BT Totalbroadband Software..! - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Message to programmers.....
As you may know BT launched BT Anytime back in march (08), Unfortunately some d??k head in bt decided to launch this system with the HTC s620 & HTC s710 handsets only, as you guys are aware us users along with HTC have moved on since these handsets were launched back in 2006... So my question is can any off you programmers take the BT software in the S260 and recode it to work with the diamond...?
Message to all BT Total Broadband users...
If you like myself cannot adjust back to the format of the S620 then please sign this page offering a minimum donation of £5, e7.50 or $10 and hopefully we can put enough donations together to tempt one off the guys here to get the BT system working on the Diamond... Thanks for your help guys...!
P.s I personally will start Donations @ £50.00's

hmmmmm yeah that would be good , i mean the handsets that they offer are good , but now looking a tad out dated.
myself like you are also a bt total broadband user and would like to use the software on my diamond.
i would be willing to donate to this as well
come on guys the gauntlet has been presented before you !!!!!

ROM Upgrade for XDAII - news??

Does anyone have an update from O2 on the availability of the ROM upgrade for BT profiles? It's been nearly 3 months that they've been saying "any day now ...."!
Hey, i know how you feel. Ive only had my XDA2 since the end of February and its driving me nuts waiting for a ROM update to fix the Bluetooth problems...
by the way, how do you know the ROM update WILL actually fix the Bluetooth in the XDA2 ? have you read it somewhere ? :?
Yes, you do have a point there :?
O2 backup and support for XDA is useless
O2 is haphazard at the least in its updates and general support for the XDA well at least in the Uk they are so dont hold your breath.
The new website for example is a nightmare for getting information out of and as for support on the phone they pass you to xda warranty repairs.
have you tried pocket bluetooth tools? (http://www.angeltowns.com/town/bluetooth/) i THINK it claims to fix the BT stack problems. . . but i'm not so sure . . . maybe you dont have to wait for an upgrade =)
hope this helps.
Cheers,
Carlo
bluetooth tools works ok, its the only way i can get my gps to work
Pocket Bluetooth tools works fine, but it doesnt let me use the Bluetooth to send files or phonebook contacts as theres no profiles for it to happen in the current version.
I emailed the author about a month ago and didnt get a reply. I emailed him again last week and got an automated email saying he was on vacation until the end of March.
Im starting to wonder if he's having problems with his next version which he said he'd like to support file and contact transfers.
I doubt he is having problems, bearing in mind its a free program and takes many many hours of programming and effort I would assume he is a busy man. Even the makers of Navman suggest using his path which leads me to believe that he could charge a lot of money for his programming skills. It would be much better if O2 addressed the problem instead taking into account the fact that they released a crippled and brain damaged product to market.
Amen
I spent 3 hours installing 1.60 last night and reconfiguring the machine. Does it improve anything for headset and handsfree profiles? No. bog all. Handshaking with a CK3000 is now even worse.
Waste of b****y time.

How to fix stereo effect on 2.02.t1?

How do I fix stereo effect on 2.02.t1?, i read somewhere that stereo effect on a merged 2.02.t1 and 2.06 was fixed..... but how so i fix it without having to resort to merging roms? TIA
no luck?
stereo effect
I have the same problem with my xda 2 running win mobile 2003 se I am irritated in ysing my phone like a walkie talkie to stop the echo
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
XDAII
I spent days figuring this one out...
Bottom line.. Buy an XDAIIi from Imate when they come out in April!!
Seriously, 2.02 - 2.06 merged, hacked, 2.02 plain or 2.06 plain or EVEN installed while I have a finger up my DAM nose will always have the stereo affect while in HANDS FREE MODE...
Hands free mode is needed to have caller ID, or car kit or even a properly functioning BT headset that needs to run in Hands free mode, (like the Jabra BT800)...
Now 2.20 translated DOES work but there is a few bugs like a few unimportant folders have a square for a name and the Internet and Work network settings need to be renamed and cleaned up...
Also, the BT hands free does work BUT, the caller ID does not work all the time, when you receive a phone call on the other line, the stereo thing comes back and you have to put the caller on hold, then resume, then click on Tools and Hands Free Off, then Tools Hands Free On to clear it up.
I am using the Dr's Extended ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16880 with 2.20... I have tried deleting the Extended ROM, (no extra stuff), and doing a hard boot to see if my Hands free problems were from the XDAIIi-XDAIIs custom extended ROM from the Dr. was causing the problem.. It was not... I had the same problems with the raw 2.20 ROM...
To help with the upgrade, use this so you do not have to re-install EVERYTHING.. http://spritesoftware.smirnov.hosting.co.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1370
As for me,, I am done.. I am going to wait for i-mates version of the XDAIIi..
Here is my ***** from another post.. I think you might enjoy it..
"I just wish these DAM manufacturers and fricken resellers like HTC and O fricken 2 would support their dam products.. It should not be so [email protected]^@^ing difficult to get SAME features that most FREE, cheap little phones have.. I mean we have the most complex, "advanced", powerful phone in the world right? But the free phones with BT that they give you with a one year contract, actually WORK, have BT voice dial, HAVE NO BUGS OR PROBLEMS! That is just not right. We pay a lot of money for a phone that needs to be hacked to make it work right...
It takes us, a combined group of people, to try and make the dam phones work right.. It is their job and they suck!
With that said, I would like to spend some time to say;
FU#* YOU O2, IPAC, and all the rest....
And a DOUBLE F#$K YOU TO HTC, Broadcom-Widcomm and Microsoft!!!!
I have spent a lot of time trying to make things work right. If they would support their products, I could of spent my time on other things... They raped me!"

Bluetooth issues

hello,
ok, can the g1 send pics bluetooth? i didnt see an option, and when my wife tried to send a pic blue tooth to me it wouldnt go.. it paired the phone but could not send pics.
rooted g1/hardspl/rc33 1.41
This is as close to a FAQ as it can get.
No, it can't. Current version of Android (at least those available to us mortals) only support headset/hands free BT profiles.
/Mats
ah, i c... thats' kinda crapy, considerin this phone can do almost every thing except wipe for me..... well... thanx for lettin me know!
When the G1 was released, the BT part of Android wasn't completely finished. so instead of releasing something potentially buggy. the BT functionality was stripped down to a bare minimum. Before its release. it was even rumored not to have any BT at all!
I believe the next version (Cupcake) will improve on the current situation.
/Mats
wow, that's actually kind of lame.... i guess i'd rather not have a super buggy phone, but i would use the BT to transfer pics alot with the behold, till i got this one....
well i hope they do fix it !
again thanx for info!
What you are discussing here is THE SINGLE reason why my G1 will be going on ebay very shortly. It is really annoying not being able to send/receive files as well as not being able to use my bluetooth headphones (paid £70 6days before I got my G1) to listen to music.
The BT stack (bluez) can do it.. there's just no UI for any of it, which is a shame.
I suspect it's because it originates in the US where they don't use BT much.. the iphone has the same issue.

Click to collapse
That' what you get for not doing your home work before you buy.

AD2P
AD2P is already in lined up in the cupcake devel from my understanding; The G1 is well worth the wait to use my BT headphones .

Fix for Voice Activation Program on Omnia II?

I think I'm in the right section, if not let me know.
Just 3 things - I'll start with the most important:
1) Donate -
How do I donate to this site? I tried the donate link but it gets me to a site that is not in English. I can understand most of what to do but would feel more comfortable with it in my language since I unfortunately only read English. (And I'd love to get one of those cute stars on my name)
2) Fix for voice command so all audio goes through bluetooth headset -
Just bought an omnia ii and desperately need a voice command program that works with it so I can get all audio going through my bluetooth (BlueAnt). I'm a community and union organizer in LA and dialing on the road safely or hearing my GPS instructions through the headset is essential. I got the voice command from microsoft even though it is not completely compatible but there was nothing else out there for the omnia ii.
And I can't get tech support since it hasn't launched in the U.S. yet.
3) Not to worry if no one has an answer to this since - I still want to donate since I already got a great fix for screen rotation from here that works like a charm and love the communal cooperation here. Thanks and hope this isn't too long.

rSAP for Desire

Hello all
I have HTC Desire and a VW with BT Premium Kit, which only supports rSAP.
I have been looking into forums for an application which can enable rSAP on Desire, but I have been unsuccessful in my searches.
Some say that this is working for Android 2.1 Update 1, but I was not able to pair the devices.
Does anyone have this working?
Is there any Android Apps Developer who is willing to try to do this?
Thanks
my desire works well with my VW BT
i can dial and have my contacts available
the only thing which is not working is sms
rSAP
Can you please tell me how you did it?
My VW detects my phone, but says always "phone not compatible" or something like that.
Did you get it working on the first try? Do you have RNS510?
What SW do you have on your desire?
rSAP
Ragardin rSAP for VW i can say the following:
It's not working
If u have new VW (i have Golf mk6) with new RCD/NCD 510 multimedia and u have bluetooth kit for mobile phone, Desire will not be able to be found by your/mine media system, coz android haven't this stupid rSAP protocol. I can't explain how mad I'm now about this. It has more than 10 protocols for BT, but not rSAP.
So i bought Desire today and turned it back in store 30 mins ago. This is extremely good device, but without rSAP its useless for me...
I took HD2 and i will turn it back as well btw
I hope that some1 could tell us, is the rSAP support hardware option or software. If its hw option - than it sucks...
Dear friends, please, follow the link:
http :// code .google .com
and add stars to "Issue 4402: rSAP / Sim access bluetooth profile"
Hope this action could help us.
android rSAP
yes, I already starred this issue with rSAP. It is soooo frustrating - having 2 perfect devices, desire and passat with handsfree, and they cannot speak together - really frustrating. Old parrot handsfree had no problems!
If anyone has a solution, please let us know.
are there any news on rSAP development ?
I have hope that some smart developer will figure it out, how to add it to andorid....
Best regards!
maybe this could be helpful for a developer:

Regards!
I am wondering why there is absolutely no response on rSAP development discussions?
Is it because no developer has a clue what needs to be done and if there is (even a tiny) chance to develop rsap support for Desire or is it just the lack of any interest from the side of the developers?
I am sure a lot of people would actually buy the app or upgrade that would enable this feature, so interest should be there...
I guess the main reason why nobody has written an app so far is that the necessary funtions for accessing the SIM card are missing in the Android RIL interface. So it will never be possible to write a universal rSAP app for all Android mobiles. Apart from that basic problem there are some other smaller obstacles to master. And of course you will need root access, at least to install the necessary files.
I did some reengineering on the HTC RIL lib and found a way to access the SIM card on the HTC Magic and probably on the Desire. I guess the other HTC mobiles should work too.
Next I've written a test app running on my HTC Magic that implements the rSAP protocol. It was working with an old 2G SIM card before the card expired. I tested it with a Nokia 616 and with a VW Passat. But now I'm having problems with my 3G (UICC) card. Currently I'm still not sure if I get it running but I'll keep on trying.
thank you for your answer and efforts. at least there is some hope that this will work until I sell my car...
did you use some of the Galaxy S libs?
please, keep us informed on the development!
Best regards!
No, I don't have a Galaxy.
Of course I'll let you know when I have it running. But it will take a few weeks at least.
HI rsap.
That sounds like great job!
If it worked on Magic, it would probably work on Dream/G1 as well, am I right?
If it does, would you help me out with it?
Thanks a lot in advance
it would be amazing, if you'd be able to achieve this =)
and i'm sure, people will pay or at least donate for this app! (me included)
thanks in advance!
Another user posted in this forum "Samsing just made the sourcecode (search: Samsung releases Captivate source code) so there seems to also be a ZIP file for the GT-I9000 (European Samsung Galaxy S)."..maybe this could help you further.
Regards!
I will donate!!!
i want RSAP also , any body have the solution yet? i know it works on Samsung Galaxy S but know i have htc Desire HD it only works us hand free profile!!!!
Regards!!
RSAP where are you? Any news?
You should check again the compatibility, with audi a4 mine hasn't been working but with the 2.29.405.2 it's like charm. Sends pb, received dialled calls and everything. Excellent.
It's still not working but I don't give up hope...
I know enough about the RSAP protocol, the HTC RIL lib and SIM cards. If there is someone out there who knows something about the HTC radio software, especially the AT commands it would be helpful. I could not find anything useful in the net.
Works again on my Magic! I need some time to clean up the software port it to Desire (and other HTCs) and make it installable.
I'll let you know!
WOW! Well done!
Would it be portable to G1 (Dream)?
Please, let me know.
Thanks a lot
