In Samsung Omnia, there is this cool thing of the phone vibrating when you press a button on the keyboard, which give somekind of feedback feeling.
Any one knows how to make this happen in diamond????
there is an app that does this already, search for Vibration Feedback

dont work on my diamond! unsuccessfull installation!
way?
When I red the post in which is written that this app. is battery eater... I kinda cooled down from it
Haptic feedback for Diamond.
Guys,
The link provided above is for some older Haptic feedback tool which is definitely not a good idea on the Diamond.
There is only one tool to achieve this on the Diamond. This is the newest release and battery use is fine.
There is a control panel to activate vibration feedback only if the SIP is in use, which is mega useful.

Best regards,
Adam
here, this works on the diamond. personally i dont use it, the novelty wore off real quick. the vibration frequency is not to my taste. also i don't think the default tones are working after un-install.
shamefull double post but the uplaod worked this time

Hmmm, please be careful with the tnyynt DialPad Vibrate.cab file. It makes registry changes to replace the DTMF tones only in the Dialer SIP. The vibration is not adjustable and unless you have a backup of the original values, it is hard to restore the original tones. If you uninstall, it will not undo the changes made to the registry....
....Seriously best bet is to try the app I linked to in my post above. It uses a separate application "VOA" to register any screen-taps. The included setting utility allows to change the vibration level and dictate when it should be active. Plus it is uninstallable and no system changes are made to files/registry.

Hello!
I often thougt that dialing numbers on the dialpad really does not offer enough fisical feedback to satisfy my perfectionism.
I tried a program called "finger clix" wich is mainly an improved contact manager but... it had a dialpad aswell wich offered tiny vibration as feedback on press. I have to say that the feeling of actually dialing a keypad really boosted.
Now to my question shouldn't it be possible to hack the built in dialpad of the Magician so it returns not only a dialtone but a tiny vibration aswell?
Anyone have any ideas?

...how about using search? it already exists and works...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=23395&highlight=vibrate this is what the simple word "vibrate" brings up, when you type it into the search here...
cheers, lutz
Thanks lutzh!
To be perfectly honest with you I do use the search engine a lot actually.
I guess I wasn't very observant this time.
Thanks anyway for posting the link!
C.
you're welcome anyway
ciao ragazzi, lutz
There are a couple of dialer apps that do this, w the assistance of CE Dot Net. Beware that they eat up battery though.
faysel, over at the modaco forum has come up with this awesome cab that lets you get vibrating feedback everytime you press one of the number buttons in the phone. The vibration lasts as long (or as short!) as you press the button.
Great cab, very useful for knowing whether you have indeed pressed the key.
This is great, thank you. I used to use Redial with vibrating effect on my PDA2k (WM2003SE) but this is even better
don't expect a long battery life with that!

Are you kidding me? I mean what kind of a battery effect you think it will have? Its such a small vibe that I don't expect to have ANY noticable effect on battery life. First it vibes only when you dial phone numbers (how many a day? 5? 6? even 20? Its still nothing. Second, receiving a phone call, that is the vibration during it, probably uses more power than this addition will use in 20 calls...
I really disagree...
This is a great little program!
I don't like it because if you tap fast, it wont vibrate. In addition to this, there is a serious problem with the dialer after you uninstall it.
So I had to reinstall it and now i'm stuck with it
My rating : 0 (ZERO)
@Andrew_sh: use the attached cab to get the keytones back, then uncheck from the sounds and notifications settings to get a working silent dialer back.
@Koksie
Thanks for trying but unfortunately it won't fix it.
When I press the button , the tone will sound but if I press it again shortly after, it lags and makes a higher pitched tone.
Sorry to hear it didn't work Andrew, I have no idea how to fix this. I use the vibrate and am happy with it, on my Magician going back with this cab worked fine, I have no idea what is causing this in your Prophet. I hope you can figure it out and correct it, good luck with that.

Try this, it's a saved registry string of the original keys that the .cab modified. Hopefully i'll work for you without messing up anything else.
I had to rename the file vibrate off.reg.exe to ba able to attach it. Just delete the .exe part ie. vibrate off.reg
this is a technical forum
can someone paste here the registry keys which are being modified by this vibrate utility?
thanks
Using a registry editor navigate to the following keys and follow the directions. Do this for each of the listed registy keys
1. Rename Standard DWORD parameter "Sound" to "Sound1"
2. Create new String Parameter "Sound"
3. Assign value *vibrate* to this new parameter.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf#
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf*
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf0
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf1
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf3
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf4
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf5
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf6
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf7
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf8
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf9
this mod doesn't work fine for me, I noticed the vibrate a few time but it's not working everytime I tap on the Keypad...
Strange :?
Although the mod works fine, I had big troubles removing it again.
After removing the mod with the supplied cab file any keys pressed in the dialer would lag and emmit a short beep.
i finally succeeded in removing it manually:
First reinstall the vibrate mod again so that the keys vibrated again when pressed.
Then go into the registery keys posted above, deleted the parameter "Sound" and then rename the parameter "Sound1" back to "Sound".
Do this for all Dtmf keys.
Thats all
its true if you tap fast it wont vibrate at all.. very annoying. is there a way to make it vibrate for a set lenght.. much like the dtmf tones used to be.. no matter how long or short i press..
that would be very useful.
regards,
tom

I used this mod until I found out that I couldn't turn off vibrate on incoming calls anymore. I can't be sure that they are related, but the timing was right. The next time I did a ROM upgrade I didn't install it again. I use speed dial with Photo Contacts Pro anyway.

Not installing on Tytn / Black2.5
"Installation unsuccesfull, Not meant for this device"
Did anybody have more luck? How?
I don't like this
...the vibrate just doesn't trigger some of the time, which means you can't rely on tactile feedback on dialling, which makes it fairly useless. Sorry...
buhahahaha

works fine on my Jamin. Great app
Hey all I wanted to know if there is a program that will make my Wing vibrate slightly when I dial so I know I pressed the keys. I found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=269024
but is doesn't work on my wing. Any thoughts out there?
Doesn't works for my LG KS20 too, is there any software to do the same job for vibrating on key pressing like the LG Viewty?
did you set the keypad tone to short under phone settings?
I cannot install it... error message.
I adjusted the reg, its faster and simpler. Did you try that?

Vibsrating Keys Cab
Here u go ..... just made a cab for it
Its lso included in one of my WM6 Roms
Thanks for the cab, i'm going to try it on my wm6 device.
i see 7 downloads..but no feedback yat..
feedback...;-)
thanks for the cab..i installed it on my tytn 2 and it works fine. there is one flaw (and i am almost sure it has nothing to do with what you did): you can press a key very lightly and produce a number without any vibration..i don't know if this can be prevented, but the problem is: you never have a 100% reliability that no vibe= no key pressed...
maybe its also related to ur touch screen pressures setting..
that sure makes sense...;-)
Have downloaded and used the vibrating keys cab on a 2003se BA. Great. No problems, and thanks!
cab only works intermittantly on a hermes/tytn/8525 device. uninstalled, and no longer get dtmf tones. dtmf is funtional, but i dont hear the tones when i press a number to dial. all i get is a singlr tone for most of the the keys, and another tone for a few of t e others. how do i restore the tones that were produced prior to this cab. Also, would someone share the reg edit that makes the phone vibe on digit press.
Works on Eten M700
Works great on my Eten Glofiish M700 with WM6
you have to make sure that under phone options, its set to short or long tones..if its set to off, you will not ave anything
Thanks for the great CAB

Hi all,
Looks like my T-Mobile MDA Vario II is heading the way of the D-Pad/White Screen ribbon failure (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321163) but as I've not yet got the white screen, and the problem is intermittent I wanted to ask a software question first before I broke out the screwdrivers.
Is there an easy way to change the soft key actions during a incoming call, so that I can click on the screen instead of the answer hardware key to answer a call reliably?
From reading around it may be that this is locked to the particular dialer as none of the key config tools seem to allow you to change these temporary soft key items?
At the moment I'm running Schaps 4.30 ROM which I've found very stable and feature packed, but when there's an incoming call the soft keys change to 'Silence' and 'Send Text' neither of which are as important to me as 'Answer' and 'Reject' which is what I'd like on there.
If it is a case that these soft keys can't be changed via the registry does anyone know of a WM6-6.1 ROM or Dialer that does have the options I need?
Many thanks in advance for any help!
I'm pretty sure my ROM does the 'Answer' and 'Reject' soft keys... I'm pretty sure that's the default too... If Schaps has something different, then I think he changed it away from the default to what he has...
Many thanks now on latest CRC 6.1 Stable
Hi CRC,
Many thanks for your quick reply, flashed to your latest WM 6.1 Stable ROM last night and can confirm Accept/Reject Softkeys on answer are present and work great!
ROM also feels smoking fast, so will leave it as is for a week or so and then might move to your development ROM to help give feedback and squash bugs.
Obviously your ROMs are very clean so looks like I'll start heading off to find all those Cabs like 6 button Home, Big Start Menu and Audio Manager that make life that little bit more thumb friendly.
Really appreciate the work you do getting the engine tuned so well! (You should get a small donation come through soon.)
Alan
(Now I can wait until IE opening whenever a new txt comes in finally drives me mad enough to crack the case and try to fix the ribbon cable!)
Thought I would contribute to all the apps for the HTC Diamond. This is a Lottery Number Generator program. It works by shaking the phone. Nice graphical UI.
Full QVGA, VGA, WVGA and WQVGA support
HOW TO USE
Shake the phone to generate numbers.
If you want to select some manual numbers or scroll to something, click the button under the wheel.
Click the lock button to lock all numbers in place (prevent accidental shakes)
To Exit the program press Middle button on the NAV pad or the X in the right corner.
Settings:
Choose Number of wheels to show (1 - 6 NOT including the red one)
Set the Max Number for each wheel
Red Wheel can be enabled or disabled
Red Wheel can be set to be unique from the other numbers, or any number
Adjust the shake sensitivity - 5 Being the most Sensitive and 15 Being the least
All comments are welcome, this is my first official working piece of software.
Enjoy
UPDATE: VERSION 2 IS OUT
The updated version has a customization screen, so you can adjust just about every setting. Try it out and let me know how it goes. Good Luck !
REMOVED Most of the Update History, if you want it, it's in the History.txt
UPDATE: VERSION 2.8
Some updates for WQVGA
Added some sounds
Added a manual spin button
TODO:
Add favorites for multiple lottery
Keep the comments coming, always glad to hear feedback
If you really like my app(s) or win big, feel free to share

I don't know why but it works only if I move the directory in Internal Memory.
Anyway funny app!
Ah, in italy the numbers of lottery are 90!
Thank you.
thank you much for the reply, i will look into the problem. i tried to install to device and to internal storage, and it seemed to run both ways. how did you install it?
Thanks for sharing. Worked fine for me installed to the storage card. hope you don't mind if I share a little bit http://www.fuzemobility.com/your-lucky-numbers-just-a-shake-away/
glad it worked for you . big thanks for putting a word out there
Sweet I'll split the first winnings with you....lol
lol, thanks...
Hi:
Seems like a great, and fun idea, I installed it to internal memory, it installed fine. But after install, I shake, and shake and nothing. I did make sure it is not locked, but still the wheels don't change.
Also, would you consider adding a 7th digit for Powerball?
Thanks!
Wow, a great application Maybe you could also create the Dice rolling application such as the one advertised with LG Cookie.
Although I can get it to work its EXTREMELY hard and random I must shake it like a madman and it hurts I'm afraid I might throw it and break the tv or something lol... I second the 7th number thanks awesome app
i will add the option to change the sensitivity of the shake, i tested it on the diamond, not sure if there are any significant differences. i will add the 7th wheel as soon as i have time, it will be optional under settings.

I chose Internal Memory, but the program was automatically installed in the phone memory.
...Then same problem of "cincy1020" (post #8)
After moving the directory of the app to Int Mem all works fine.
hi thanx for this cool app/game i gonna use it for bingo can it also say the numbers like a bingo caller
that might be an idea, something to add further down the road. thanks for trying it out
Nice app hermanm
Loved the fluidity and animations!!!
Nice job, thanks very much. How about the option to set the number range, in the UK balls are 1 to 49. Looking forward to winning.
UPDATE RELEASED !!!!
thanks to all who have commented on the program, hope to hear more about the new version.
great app - but couple of issues.
Am running on a touch hd and even with sensitivity at 15 (max) it takes a lot to shake and get numbers generated.
Secondly there have been multiple instances when I have generated the same numbers in more than one reel - this isnt acceptable when playing the uk lottery for example. Can something be done so that no same number is generated more than once...
hi hermanm. Cool app, i'm trying it on my HD. Just a couple of notes
- i know it's designed for Diamond, but works well also on HD (480x800): would be possible to have it full screen?
- on HD we have no nav pad, so there's no way to quit. Would be possible to have an "exit" button or an "exit area" somewhere on the screen?
- i think sensitivity setting is not so intuitive: low sensitivity rate (at least on my HD) means higher g-sensitivity, and vice-versa. With sensitivity @15 i shake without results, with sensitivity @6 the wheel runs
cheers
oops, sorry, actually that's the way i had it as far as sensitivity goes, lower number = more sensitive. i guess i should change that the other way around. as far as full screen for hd i will see what i can do, also will add an exit button. thanks for the feedback.
