Yeah but the interface is not drawn for VGA resolution, the whole menu looks pixelated and crap.

HAHA, on my mogul, it was a really cool program, now that I'm getting the diamond, I guess it's not all that hot anymore
Think Core player is the one to have.
Its plays almost all popular files.... except rmvb.
Sorry wrong place, too much windows opened!
native VGA support would help me to buy this wonderful player immediately.

Kinoma Play supports MPEG-4 Video SP and AVC/H.264 codecs, 3GPP (same as MPEG-4), Flash Video (Sorenson Spark codec), QuickTime Movie (same as MPEG-4) and Windows Media 9 (WMV9 codec) video formats. For streaming, Kinoma Play supports HTTP, RTSP, and MMS streaming.

OK and what about performance...it doesnt support QTV so Im interested about smoothness of playing standart unconverted *.avi videos...

Your right, I posted this thread before I had tried it on my Diamond, it looked awesome on my Hermes in its native resolution but on the Diamond, it looks pants. I'll wait for a true VGA version before I purchase this, the free one will do for now.
i downloaded the software by the link given in the first post, but when i start the player it wants to register. thought this was a free version ?!
Core Player vs. Kinoma Player
I do find that core player is an all in one package for almost all video formats. Though Kinoma is very good looking though not in VGA, core player is still the best so far.
Hope they could tweak it a bit further for it to utilize the built-in GFX accelerator ................... a wish that may not come true soooooon
Isn't this the old palm app, I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure my kids have this on their zodiack tapwaves (nice machine in it's day, great spec.) . Core player with diamond skin is unbeatable.

Yes, it has a nice built-in Orb client.

I downloaded the Kinoma Freeplay (do I need the full version : Kinoma play), I've installed it, and I lunch it, it ask for a product registration. I was thinking that the Freeplay version was free?

Are there any skins for WM Player or Coreplayer (is it skinnable btw) that will work with the X1? The VGA skins i tried doesn't show up in the skin tab...
Just search generally for WVGA-skins for WMP. A long amount of month ago I made an iPod-style one for WVGA for my G900, but do not have a link on my hand. Just search in myg900.com for skins, because the G900 has WVGA too.
I do not use the WMP because it needs extremly too much memory and slows down everything. I use the freeware MortPlayer with an own iPod-style-skin you also can find on myg900.com
Does anybody know of where to get skins for WMP on the Xperia. Due to the large screen estate the default skin looks really awful.

The skinned TCPMP is an older version but I am using it and it works awesome. Plays all my vids and music fine. No crashes at all. QVGA skinned.

problem is that subtitles plugin doesn't support tcpmp 0.71.and your skin is based onb tcpmp 0.71(player.exe of 2.5mb)

0.72 hasn't been skinned yet AFAIK. Perhaps someone can do it with info from the skinned version of 0.71 that I posted. I don't care about subtitles, but obviously they are very important for some people.

I have found this subtitles by another author. this should work in tcpmp 0.71.i tried in this skinned version but doesn't work!
can you try?if this subtitles are for 0.71, why doesn't work (or maybe problem is mine)

Anybody know of a homemade VGA skin for Minilyrics by Crintsoft? In my opinion this is the best Lyrics player for PPC. However they have not updated their PPC program in ages and they have ignored my requests to provide a VGA skin.
