Hi all,
There are some nice apps that locks screen when there is an incoming call. As I noticed, original WM dialer (or PDAviet's dialer) didn't unlock locked screen on incoming call (it only unlock bottom soft keys), but Diamond dialer do it (when you use built-in screen lock). Meaby there is a simplest way, with no need to instal app, to tweak some registry keys to disable unlock when phone is ringing? Personally I would use Windows Today screen lock and be sure that f.e. only "Send text" softkey is enabled as original WM dialer do it...

Hello all,
I have a couple questions regarding my Touch dual (HTC with dutch original rom)
I like S2U2 very much and it's a little annoying that a received sms shows in a window on screen even though S2U2 is active. I 'd rather look on my phonealarm link to look at my sms. I know you can disable this in the settings menu, but every time i soft reset, it keeps reverting to the old setting (ie "show message in window"). Any way to avoid this?
Also, does anywone know how to go straight to the message by clicking on the phonealarm link (instead of going through the menu containing all the received messages first)?
Secondly: I would really like to power on the screen using the action (center DPad) button. I thought i had found the solution by not locking the buttons in the S2U2 menu, but apparently, the DPad is the only button that doesn't power on the screen when locked with S2U2.
I tried installing AEButton plus, and assigned an action to the button, but apparently, S2U2 (just like S2V and S2P, all great programs by the way) overrules AEButtonplus.
So any way to turn on the screen with the center DPad button when the phone is locked with S2U2?
I've been searching, but haven't found any answers to these questions.
Thanks for replying!
anyone know the answer?
Hey!
Is somewhere out there an application or some sort of WM modification that would make the default WM device lock power-button-sensitive? The current one (if you enable it in Advanced Config) turn itself automatically on when you put the device into standby (by power button, for example) but when you press the button again, you have to unlock the device. That wouldn't be a problem if the TouchFLO 3D clock updated, but when the device is locked, the TouchFLO 3D clock doesn't update itself.
So I would like to have a keylock that would automatically lock the device if the power button is pressed (or the device is in standby) and automatically unlock when the power button is pressed again (or there's incomming call). But the important thing is that it would keep the device locked when some appointment showed up or something like that.
I've been searching the net and all possible forums and sites but ran out empty - no such application od modification found. Can anyone help? Maybe the csdevctrl (v.4.01) may help but I don't know how to set it properly.

StylusLock is locking the device and keeps running programs updating the screen (so is not interfering with them). But probably this is not what you requested, because it is not controlled via the power button, but the stylus.
Thanks for reply, but that's not what I'm looking for.

How do you do this in Advanced Config? I can't see it anywhere!!!
mayb he meant diamond tweak. there is a option called autolock. when ur backlight goes off or u turn off the screen it will lock the device.
Advanced Config 3.3: Screen -> Auto device lock & timeout.
I dont have that option on my HD with advance config
my solution
I had same problem and auto device lock did not solve it. because I don't want the device is auto locked when the screen is on. It should only be locked when the screen is off and device is waken up by power button or any call/sms/alarm event.
- Battery Status plugin was able to do this great but it does not work stable with TouchFlo 3D.
- To lock the device automatically on wakeup ThrottleLock is a great application but while it locks the screen clock and today screen is not updated.
- I also tried VJDeviceLock but it did not work automatically on wakeup. But when you execute VJDeviceLock.exe it locks the screen manually using the device lock of Windows Mobile.
To solve these first I installed VJDeviceLock and then ThrottleLock. Then I copied VJDeviceLock.exe into ThrottleLock folder in the name of ThrottleLock.exe. Now every time I wake up the device screen is locked by Windows Mobile's devicelock instead of ThrottleLock's pattern based custom lock screen.
Hi,
is there a way to deactivate the native Slide to Unlock function for incoming calls, since I am using TouchLock Pro wich itself locks the screen??

Haven't tried this, but I believe if you install Smartlock you can then select which lock you want to use. Simply open smartlock and select S2U2
Thanks, But that doesnt work. I dont have s2u2 to choose.
Any other solution?
You shouldn't have to replace the wm lockscreen in order to use S2U2. I'm running S2U2. Do you have the WM lockscreen to enable at power off? What are your settings for the lockscreen that have it interfering with S2U2? Unless you have tweaked the registry or installed a program to enable the WM lockscreen at power off or you are tapping the lock soft button in the programs menu, the lockscreen shouldn't be activating. In other words, you should be able to install S2U2 and run it without wm lockscreen interfering.
I only want to open s2u2 when i press on the "lock" button in start menu. Autolock is perfect with s2u2.

I want the same too.
I know there's a way in the Registry to map the "Lock" softkey in Start Menu to activate S2U2 instead of WM6.5 Lock, but don't know which is the trick.
Does somebody know which is the Registry Key for this ? I'm searching 1 during week about this !
Hi guys
Me too ... I want
Spent a couple of hours on several websites to find the trick ... nothing !
I have also opened a thread here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551185
Don't understand why you would want this? Why not just install S2U2 and use its features? i.e. when you press the power button it will lock the device using S2U2, or when it times out (after a set amount of time) it will lock using S2U2??
If all you want is the 'lock' command on the start menu to use S2U2 rather than the standard windows lockscreen, it makes no sense as pressing the power button is far faster at locking in S2U2 compared to going start --> lock.
Unlock
Hi guys,,,
I have a problem unlocking the keypads in the start menu after I accidentally press the lock softkeys in start menu,,,, in wm6.5
Hi all,
I have a HTC HD mini and i want to prevent anyone to see what SMS (or how many) I receive when phone is in lock screen. HD Mini users know that when the phone is in lock screen and receive one single SMS anyone can see the text of SMS when press power button. Is there any way to set up this?
And I want to change the button who wake up the phone when is in standby, default is power on, I want to press power on and vol down for example.
Thanks.
anybody?
No answer?
I also have this device and i really don't know of any mod that can be done in the lockscreen so it won't preview SMS. An idea is to stick to the default winMo lockscreen with the slide to unlock from center to left or right.
Now, to be able to power on the device with a combination of buttons needs deeper investigation. You need to mod some things and some registry entries for sure = complicating. But here is an app called "shake and wake", with which you can wake your device by just shaking it. You can google it if ur interested.
10x man.
I tried already wm lockscreen but that one does not work with pasword. I need something to keep pasword on unlock.
Try Throttle Lock, not so much a password as a pass pattern but it works for me.
