Hi Friends:
Today, I'm trying to connect my PC via USB with my HTC MOGUL PPC-6800...my PC (Windows Vista-64bits) installed the "Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device" into the Network adapters...and then...I ran the Internet Sharing application in my Mogul with PC Connection-USB and Network Connection: 3G-Evolution.
It's working great...but a few minutes later, my Mogul is going to "Backlight" and then it's going to Black-Screen and disconnected to my PC.
I need to reconnected to work again.
What do you recommend me to maintain the connection?
Thanks

I've updated my T-Mobile US MDA to the shipping k-jam ROM and it seems to work fine, though I can no longer connect it to ActiveSync. When I connect the device, Windows detects it as a "Windows Mobile-based Device", but says that it cannot find drivers for it, so ActiveSync can't see it.
I've been looking around for a place to download drivers, but haven't found them. The imate site has a support area, but without an IMEI to an imate device, I can't get access to it. Do they have the Windows drivers in there?
Make sure you have ActiveSync 4.1. Earlier versions will not connect to the latest ROMs. 4.1 is available directly as a download from Microsoft or you can find it on the T-Mo CDROM (if you have a T-Mo device)
I had it already, and reinstalled as well, but still no love. The firewall is off as well.
Searching for drivers on the T-Mo CD didn't turn up anything either.
I have same problem - sometimes - but then, when keep on disconnecting and connecting cable to the phone, after a couple of tries it connects successfully.

Can Someone post the settings and procedure for using the various kinds of netowrk connections.
1. Activesync via USB cable passthru to internet
2. Cingular Edge
3. Wifi
What network setting should I use when trying to connect to the internet thru the type of connections listed above.
It also seems that when ever I switch network connections I have to soft reset in order to get my Cingular 8125 to use the connection. Is that the correct method? I thought all you should have to do is switch the network connection type and anything software trying to connect to the internet would automatically use the new network connection type.

I've successfully upgraded my Qtek 9090 to WM6 Pro (5.2.16.20)

ROM version: 5.60.00 WWE
ROM date: 03/02/05
Radio version: 1.12.00
Protocol version: 1337.42
All works great, but still I can't connect to ActiveSync 4.5
When I put the Qtek 9090 on cradle it ask to install Activesync 4.5 or newer ... but I've installed (and reinstalled) this tool, downloaded directly from MS site.
I've also Updated all the components on PC (SO, Office, etc ..) with Microsoft Update. But still I've this problem.
Please, could you give me any help ?
Thanks in advance.

i got the same problem!
my 9090 says:
cannot open the connection usb, this connection is no longer valid ore exist, plz select a diffrent
it worked until now
Sorry, my English is bad. But I try to help because I had the same problem.
Which firewall is installed?
With the change of WM2003 on WM6 new rules must be allocated for ActiveSync.
Several ports (999, 5678 etc.) must be switched free or turn the firewall off for testing!
Simply turning off the network monitor at the Comodo Firewall.
Good luck!

My Qtek 9090 ask for Activesync 4.5 or newer while connecting.
I have just tried with another PC with XP on board and a fresh copy of Activesync 4.5 - Same problem (ask for 4.5 or newer)
I'm quite sure the problem is on PDA.
I hope in some suggestion.
Thanks to all.

check\uncheck in USB to PC - Enable advanced network funkcionality try which one of them will work with your pc
RESOLVED !!! (Yeahhh)
The problem was on network properties of Qtek, when connected.
Right-click (in control-panel/network-connection) the Qtek entry / Then properties
- check only tcp/ip protocol and MS network services
- I've disabled bindings for VPN and packet-trace utility
Activesync 4.5 WORKS GREAT NOW
Have a nice WM6 upgrade.

Hello Everyone
I just updated to the latest NFSFAN WM 6.5 Rom. I have everything working so far, no issues with MMS. I have an issue with the tethered internet sharing option. I used it fine in Verizon 6.1 Rom. When I connect my tether it comes up with option for Sync, fast file transfer or internet sharing. I select internet sharing and the screen where u select USB or Bluetooth comes up. I select USB but nothing happens. The connect is grayed out. What do I need to added or change to connect? Thanks
I am using ROM 1.66.707.1 (76641) WWE from SEA (With Chinese), I cannot update the stocks using GPRS but WIFI is ok, it keeps saying "Connection Error", I only managed to find out that in order to update successfully is to SUB synced it and stocks will update successfully, but after you did a reset/turn it off you need to redo USB sync.
Any clue? Anyone can help?
It works fine on my phone using gprs or umts. Have you run setup connections at your phone so that the connection settings are ok using gprs?
can you connect to internet using gprs?
