Do You know any app which can backup and restore email accounts settings? I don't want to do a backup of anything more than email settings...
I don't think there is a tool that "only" backs up E-Mail Settings. (even it would be nice)
But as far as I know, most backup Tools can be customised to at least restore only some of your data. (in this case you e-mail settings)
Here, a link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416689
I got SPB Backup and indeed it have in customized backup option 'Emails' but it seems to me that it only do a backup of messages in email folders. I am not sure if it also do a backup of settings of email accounts...
Maybe Makisu works for you..
Makisu is some kind of a solution but with that I have to set up accounts again and I don't want that. I have already set up accounts and I don't want to touch that

Hey All,
Just bought a T-Mobile MDA with Windows Mobile 5.0 on it. In the default messaging program, I noticed an issue when downloading messages via POP3.
It can best be explained at the link here.
My question is if there is a way to solve the issue and still download full emails and not just the headers. Also, it should be noted that even if you perform the solution that Palm suggests (download headers only), you still will have your emails disappear after you download the full email and then do another Send/Receive.
Any registry fixes, patches, or whatever that will allow me use the default messaging client? I actually like the UI and functionality. Just can't live with this one major bug.
Thanks,
Tuyen
Currently my best solution as following:
1. Use Sprite backup to do full device backup (if you wanna recover clean and complete system you used to know)
2. Use Spb backup(or some other backup app) to backup only email accounts/database (for urgent/immediately backup missing pop3 accounts)
Note: Use software to do soft reset does NOT help preventing missing your pop3 account
this problem is discused in _many_ threads here.
You can set up that outlook should download the header and x kbytes of the message. choose "999" kbytes to download ; )
my solution: create a free exchange account at http://live.mail2web.com/ and push the mail from your mail address to there. then sync the exchange account over WLAN with your device. its also a backup of your contacts and addresses...
Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me where in the registry the email accounts are stored. I restored from spb backup and for some reason I had to reset up my email accounts, the problem is that some of my programs such as pocketbreeze are still picking up the old email accounts that I orgianally had setup. I would just like to know how to delete these accounts. I went to the options in messaging but those accounts from before I restored from the backup do not appear. any help would be much appreciated
Hi, i've already used the search button, but i don't find a way to backup my outlook settings, i've 5 mails accounts, and after every hardreset is a little bit annoying to reput the settings of each account. there is a way to backup and restore my emails account? i'm already using sprite backup but it restore the mails no settings..
bye bye
did you ever find the answer? I need it too.
Good Afternoon Streakers,
I am keen to upgrade to Froyo and will be doing so (my notification has arrived) just as soon as I find out how I can backup my gmail and outlook notes.
How do I backup other application user data also ?
I know DELL backup and restore app will do everything else but I need to backup my emails and data created by apps
Anyone know how to do this ?
Many Thanks
I have heard that MyBackup Pro works great. I actually used it to backup my HD2 but have not been able to restore yet because I cant get my Streak until Saturday. There was an option for Data backup as well.
As for gmail, your gmail account is already backed up by google servers. Not sure what you mean by this?
You can also back up your Contacts, SMS, MMS, and Call Log with an app called "SMS Backup+" right to your gmail account, they will have their own folders and you can set it up to backup automatically as new data arrives on your phone.
May I ask how you received your update? Aren't they not coming out until January 2011?
How do you backup non Gmail accounts? Can not find anywhere? I am tired of re-entering the data. SPB Backup (windowes mobile) did a fine job with contacts and Email, not Email's but accounts POP, IMAP etc. Any other program like that. Have tried all the other backups and no go!
Any help appreciated,
