its interesting, but i already have the bt icon.
i want something that when im driving and i forget to turn it on, only pressing a button, and voilá.
much safer when you're driving
why not just leave your bluetooth on all the time.
you can hide it from other dev ices so is safe from bluetooth hackers
i do

Remote Control Musicplayer with wired Microphone button!? Someone - help!

This is the deal.
I'd like to be able to remote control the music player in TFLO 3D. That means, 1 click=Play/Pause, 2 clicks=Next track, 3 clicks=Previous track.
The reason is as much as I like my HTC I don't want to take it out of its pouch, fiddle around with power button and flick the screen...
I've tried HButton and AEButton Plus (the latter works partially). I've managed to map the Volume up button for 1 click=volume up, Long hold=previous track. The opposite for volume button down. These buttons don't get locked in case I put the phone in standby and have the headphones connected. Works even with S2U2 if setup properly.
BUT this doesn't solve the problem. I have a perfect Hardbutton on the mic.
Now, The green button or call button is said to work just like the mic button. But that is not true. If I reprogram greenbutton with AEButton I still only get one option - HOLD mic = Voice dialer. Disable voice dialer and I have nothing. The hardbutton exists - but can not be programmed. And it is not the green button.
Anyone out there - come on... XDA forum unite. I can't be the only person annoyed with this lacking feature that existed on my Sony Walkman Casette player!!
How about using this? I have not tried it myself though.

Unfortunately, since the HTC Touch HD has been equipped with a 3.5 mm stereoplug the mini-USB connector is useless for anything than charging the phone... if you try to insert a USB headset - it tells you to use the steroeplug...

Pressing call button in Manila ROMs redials last number? Oversensitive??

Hi!
I've experienced this problem on a variety of Manila ROMs (Rafyvitto, Arto, UFE).
(I don't know if it's an issue with non-Manila ROMs as I haven't tried them)
(Since it's not related to a specific ROM, I'm posting here than in the particular ROM threads)
When I press the call button, it almost always starts redialling the last number.
What I would like it to do (and what I think should be the default) is to go the phone screen (same as pressing phone softbutton on Manila Home) - and give you an option to dial a number...
Does anyone else have this trigger happy call button?
Any suggestion for fixes?
Thanks
/Sifaan
it's a known problem with the htc phone canvas in our device.
You can use ae button plus and assign the call button to take you to the phone screen. It works fine like that

Seems like I was a bit hasty here... it works fine with the keyboard, but the remapping also affects my bluetooth headset - with this setting, I can't answer a call by pressing the button on my bluetooth headset (because it is interpreted to run phone app rather than answer the call).
I mainly use bluetooth headset when driving, so it kind of defeats the point if I have to pick up the phone to answer the call...
any ideas... please....??

Alternative way to turn on / wake screen (capacitive buttons / accelerometer)

Hi guys,
Got my Desire HD last Friday and I'm really pleased with it, stunning device. The problem is, I'm using a case which protects the phone nicely and looks decent too but the power button is very tough to press in (let alone without a case TBH). I have Cyangens "Menu Unlock" enabled but I'm wondering if there is a tweak or APK to enable the capacitive buttons when the screen is off so I can turn it on easily (using Button Remapper). Maybe even a shake to enable app to wake the phone. Oh, cover below:
When I had the Galaxy S, I could just wake the screen with the main physical Home button.
When I had the Milestone, there was an APK to allow me to wake the screen with the buttons.
Any help or direction would really be appreciated. Would love to be able to unlock it that easily.
Cheers #auggie2k

Buttons will be disabled when phone is asleep. The closest is to try "Tap Tap App" from the Market. Its free. Try and see how it could give you possibilities. Basically, it will allow you to set lock/wake permissions using the proximity sensor.
I use it as an alternative to pressing the power button all the time during shorter phone sleep/wake intervals
Much appreciated Jacob, cheers for the quick reply.
You can try WidgetLocker too, allow you to power up the phone using volume button.

Its possible without much battery drain I remember using Pocketshield with the HD2 where it unlocks when you flip the phone facedown and up or shake from side to side. Seems they're still hung up on Windows till now... I hope they come around to turn to Android soon

You're welcome mate! Test the proximity settings, I used to use "Easy Detection" but found it too sensitive, it unlocks with short finger waves which was cool but also gets screwed up with strong winds when outdoors... lol
Since, I've changed the setting to "safe mode (default)" and it responds well to 2 mild taps. Hope it works for you too!

Just installed "Tap Tap App", works perfect for me as an alternative unlock/lock. Thanks a lot!

Bluetooth on-off shortcut, hardware buttons

Is there any shortcut for enabling or disabling bluetooth with just one click or button?
I am thinking of buying hands-free car set and I do not want to go to connection manager each time I get in or out of the car. Having bluetooth always on will drain too much battery...
Is there a way to change what longpress of hadrware button does, for example the buttons for answering and ignoring button?
I only use screen and power button, so making shortcut on other buttons would be great.
Thanks for answeres
Why not make a quick link short cut to the comm manager on your home screen?

Because after pressing DONE it doesnt close itself and you need to go to taskmanager and close it manally which becomes annoying when you have to do it few times
Man I wish I could help you out more but I don't use Bluetooth with a handsgree car kit so no experience to fall back on. I am thinking it is either a built in thing in the Windows Mobile that can allow auto detect of a car kit and auto disconnect, I think I remember reading you had to turn the Bluetooth off manually with it to though. I also think there is a couple of apps out there that might help you out. Maybe someone else can jump in and help you with this, sorry again man.

So why not? Make a desktop shortcut to BT switch, it's easy, just 4 taps in WinMobile.
