Is she Dead? - Wing, P4350 General

Flashing my Wing. Loading stopped at 80 something percent. Then froze. Message popped up about recovery. Wing was in boot loader. Then the screen went black and hasn't come back on. Been 2 days now. Is my baby dead or just in a coma?

Can you get to the bootloader screen at all? Tried hard reset? Flash from card?

No, I get nothing. Black screen of death!

Does it reponse to when you charge it? Usually the orange led will light up when you charge it.

I had that problem today actually, press camera button and commanager button together and then press the reset button with the stylus still holding the other two buttons. Not all of them at once!

OK! She's awaken from her coma but now all she wants to show me is the boot loader screen. I know there is a way to flash from here but the option escapes me...
What now?

Mytouch keeps going back to fastboot screen

Hello, I recently got a mytouch3g from my friend and it is stuck on the screen with the 3 androids at the bottom. I think this screen comes up when pressing vol down and power. Well, I tried to reload the factory firmware using the sappimg.nbh file, and it said OK for all the steps, but it just keeps going back to the white screen with the 3 androids. Any help please?

This might sound like a stupid suggestion, but have you checked if your volume down button is stuck? If so, every time you press the power button, its going to take you to the fastboot screen.
Lmao. Thanks. I did check that, but it is not stuck. The problem is I dont even know if someone tried to root it or not. It just keeps going back to that screen.
If its rooted, more than likely it will have a recovery image such as CM-Recovery 1.4 or RA_recovery 1.5.2, etc. Try powering down, then press home + power button for a couple seconds and release.
Thanks for the reply. I tried what you said but it goes back to the same white screen with 3 green androids at the bottom. I dont even want this rooted. Just back to normal.

Another thread of "My G1 won't start"

hello all, i need help again this time.
let's get to the point.
this morning, i tried to charge my G1 because the battery has yellow color.
when i charged the phone, after around 5 minutes, suddenly my G1 restart itself and then after the "G1" logo, the screen go all black, sometimes not all black but there's a little glitch (white-green-purple-all little colors.)
the phone got heated on the bottom part everytime i power-on it, even just on battery (not charged).
i tried "Camera + Power", it's only getting to that red-blue-green-white screen that shows :
"DREA100 PVT 32B
HBOOT - 0.95.0000
CPLD-4
Radio-2.22.23.02
Sep 2 2008
Serial0"

and it stops there for AGES . won't do anything.
i tried "Home + Power", i tried to hold down that two buttons for 25 second more, but it keeps normal boot, shows G1 logo, and then black screen again.
i tried "Menu + Power", it just the same as "Home + Power"
my G1 has never been rooted, it's all original, i haven't done any system upgrading-downgrading things.
the charger is the original one, original from htc
the battery is new, i've just changed it one month ago.
that's all the informations that i can give.
so, anyone can help me solving this problem?
if its not rooted or anything than that means its HTC's fault not yours. and since you cant access the recovery menu to flash a new rom or recover a nandroid backup, it sounds like you're up ****s creek with a turd for a paddle.... unless somebody has developed a way of flashing without recovery. in other words; get a new phone or send it in to t-mobile.
Get an SD card reader an put a DREIMG.nbh on your sdcard to downgrade to RC29 (push power+camera, select confirm), then wait for the OTA to push you to DMD64. You will loose all your data but at least your phone will work.
Alternatively, after downgrading to RC29 you can exploit the bluetooth bug to gain root access, and after that install CM5.0.8 and be twice as happy with you chunky old G1.

okay, i think i'll try this one.
just another information, i've tried another combination of buttons, such as hold down together "Call + Menu + Power" and then slide quickly to Home button, but it's giving no effect too

Call+Menu+Power is for a reboot while the phone is on lol. Only other way is "blue light mode" which is trackball and power, but I don't feel like explaining it to you=p.

Nothing is supposed to happen unless you have a JTAG afapter. And why the hell post in two different forums?

wow, i guess JTAG Adapted would be another long explanation, huh?
yes i made two posts. You know that sometimes, some people prefer to go to just specific thread/subforum, ignoring the other thread/subforum.
but who know if that people can help me?
hey, i'm back.
after days to days downloading DREAIMG.nbh again and again, finally i got the right DREAIMG.nbh, not corrupted one.
and yes, i successfully update, all stuff are signed "OK" , and then i press the action (trackball) button, restart the phone, and guess what? it turns back to the beginning problem, still. "G1" logo, and then turn to whole black screen.
so, now what?
am i bricked?
or is it hardware problem? (remember i said that everytime i turn on the phone, the down part, near sim card, is always getting heated)
the only screen that can be accessed is that rainbow screen and the update screen (Camera + Power).

im pretty sure the heat issue comes from the processor, not the sim card. mine does that too. its nothing to worry about as long as you havent overclocked your device (mine is overclocked and works great aside from gettin warm during heavy usage.) what happens when you plug the phone into usb? does it show the SD card or can you get into the android sdk? its a long shot as i doubt you can get into debug mode without having a uncorrupted os, but i guess its worth a shot.

the phone can't get into the home screen, it's always going blank after Tmobile-G1 logo.
so when i plug the phone into usb, it's just charging, no SD card recognizing on my computer.
And how can i get into Android SDK ?
Google is your best friend.

[Q] Can't soft reset

Please forgive me if this has been posted. I searched but could not find or I am using the wrong things to search by.
When ever I perform a soft reset the phone vibrates 6 times and then does nothing. The LED light is a solid green, but the phone does not power back on. I have to pull the battery to get it to work. However, I can power off the phone and power back on with no problems. Any ideas what is going on?

I know you probably do not want to hear this but sounds like you might need to do a Hard Reset.

Tried that and it did not work. I actually came across this problem while trying to HSPL my phone. When I ran HSPL3 and the phone attempted to boot into bootloader it would shut off and when it turned back on I got the 6 vibrations and the solid green light and no tri color screen.
So I loaded bootloader on my own, flashed HSPL3 and then flashed custom ROM. All was working fine until I had to softrest due to an app instal. When the phone reset it did it again with the vibrations and green light. I had to pull battery and then power on.
Thought maybe a bad flash or bad HSPL, so reverted back to stock via SD card and on stock ROM I took back cover off and reset via the yellow button and same thing.
The weird thing is that in boot loader mode at the top of the screen in capital letters it says "SECURITY UNLOCKED". Saw this before I tried HSPL. This is a warrenty replacement phone and my original did not say that.
I can power off and power back on with no problems and that is what I will do, but it bothers me that soemthing else may be wrong with thsi replacement phone that I don't know of.

Attempted 3.2 update, now it's bricked

The update downloaded and I tried installing it.
It rebooted, showed the EEE Pad boot up screen forever.
I can turn it off by holding the power button for 10 secs. But it comes back on after 3 seconds showing the same screen.
I've looked up the unbricking threads but couldn't find anything that works.
Any help? Thanks
Define "forever". Because forever usually means an infinite amount of time.
Usually rebooting while it is at that screen is a HUGE no no.
it may have been your fault.. it gets into a boot screen and takes almost 5 minutes u may have been impatient

No, it was more than 25 mins.
Usually still a bad idea to reboot it at that screen. You will probably need to contact Asus.
25 minutes is too long, if theres no way to revive it call asus they will rma

Did you try holding power and up for 6 seconds, plugging it into a computer (windows) and seeing if it comes up apx?
If it does, you're fine.

Tried that, nothing happening in windows.
It's not bricked. .m having theme problem. When you press power again hold down volume and power and top left you'll see some white letters don't press anything and it will say press up or down. Do not press the button to wipe. I can't remember if it was up or down. Let everyone know if that works.
Find the thread to flash it with nvflash. Just flash the stock ROM onto it and you'll be set.
Okay after lots of trial and error I manage to get into APX.
Does anyone know what to do so I can restore the boot?
IF you got it 2 days ago, then return it or exchange it.

Yeah, I'll do that if my recovery attempts fail.
Update: Used nvflash to put back the stock image.
Everything transferred and installed fine. It rebooted, got to the set up screen.
(Smile on my face) then ...
the touch screen is totally unresponsive.
Factory reset the tablet.
i had that problem, did WIPE and the transformer rebooted with the new update.

Thanks guys but how do I do a factory reset without going into the HC settings? I cannot use the Android software-wise at all to get to settings - let alone get past the registration screen.

Just hold the power button down until the TF shuts off and goes black screen...then turn it back on.
IF that does nothing, re-NV flash....I had to do mine 3 times before it took last night. (download a fresh copy of NV flash also...the one that's "prepackaged with a stock rom" in it.

Phone not booting correctly but is still on

So i once took my phone to charge before going to bed and the next morning the screen was just black and the phone was "dead". The screen was black, nothing reacting. Rebooting was possible, but screen still black. I went through a whole night trying to figure out whats wrong and lastly i flashed the stock rom using the recovery tool and accidently ended up locking the bootloader with a non working screen.
Today the replacement screen arrived, i connected the new one, restarted the phone and still its just the screen lighting up a few seconds then turning off as soon as the redmi should appear. It does look like its not the screen but still something in the software. Is there anything i can still do to rescue the phone or is it just dead?
greetings

Try going into the stock recovery mode through hardware buttons (Hold Vol+ and Power) and try and factory reset.
