You sure notice that the diamond normally lock the screen after very short time while performing phone call!
please let me know how can i dismiss or reduce that operation

I can not record phone call with the diamond becouse every time the diamond lock during phone call the voice recording application stop working and cut the call recording when the diamond lock it self!!!

there's no executable, the cab probably adjusted some registry settings.
check and see (after a soft reboot) if it works when making a call...

Smart dialling is gone after BigStorage upgrade. Please - how can I get it back. I have installed the IntelliDialer, but it did not help...

Yes I did, no sign of Smart dialling...
I saw some screenshots somewhere with an options menu where you can turn smart dialing on, but I could not find such a menu...
The bigstorage is a good thing, but the smart dialling was better
afaik Smart dialing is a seperate application. I might be wrong though

i have a problem installing the file i downloaded.
i put the cab on the device and ran it from device.
i get: <the file "\windows\iacontacts.dll" is in use or is in rom...> error....
any advice on what i am doing wrong?
i run wisbar but tried it without wisbar and got same.

unfortunately I'm a total noob at this. So dunno the answer. But I presume you've tried soft reset and then installing the cab imediately. The cab I used was "Default_SmartDialing_Magician_RC13.CAB". This cab worked fine for me, no probs.
Other than that you'll have to wait for one of the experts round here to help you out. Sorry.

I have a cingular 8525 with the default cingular ROM ( will change it later want to wait a litle while)
I am trying to install a Cab and i get this notification:
the installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions
I know this is a simple registry hack and i seen a couple but I have not seen anything specific to hermes.
Please give me a link to directions

I read some more posts and found that making sure processes are not running might solve the problem.
I went to memory and stoped all programs and I sitll can't install the: CommButton-Toggle-Vibrate-Fix.CAB
Are there like system processes which are not showing up in memory - running programs ? Maybe I need to get into those and stop them?
Any other sugestions?
Please point me into the right direction.

Purely on the point of running processes - these will not show up in programmes in memory (except in very broad terms). An application such as sktools will show running processes.
(I am not saying this will solve your problem though)

As a general rule, if I have an "unstoppable" process, I power cycle the phone and then execute the cab without opening ANYTHING else (like the comm manager in this case). Give it a shot.

Finaly got what I wanted
I never got the stupid cab to install, but I found a different cab which let you assign vibrate to anything ( http://www.8525software.com/)utilities so when i hold PTT button it switches to Vibrate

of any WM6.1 Samsung SGH-i780...
Unfortunately, only application shortcuts may be assigned (namely no <command> commands)
any chance to change the hold red button? ive been wanting to remove the keypad lock and change it into s2u2.. so far no software can do that

Can You post that changed cab (of course with TB_TB_ premission)? I have also problem with installation (lack of permission). Maybe it`s a problem with my official I1 WM6.1 ROM?
I have found that Your CAB can be installed, but there is some conflict with RealVGA, becouse without RealVGA it instals and run properly, but after instaling RealVGA system don`t permit to install it.. Weird..

I'm also getting the permission error whenever I try this. I'm using EFN's 96DPI 5.0 Standard ROM. How do we fix that? I would really love to be able to change the End Key Hold short cut to point to the regular task manager 'cause the Samsung Task Manager looks funny when used on a 96 DPI ROM.

This is a cab file of clean install + uninstall version of the official working:
HTC HD fix for on-screen-sliding on calling.
the official fix is an exe + checking some stuff. I disasm and looked into if there are some other hidden necc. informations in dll's. but nothing more is needed.
here my version is a "clean install cab"
Q&A:
Q:What is inside of this cab installer ?
A: There are only 2 dll's which will be copied to \windows.
The files are: "phcanhtc.dll" and "rilphone.dll".

A: Yes, the uninstall only remove this 2 dll's and after reboot the original ROM files will be inplace.

Thanks for doing this cab file. I had a few problems with the official exe file. It would not install saying that it needed the correct version.
The original was not very good. I kept cutting off incoming calls. Hopefully all will now be well.

Thanks for the file. I tried it but it seems that i´m doing something wrong. I have installed and uninstalled the file but I still can´t install the hotfix for the display flicker. it says still that it is not the correct version.

No. It fixes the slow response to the slider for answering calls. Installed it yesterday and I personally have seen a great improvement in response.

You may try to install the "Advanced Configuration Tool" from which you can change the default delay of 2-3 secs and make it less than 1.
If anyone else knows the registry key that defines this delay, please publish the information.

Sometime's i have a biotouch.exe error. Most times it comes when i recieved a sms. What to do ?
Is there a setting when somebody is calling me wm6.5 is now automatic saving the phone number. Is it posible to turn this option off ?

Hi internetuser2004, the biotouch.exe depends on which rom you are using, from what I can read are you using a wm 6.5 rom, and I'm almost sure that in that rom you do not have the cube, because the biotouch.exe is a program to launch the cube.
You can kill the biotouch.exe with a taskmanager or replace it for an empty biotouch.exe, just search on this forum, I'm pretty sure you'll find one.
About your other question, if I'm correct, when you open the dialer, you will find a menu-button on the right (bottom) and if you open that one you'll find options and there must be an option to turn it off.
I hope I pointed you in the right direction because I don't have a Nike at the moment, so if someone else can confirm this, it would be great.

Hoi Mark, I found an empty biotouch.exe for you, you have to instal it with total commander, it will not work with file explorer.
With file explorer the original will not be overwritten, with total commander isn't it a problem.
For the biotouch.exe and total commander cab see attachements below.
Sorry I can't help you with your other issue, maybe you should ask the chef from the wm 6.5 rom, if he can help you.
