Hi guys,
During the call I’m setting off bunch of application by accident. The manual says it suppose to be a virtual protective shade over the buttons and only “keypad” and “End Call” should be accessible. But in fact anything I touch is working. What to use to disable all buttons during the call?
Thanks
P.S. installed apps:
Duttys task manager 2.1.1
Montecristoff HD2Tweaks
TC
Cookies home tab 1.7
chainfire 3d driver patch

I see the small holes/sensors left to the LED. What do they do? How do they block the keys?
on other hand maybe i disabled something in HD2Tweaks and it can be restored back?
Thanks
the proximity sensor will know when the phone is to your face during a call and turn the screen off. make a call and put ur finger over the sensor see if the screen turns off
sensors
One is light sensor to brighthen or dim screen, the other is proximity sensor to turn off screen during call, so you don't touch any with cheek,or ear.

There's a sensor thats suppose to turn your phone screen off when you put it close to your face. Do you have anything blocking the sensor next to the ear speaker? or maybe a cheap screen protector going over the sensor. I've also heard long hair can mess up the sensor if you don't push it behind your ear before putting the phone up to the ear.(Don't understand how that would effect it, though) Or did you change any settings that effect the proximity sensor?
I've never heard of a "virtual protection shade"... where did you read about that?

user manual page 58:
During a call
When a call is in progress, a shade covers the Phone dialer’s onscreen buttons to prevent accidental taps. Only the Keypad and End Call buttons are active.
To access the onscreen buttons, slide your finger down, starting from the top of the shade. Use these onscreen buttons to put a call on hold, dial another contact for a phone conference, enter notes about the conversation, and more.

THANKS for the help!
i try the spen test when i dial *#0*# then i noticed that the right part of the screen not detect my spen. help me see picture below
You're using a case with a magnet, aren't you? Take it off. The Spen sensor is magnetic.
Hi!
Does anybody know if there's a magnetic sensor built in in order to provide a wake up/sleep functionality? If so, where is its position?
Thank you in advance
Light sensor near the top of the screen, that's all I know about....
Thanks. Thought, there could be a magnetic one also.

Actually , All note 4 series has an build in magnetic sensor , but i am note sure just excatly where is it located or what is actually doing it , but i am sure that it does not related the usage of covers because even on my old phone (galaxy note 2) had it and i could not succseed to make it work with lots of magnetic covers , you can check and test yours magnetic sensor by installing a small program that i think the name was "android sensor box" , which is on google play and it does not require a root access , and after running it , may be you can find just excactly where it is , by moving your phone next to the metals (not magnet, i think home keys are just enough ) and by reading the values on sensor box , you can just evaluate , that excactly where it is
yes it has a Yamaha YAS532 magnetic sensor in the exynos versions. Located on the circuit board and is 1.5mm by 1.5mm in size.
And it works great with google cardboard's magnet [emoji6]
Hey guys,
I recently bought a 2019 galaxy tab A 8.0" with S-Pen.
It's working amazing, especially with the S-Pen.
But I have a little question, does the tablet have a magnetic sleep sensor to use smart flip cover to put the device in sleep mode?
I bought a cover that was supposed to have it. The cover itself is nice, but it doesn't trigger it the screen on/off at all.
So I'm wondering if the device even has the sensor, since I can't find any option anywhere either.
After some info I just found, this function should work with proximity sensor?
I checked, the tab does have a proximity sensor in the top, but I can't find the option anywhere.
And putting my finger on the proximity sensor doesn't seem to do anything.
Edit: seems like the tablet doesn't have proximity sensor, but only light sensor...
So impossible to get a sleep/wake up cover.
That's lame.
