wm5 Themes/DialPad Skins & wm2k3se/Higher Splash

any one tried making themes for 2005 ?

I have but ill upload it later.. i also have Magneto skins for Wizbar advance

so how did you make them ?

I'm looking for the Halo 2 Theme featured on Microsoft's Mobile Embedded DevCon 2005... It skins EVERYTHING at once, even the dialer pad and ringtones!!!!

any pics of that halo skin ?

Guava Bubbles.tsk theme in Magneto is actually a cab file .. try to rename the extension tsk to cab then open it under the WINCE Cab Manager ..

its nice, but i can only set one color of system (in bgr hex) and today background.. what about the rest of the system? any chance to skin dialpad?

Johnz, can you tell me what are the little bars in the top of the screen? I see a green and a orange little bar! Is this a program? Or just a small error in the themedesign?

its small program called "powerstatus"
its not a bug in skinning
i'm also trying to change dialpad to something nicer to match this theme colors..
and btw, i'm also nobody

the old tsk for WM2003SE is also a cab file .. try to view it in wince cab manager .. and compare with the tsk of WM2005 .. you will find that the color value of WM2003SE is set to REG_BINARY while the Color value of WM2005 is set to REG_DWORD just try to change its registry type so you can set other color .. an7ways here's some of the sample code color, add this to your tsk [HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Color] (example only)
4  --- today font color 
5 --- start bar color. 
6 --- separator lines in todayscreen 
13 --- Message box bar Gradient left 
14 --- Message box bar Gradient right
39 --- color of startmenu font
as for the dialpad .. the method is almost the same with the wm2003se just look in the windows directory ..

[NEW UPDATE 1-8] ThrottleLauncher Glass theme beta 0.3

Hi folks i have been trying to create a theme for throttlelauncher that has a glass look.
I am still working on it but thought i share it with you folks overhere.
This is what i got so far: Glass Theme beta 0.1
Here is a quick update, the numbers on the clock are now lighter and more visible also updated some icons and cleared some other stuff.

I like it but I think you could of made the clock colors a little more lighter. Other than that It's good.

this looks quite.....mixed up. It looks like you used about 20 different icon sets - some are darker / brighter, some are more/less glassy....try to find icons that match, like HTC Home / TouchFlo3D for example.

I second that, you can hardly read that thing...
And please, if you call the theme "Glass", choose a proper background and choose the rest of the colors according to the background.

As I said i'm still working on it.
i'll lighten up the number color of the clock and will try to get a better look in the next release.

Gentox, sweet app! I just found this today and loaded it up, looks great. Just to let you know, it works great on a non-phone ppc. I'll keep a watch for further threads from you. Again, noce program man!

I have made a new theme for my new HTC Diamond, as the one I made for my artemis no longer looked right, as the image was stretched. So I have re-made it and decided to release it into the community, as there are so few VGA themes which look nice on the HTC Diamond
- It's both VGA and QVGA ready, as well as Landscape/Portrait ready
- There's a nice glassy/ripple effect on the start menu
- All of the system colours have been adjusted to suit
- Looks great in WM2003/WM5/WM6/WM6.1
- Really suite the HTC Diamond's looks

Not everyone likes TF3D, I eventually got annoyed with it because the home page doesn't show tasks at all and seems buggy when it comes to displaying calendar entries. I've got nothing against TF3D, but at the end of the day I need a home screen that shows the necessities and anything that doesn't meet that basic requirement, no matter how pretty it is, is useless.

However... can you make a theme with black glossy 3D Bars, like the grey you've posted?

1: I've not actually disabled TouchFlo 3D, as that image was captured from the Windows Mobile Device Emulator, as you can see in the screenshot, so it's not running an HTC rom with TouchFlo 3D in it.
2: I have not only disabled TouchFlo 3D on my actual Diamond, I have flashed a new rom to it without the blasted thing even installed, as I find it an irritating waste of RAM and ROM. There are things i'd much rather use my system RAM for than some pretty interface. As the guy above has stated, it is lacking in several key areas, and is such quite useless for more advanced users such as myself.

I don't quite understand what you mean here... Do you want me to make a theme with the same background, but with the upper and lower bars in gloss black?

Yota TouchFlo 3D Skin

Can someone more clever than me please create a Yota TouchFlo 3D skin.
I did a mock up in photoshop of what it could look like and provided Yota icons I could find.
Obviously some icons will need to be created from scratch or use the existing ones and modify them (eg SMS, MAIL, WEATHER, SETINGS etc). The icons need to match so need to be silver in colour and 3D block looking (deep).
Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Good idea. I had a similar idea to make a scin for icontact and idealer. I have made it. If i had this icons then... I was searcing for hours to get them.

Really hope someone can make this touchflo skin. It will make all interfaces consistant with yota contact and touchflo.

You're understanding my statement wrong The original thread was to do that. I was telling people to do the opposite since it would be easier.

s2u2 Preview:
*not everything is shown (one wallpaper, some of the buttons/sliders)*​
INSTRUCTIONS:
-- backup original s2u2 gfx file if you wish to keep the original skin
-- unzip the qvga or vga gfx folder from the .zip file attached depending on your devices resolution
------ (excluding wallpapers, vga works with wvga and qvga works with wqvga)
-- there are different styles of unknown and nopicture callerid wallpapers, buttons, sliders and wallpapers within the zip
------ choose the one you want to use and name it to the correct filename (arrows.png, buttons.png, buttonl.png, wallpaper.jpg, nopic.png, unknown.png)
-- copy/move the gfx folder into your s2u2 folder and overwrite originals
-- you will want to disable the bottom bar and topbar in settings, and it would probably look best to disable the s2text for the dialer screens too in the lang file
FAQ:
Q: Are the call buttons/sliders hardcoded into a particular incoming caller wallpaper?
A: No, use whichever unknown or nopic wallpaper I have included, select either slide2end, slide2answer or simple answer and end buttons in s2u2 settings and you will see the sliders/buttons/wallpapers work independently from one another

I havent been able to test all aspects of the VGA version, but it should all work

DIALER INSTRUCTIONS:
-- first note that it is a QVGA skin, i dont know what the most popular VGA dialer is
-- unzip cab from zip attached
-- uninstall any previous versions of opal phone canvas if you have them installed
-- install the cab to device, not storage card
DIALER KNOWN ISSUES:
-- Not everything is skinned in the dialer, and there may be some issues as it is impossible for me to test everything
That being said, I tested everything I could, and I cannot find any skin-related issues
I tried my best to skin everything but there are over 200 files so it may be that I missed some
-- Also, I am still working on how to change the font color for smart dialing portion of the opal phone canvas

it is the opal phone canvas, and I think its done by registry keys but the cab I used didnt install any

This theme will *only* work if you are running WM6.5!!​
INSTRUCTIONS:
-- download the .zip attached
-- unzip the folder "files to put in windows directory" somewhere so you can look inside it
------ the Titanium_240x320.cpr file fixes the date issue mentioned above, and the StartMenu_GridScene_240x320.cpr will change your start menu from 3 to 4 columns
-- choose which files you want to copy to your device, and do so
-- soft reset
------ you will not see the changes until you soft reset
KNOWN ISSUES:
-- some of the graphics of the lock screen have not been skinned, like the locked dialer for example
when I get more time I will skin these as well
Also, I was going to make a cab, but figured not everyone will be using titanium weather and may not want some files or 4 column start menu etc.
If cab is requested by some of you, I will make one, but its a pretty simple installation anyway

yeah i like the notifications too, agreed on the slider, gotta fix up the edges and the white lock icon.. forgot to do that before i flattened it and uploaded the preview
i think i will do multiple colors, but i am not sure how to implement other colors (should multiple backgrounds with one dominant color, or one background with a melding of multiple colors?)
i agree blue is overused, but to be honest, its my favorite color! and microsoft uses it a LOT (maybe i will bring in some cyan/very blue green as that is the color scheme in vista?)

qvga is a definite as my device is qvga
this is gonna be my first theme where i attempt to do ALL RESOLUTIONS!
wvga, vga, wqvga, qvga
we will see how it goes, its gona be hard to test and honestly i wish i had a vga device (i have qvga, which means i can guess what wqvga would look like.. but i have no idea what vga/qvga will look like on device or how to position things in xmls cuz i cant test)
so please.. anyone with an old vga device, send it my way!
or if anyone knows a really good emulator.. i am using microsofts sdk, but it doesnt look good/right

i would love for people to build roms with these graphics, i think that would be amazing
for vogue roms at least i am going to ask NFSFAN if he would be willing to use my graphics in a rom, or allow me to use his rom with my graphics.. hopefully he agrees!
