Hi everyone,
so that's it: few days ago my polaris was stucked on three color boot screen, but now it doesn't switch on anymore!!!
When I plug it to the wire for a second the blue led is on for a few second , then it goes off.
any suggestion before i give it to repair??
- Replug battery
- Hard reset (Press and hold the GPS/MESSAGING and INTERNET EXPLORER buttons, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device)
tried already, but no button seems to work
and also when i plug it, I can see two led colors with WEAK weak power (purple and red). I tried to charge it for a night but still the same.
You can always check if it will blend?
very funny man tried already with yours?!? Let me know...
Did you try charging using the USB cable?
Maybe there is an issue with your ac plug...
yes I did, and the result is the same, tomorrow I'll give it to repair and the I'll let you know, thanks everybody

As I mentioned before I tried to hit every single button again and again for hundred time but nothing happened...
Because you let the battery completely wash out power so device cannot complete boot procedure. Try plug USB cable and leave for 30m. It should be in charged mode (the device still not boot untill you press power button)
Or you can recharge the battery manually: using USB cable, cut it off and using red and black wire, red wire is (+) connect with (+) terminal on bettery and leave it for an hour. CAUTION: I have never used this way, so please search the exactly procedure to be sure it's safe for you battery and you in doing this work.
From what I've read here (not from experience, however) the wall charger is the most reliable way to charge a dead DEAD battery. This will be best accomplished by leaving the phone off.
If, on the other hand, you think the battery is charged but you cannot get past that screen, I suggest you download the default ROM for your phone's service (mine would be a Cingular/AT&T ROM, for example), and try to do a total wipe/reload of the OS.
I'm no expert, however, so you might want to hold out for clearer heads...

did you try another battery in your uni? also did you try tapeing the pin on the battery that reads the voltage level?
according to the universal service manaul flowchart, a redlight indicated bad battery>bad battery pins>shot motherboard.
so i don't think this is good. anyone got any..thoughts on figuring out WHAT exactly happened?
Hi
thanks for the input
will you please guide how I can tape the pin on the battery that reads the voltage level
many thanks

...almost the same.
my problem occurred after I did a soft reset. It took it a while to boot and every other time I used soft reset the boot took longer and longer until it did not want to turn on again.
Soft reset doesn't work but when it's left on the charger and pressed, the battery light blinks once. It won't charge and my PC registers a device malfunction when connected through USB.
The only sign of life pops up when I press hard reset but after I press 0 or X nothing happens.
Please help!
I have same problem as well, I even bought spare battery but uni remains dead and silent.
Beside the fact that when it's connected to PC, windows show unrecognized usb device.
what happened before it died? did you ... do anything to it? mines still dead as a doornail.
I am not alone :'(
It means many other fellows are suffering from same.
strange , total silence from experienced guys... atleast they can say it is useless for you to try.. and now dig a grave for it.
Experienced guys have their own lives too
Wait with patience till someone replies you and do not double post on same topic please

Hello all,
So I went to turn on my Fire and wanted to boot into recovery so I long pressed the power button (+20 secs). Now my Fire won't start up. I get the momentary green light which comes on but no boot up - just a black screen.
Any ideas...i.e. help? Cheers.
For info I'm running (or I am normally...hehe) CM9. Cheers bis...
does the green light stay on if you turn it on ?
or is it "blinking" - like it reboots ?
cm9 seems to drain the battery in some conditions
may be charging with the wall charger for some hours helps
do you see a sort of backlight on the black screen ?
would verify it with hard power down to see the difference

The green light only comes on for a second after pressing the power button. The screen is completely black. What is a "hard power down"?
Also, plugged into the outlet there is no light, charging or otherwise.
Cheers for your response and help. Much appreciated.

hard power down is meant to hold the power button for ~20sec - till it turns off
if you plug it to the wall charger it can last up to half an hour till the orange light comes up when the battery is heavily drained - would recommend to let it on the charger over night in such a case

Oh yes, that's what I did initially - which I assumed put me in this state. But it might well be that it powered down completely. It's plugged in the outlet so I'll it charge more. It's been charging for over 3 hours and there's still no light, orange or other.
hmmm - the strange thing is that nothing shows up on the display - this implies that it don't have enough power to start to the bootloader or the bootloader is messed up
if the bootloader is messed up there is only one way to load a new one
you have to open the kf for this ...
is it recognized at the computer in any way (shown up or the typical ding ding sound) ?

Problem is I don't have a computer now...I'll leave it plugged in all day and hope for a change of some sort. If not I'll have to do another one of my now famous calls to Amazon. "I don't get it...it just won't start..." And two days later another one arrives. I have to say they are incredibly accomodating on that front...but I'd like to avoid it. Three times is pushing my luck I think...

Yes, that's my experience. I just say "the screen is black and it won't turn on" - they've never had a problem with it.
Well, a thorough charge solved my issue. After the charge, I did a hard power off and then powered on normally. Whew...
Glad to not have to send it back to Amazon...I shall make sure it is fully charged from now on.

Hallo,
I've got a N4 Stock and yesterday the screen just went black. The phone is not loading (no battery sign and no LED lighting).
I already tried to go to Recovery Mode via pressing Power+VolumeDown while plugging in. Unfortunately only thing I get is a solid red LED for ca. 10 seconds and then nothing.
I assumed that the battery died because of temperature shock since I had been jogging in the cold just before the phone died. But battery change unfortunately didn't help (still the same response. Am I supposed to perform some sort of reset after battery change?)
My question is following: any chances to rescue the phone or even more important to retrieve data from it?
Thanks in advance!
I would really appreciate any help

try holding power and volume up for 1 minute with the device unplugged (it simulates a battery pull) after 1 minute, release the power and vol up buttons and plug the device in. You should see a blinking red LED after doing this, and it should start charging. If it remains on a solid red LED after trying the above, im afraid it may be bricked.

Unfortunately it didn't help. Also I think the solution targets a battery problem. Maybe I haven't made it clear - the battery is already exchanged. Therefore I assume ScumDroid is right and the phone is bricked indeed.
Charge your phone using usb ...for some time ...let it charge and leave it
And try going to fawtboot mode

Hello to all experts.
1- Accidently my wileyfox storm battery was fully drained at night and i was not at home during that time.
I connected mobile to wall outlet it was showing red colour on home button when connected (as a battery charging indication) but after near about 8 hours i tried to turn it on but no luck. I pressed power button for many seconds, many times but no luck.
Now what should I do to turn on my wileyfox storm.
2- My second question is how to open back cover of my wileyfox storm. i did not find any notch or point to open back cover to see inside.
Thanks in advance.
Plug your phone on charge but not in usb, and wait about 20mn
I am having this problem as well right now, how did you fix it?
I too have the same problem , it was off because drain , but then put in office is no longer lights . the light is always red . what can I do?
Leave it charging for a while from the mains. Red light means charging on low charge, the screen doesn't turn on until it has some charge.
it is normal to be in power for eight hours, and nothing has changed ? Red light always on and off screen

I had the same issue you are having, battery ran down to empty, charge light would always be red no matter how long it was plugged in, slow charge, fast charge, holding down the power button, even with the inclusion of the vol down, nothing worked.
I fixed it by opening up the phone and disconnecting then reconnecting the the battery. After doing so the phone started to properly charge (phone booted up and displayed the battery animation). Everything now operates as normal, though I won't be letting it drain to 0% again, that's for sure.
If you're able to, give it a shot and hopefully it will do the trick for you as well (though I'm probably way to late).

After I read your message here, I've tried and finally I solved this problem in my phone.
I was getting crazy because there isn't place to fix this phone in my country and the company Wileyfox wanted me to send my phone to someone in europe to them send to Wilefox to fix it. I've spoke with the company today to see what could they do for me and the solution they gave to me was this and to I try to open the back by myself. But this last solution it isn't a solution because would make me loose the garantee. Why the technician didn't told me about this solution? I'm so disappointed with them.
hi i have a wileyfox storm it is not going on when i press power button .now i connect with wall charger so it show a red circle on the bottom and phone show logo on and of .how can i put it on
This works!!
For anyone who needs it, this also works on wileyfox swift 2
Had this too, but solved
Just had this problem occur on my Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus. Completely drained, left on charge for 4h but it got 0% charged in that time.
For me, hooking it up to a slightly stronger power source (5V 2.1A) USB port of my power bank,
in combination with Power + Volume UP
Got me to a boot screen I'd never seen before.
Hit Fast Boot, it looked like it just turned off again but a few seconds later I saw the normal boot screen pop up
