
A bad coded 3rd party apk can also boot loop you. That's worse than a normal boot loop though.
It's definitely corrupted... hopefully someone here who has seen this before and/or knows more about that line of phones advanced troubleshooting can help you.
