Hi, does anyone know of a good radio Rom in the NYC area?
good reception/battery?
Thanks
Personally ive used the 2.19.11 radio and didnt have any problems with missed calls or anything like that. I had also used the 2.71 (or something like that) but was facing the missed calls problem so went back to the 2.19 radio
2.19 is no good for me. it takes too long to pick up a signal.
I use Tmo btw.
Thanks
Well i was also on the Tmobile network and ive never noticed that problem so cant help you there. Only thing i can advise is just go by trial and error, there are different versions of the radio besides 2.19.11 try them out and see which ones the best for you ( try the 2.71 version some people say they had good results with it but like i said b4 i unfortunatly had the missed call problem)
stuck on splash screen.. format failed
my bad.. pls ignore this..

I read many people have radio problem with their Wizard
My problem is "I'm at home and I have 4 bar radio signal" at night I leave my Qtek on table.
At the marning he's looking for signal
I put 2.47.11 radio rom but it's the same
Repar center told me it's because the devive had falled down
Is this problem the same as usual ??

Not all radio roms work well...depends on where you live. I use 2.47 and it rocks, but 2.61 and 2.69 won't fetch me even one bar where I live. Sometimes I can have a full signal and then hours later need to reclaim the signal. You can do this by soft resetting, or in settings/phone/network tab click "Find Network". I don't know if this is a common issue, but I have had this problem before...especially when I had the 2.6x radio rom's installed. Also to note...many chef's say that if you use a custom rom 2.19 is the best radio to go with.
Sorry couldn't be of more help.
I'm on the 3 network in Australia and I find my reception is quite poor.
I understand 3's network coverage isn't as amazing as Telstra or Optus, but it is meant to be strong around the CBD, which mine isnt. Other friends on the network using non-htc handsets have perfect reception in places I don't. This leads me to believe it might be my radio. Even when roaming reception will drop out occasionally.
I have Radio-3.22.20.17. Are there any other Australian 3 users here? What radio are you using? How is your reception? Would a 6.35 radio be better? I've searched XDA, Google, etc and couldn't find decent radio information for the Magic, only found some for the Hero.
Thanks,
Anyone able to help?
i don't know much about the radio side of things, but is there anything else that could be affecting your reception?
do you have a cover on your phone?
does reception improve if it's removed?
have you contacted 3 to see if there might be a fault with your phone?
I have a cover, but reception isn't affected with it on or off. I've also had the phone checked and its fine.
I want to test a new radio/rom to see if it improves but I don't want to go back to Android 1.5 and there are no 100% working 2.1 roms, so I'll have to wait.
Are there any threads similar to this one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563757
Hi there,
I'm from Australia as well. I used to use the new radio to be able to flash the cursorsense rom and it works great. Inside my office, most of the time I didnt get any reception at all but with the new radio, it did.
i switched back to the old radio to use another rom though. (at that time, rom for the new radio is not that much). at the moment, my mobile phone is roaming
you might want to try the new radio (I believe this takes more space than the old radio as my internal space just disappeared). however be careful with that, i think it's the error in flashing of radio n spl that can cause you to brick your phone.

I ended up trying CursorSense. I hate Sense UI so I removed it, but I didn't notice any signal difference. I also ran Before and After speedtests numerous times and averaged them and the new radio was slower for me
so sorry to hear that...
well, at least i finally found someone from australia using magic and a member of xda as well..
I've not used my Magic on 3, but I can relate to your signal issues on their network. The only contract phone I ever had was with them and I regretted it, call drops and poor signal no matter where I was, I used to work in the stock exchange building, you'd think a phone would have awesome signal there but I'd be stuck on 1-2 bars Sorry to say it, but I think you can blame 3, not your phone.
ok i have flashed many roms on the leo, and they keep reporting new voicemails in the notifications when there arent any...
could it be the radio???

please help!!!
bUmp... i see ya peaking but nobody speaking
Try going back to just the factory Telstra Radio. Its on the forums, give it a search. I just recently switched off it, because the new Miri roms no longer support it... I never had an issue with anything. (Voicemail worked, no dropped calls, and no data disconnects) I now get random dropped calls on the new 2.08.50.08_2 radio. There is a new 2.07.xx.xx radio for Telstra out, but no one has ripped it out of the Telstra Rom yet. I keep reading about everyone having all these issues, it seems like the T9193 needs to stay with the Telstra Radio to work.
EDIT: Stock Telstra Rom is 2.05.51.11 Do a forum search and it will pull right up. The newest Telstra is 2.07.51.22_2. Keep your eyes open for it.
umm NAA... i only put energy roms on my phone, most reliable roms ever built i just wish there was a cab for this fix problem

I read somewhere (can't remember now) that said it's because the sim card is too old. Try to switch to another sim card and see if same thing happended. I don't think it's a ROM issue
Not having your issue. VM comes and goes as normal. I'm also running your radio.
I don't know if I'm the only one this is happening to, but I have noticed that my data connection is way more spotty then usual. Half the time my email doesn't download and stuff stops downloading in the middle. I don't have any major problems with my voice connection, just my data. I have tried out several different ROM's just to make sure (I am running Elegancia right now), but the problem stays no matter what I do. I have radio version 2.10.50.08_2, could it be that our something else.....PLEASE LET ME KNOW...
Thanks
Anybody???
howdy,
i kind of notice that too when i installed " Kumars Rom on my HTC HD2 tmo us, i used to have a solid 3G at most places and most of the time, but recently its been edge and emails and other stuffs are acting up, also i been getting " H " most of the time, its just weird, i might try the stock tmo us rom to see if thats just the cooked ver. try the stock rom and see if you have the same issue.
yeah im getting the same but im still getting all my data fine its like i have full 3g but its not showing up on my phone werid
Flash MIRI's WM 6.5. I did it yesterday and i've been having great luck with it so far. I haven't noticed any places where i get less data connection.
Moved as not ROM Development.
Thanks for the help so far....Maybe I just revert back to stock...does anybody have the step by step instructions how to do it?? Thanks...
Hi,
Im having problems with my HD2 signal. The problem is that it searches for my provider on startup for about 2 minutes and gets max 1 to 2 bars only on the second floor of my house, although when it has a connection it has 3G. Its mostly at no connection.
I have a second HD2 aswell and that is running okey even in the basement.
No warranty, so no point of suggesting that.
Ive flashed many differents roms and radios, didnt help.
Any suggestions I should try?
Where is the internal antenna located of this phone?
Thanks in advance!
try swopping sims to see ifs its the sim, assuming they are both on the same network
If not swop out the sim with one thats compatable
Naah, its not the problem of the sim, because one of the hd2 works perfect with my sim and the other doesnt with the same sim. So if the second one doesnt have a grudge against my sim then it should not be a problem of the Sim. Thanks for the advice although!
The question im quite interested at is where is the internal antenna of the HD2, I would like to check the connections.
It's a know problem with many HD2's i think some sort of bug in android. Switch to 2G network only in the settings and ull have full reception all the time.
Try to remove the battery over night, and then reflash with Radio-ROM and OS-ROM of your choice.
worked for me, no signal issues since I did this.
Soz, wrong theard :/

You can flash a different radio version just like you flash other stuff. Be careful and read the directions though because you can brick the device doing a radio flash.
Go to your phone settings and "about phone" and you should find your radio version. Most of us use 2.15.50.14.
Click here for the HTC HD2 Master Radio Thread
Read and find out what might be best to use for your carrier and or location. I used 2.15.50.14 because it was recommended by TMOUS users which I am. Some people test different radios and see which seems to work best for them.
-Edit-
The radio controls stuff like your carrier signal, bluetooth, wifi, etc.
thanks i updated to 2.15.50.14 but im still having this problem . idk what else to try
Having some trouble with that also. So, the steps are:
Reflash Radio, than android and see if it works?
If it doesn't, anybody knows the best Radio for brazilian carriers? (Mine is Oi Santa Catarina)
Thanx.
