Any Bluetooth Stereo A2DP Headset for Touch Pro? - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

Which headset will be best for this device that can perform all the functions on this phone?

Any A2DP headset should work with the Raphael.
Personally when my touch pro arrives I will be testing with a jabra bt320s (upgraded) and a Sony A2DP car stereo.
EDIT: using coreplayer ofcourse.
EDIT2: Both work fine.

One of my friend's headset had problem using the play, stop volume buttons on his TytnII. Thats why I thought I should make sure?

Iv got the sony dr-bt30q bluetooth headphones. dont know if you like them but they do the job all functions work. sound pretty good as well.

Got a pair of BT headphones that came with my laptop (Dell badged) - work very well, tested to around 20ft with no breakup.

Sony HBH DS 200 works fine
Hi,
I use the Sony Ericsson DS200 unit with a Sennheiser CX400 headphone set.
Works very well with the Touch Pro running Pocket Tunes (great ACC and itunes sync).
I have not used the full range of AVRCP features but the pause/resume works fine.
Regards, D

No problems with Plantronics Pulsar 590.

No problem with the Moto s9 (and I assume the s9 HD would work too). I'm using the HTC music player.

Sure? Because yes it works fine as a headset to listen music etc. but haven't seen it working as a telephone headset (i.e. speak to the mic or use the button to trigger voice tagged contacts)...

havent recieved my raphael yet, but for my other htc´s i use a Jabra BT620s and it works like a charm. certainly one of the most comfortable headsets i have ever had.

I have these
http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/cat1150057/cat5420035/prod5560014
and they work perfect with talking and with music. Sound great and comfortable too. I personally like the style and don't like buds but that is just me

Sony Ericson HBH-DS980. Love 'em!

Good to hear it'll work fine with my S9's when it arrives. Hopefully it'll play nice with my Moto S805's too... Will let you all know.

Sony DR-BT50 and Motorola S9 tested & working.

Hi, currently using a Plantronics 855 Voyager and it ROCKS. It works very well with the Touch Pro. Holding the button for 2-3 second calls up the voice manager, etc.

I have the Jabra BT3030 with my Touch Pro, works really well! All buttons work perfectly.
Really recommend replacing the headphones though, the ones delivered with the BT3030 really sucks.

Original Jawbone
Has anyone successfully got the original Jawbone to wirelessly stream audio from the Touch Pro?
For you others who stream with different bluetooth headsets, does the streaming automatically engage? Meaning, do you power on bluetooth and the headset and press play on a music player and automatically have streaming music?
I'd like to have all audio redirected to the headset or the option to switch between speaker and headset; anyone have any idea how to do this?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

A2DP Headsets
I use:
Plantronics Pulsar 590 - best receive properties, but big and looks like nerd headphone
Sony Erricson HBH-DS970 - quite small and earplugs close good, but bad receive properties, accu
Philips SHB6100/00 - stylic Headset, comfortable

Stereo Headsets with full AVRCP Support on Prophet

Having spend several hours searching for information on the extent to which various stereo headsets are fully supporting A2DP and AVRCP on the Prophet with the A2DP hack, and not really getting a clear overview, I thought it might be useful if a thread was started to list the headsets in common use with an indication of their capabiliteis. Hope people will contribute in providing a useful resource:
So here goes: I have a Globalsat BTH-820:
What's Working:
Note: Only tested with Media Player 10 (results may it seem differ with for example Pocket Music/Pocket Player)
-Once paired, connects with a 4 second press of the On-Off button.
-Next and Previous track buttons work.
-Volume Up and Down work (amplification is by the unit, not the PPC)
-With the Voice Command hack via BT, MS voice Command can be heard through the headset and replied to via the built-in mic
What's Not Working:
-Play/Pause. Audio can be paused and stopped remotely (the latter with the on-off/call answer button) but cannot be resumed without using the PPC.
-Voice Command initiation: Has to be initiated via a button on the pocket pc
Other Observations:
-Sound quality is pretty good so long as the pocket pc's volume is set at max and the BTH-820 volume control is used with restraint. Background noise becomes apparent when the BTH-820's volume is cranked up too far.
-No pauses, skips or breakup of signal if within range of the PPC. Signal strength is pretty good too (though I think primarily because the Prophet's bluetooth signal is particularly strong)
-Bass is good but treble is a little thin and metallic (I think in common with all MS BT Stack A2DP implementations and down to the poor SBC compression algorithm).
Note that the BTH-820 works perfectly on devices with the Widcomm BT stack. On the iPaq hx4700, for example, the sound is very good indeed.
Even the h6340 (running a slower OMAP processor than the Prophet) acquits itself very well
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Steve
Try use Pocket Music Player 4.2.6. All AVRCP function is worked.
Good to have a Thread like this by now. I want to buy the Motorola HT820 and i like to have good Bass - I friend of mine has got the Sony Walkman Mobile Phone with these awesome in-ear Headphones.
Does a BT Headset have the same/better Sound than a wired one ?
What about the Motorola ?
Battery drain?
How much more battery is drained when you listen to music with bluetooth compared to thru a normal "wire" from the phone to earplugs?
Thanks
Hi: I've not really attempted to keep track of battery drain. There's obviously the overhead of having Bluetooth on and the processing required to compress the audio for transmission. Nothing like as much as with WiFi on, though.
Regards,
Steve
I have:
Sony Ericsson HBH-610
Doesn´t seem to work at all :=(
Can´t get it to make me an offer to check the box for "use as wireless headset", got the option when I rightclick the icon, although it´s greyed out.
My guess is that this headset can´t be used for this, anyone who have it working?
I have the Plantronics Pulsar 590 and they work flawlessly with PocketMusic.
The track fades makes the whole experience a lot better....

Moto HT 820
AVRCP works with WMP, Pocket Player 2.72 and up with gen_wmhost.dll plug-in, PocketMusic 2.6.XXX. SOmetimes with WMP u do have to tap play|pause on the screen once to make it work from headphones.
Auto reconnects, however play|pause button also initialises connection.
Uptime: around 12.5 hrs of continious playback, whereas JAMin/display off, Bt on, GSM on, Non overclocked CPU, music from SD card/ stays for something around 7 hrs (6.5 when overclocked to 240).
Bluetake i-phono mini?
Hi,
I am looking to buy the Bluetake i-phono mini (a pain to get hold of in Australia  ). Has anyone tried to pair with this set of headphones (and what was the quality like?)

stevep,
I have the same bluetooth bth-820 and have the exact same issues with windows mobile media player.
But goddamn, sas90850 is completely right. Pocket music player solved all the issues. Play/pause now works, plus it has an equalizers and aac support.
----------------------------
Update 7/26/2006:
PocketMusic was just too resource heavy for my HTC Wizard. Even though my Wizard is overclocked at 264mhz, I still would get skipping, white screens and having to constantly reboot because of application freezes. PocketMusic doesn't work reliably with the Wizard.
I did however find another, lighter and arguably better player. PocketPlayer by Conduits.
First install version Pocket Player 2.8. AVRCP will not work until you install WMP plugin adapter 1.1. Everything works and it is awesome. The program has everything you need.
------------------------------
Pocket Player version 2.8
WMP plugin adapter 1.1
HTC Wizard (Cingular 8125)
Qtek OS 2.17.7.2
Globstat BTH-820 Stereo headset
I do own a Anycom BSH-100. Always skip every 20 sec. Never got it work with nothing.
Looking to change it.
Option.
Bluetake mini with they audio gateway
BlueAnt X5 (are they the same as the sonorix???)
Globalsat BTH-820 with BTA-830
if i could find an audio gateway
Jabra 620s
Motorola HT820
Any other suggestion would be welcome.

Hi: Downloaded Pocket Player 2.8 and can confirm that it works well with the BTH-820. I can recommend this combination: no pauses or dropouts on my JAMin.
I believe that Conduits are using sbc.dll for audio compression, so some sound quality issues do still exist, These can be compensated for to some extent by using the equalizer built in to Pocket Player. In the longer term I hope MS will re-visit this code: Broadcomm's (Widcomm) A2DP implementation produces much higher quality sound...
Cheers,
Steve

BengalBoy has a review of them and based on it, I ordered one from ebay. It's bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and AVRCP, so it should work with any device that supports it. It should be a week or so before I get it, but it looks like it will work fine if you have a device that supports it.

I just received mine from Expansys. I have an i-mate JAMin with i-mate's latest WWE ROM and smartmobile.se's version of the A2DP patch and I have used Windows Media Player and PocketMind's Pocket Music:
+ Sound quality is excellent!
+ Play/pause works.
+ Previous/next works as well.
- The display does not show song details.
Using the headset for phone calls works well and the display shows the caller ID. But the phone seems to be unable to use the headset for handsfree and wireless stereo at the same time as the phone doesn't want to switch back to wireless stereo once a phone call has ended. I have to go in to Bluetooth settings and mark the headset for wireless stereo again to switch back to music. I suspect this could be a problem with the "unofficial" support for A2DP on the Prophet and not the DS970.
I've succumbed and ordered a pair today.. looking forward to getting them working tomorrow/friday depending on the delivery time..
Need to get my head around the fixes for my m600 now...

Wireless refers to lack of wires between phone and headphones. The wires you have on the DS970 are just long enough to allow you to keep the receiver/remote in your shirt pocket, while you can keep the phone stuffed somewhere else . . . (no more embarassing questions about why those headset wires going down the front of my pants!)

One thing that kept me from buyin the headphones is exactly this: when you're wearing a shirt or coat, you can keep the DS970 in your pocket. but when you wear a t-shirt or sweater, you have nowhere to tuck them away, and they'll just be hanging on your chest, causing all sorts of complications when you bend over and all sorts of weird looks from passerbys...

I found that "hissing" is dependant on the headset used.
My plantronics have almost no hiss, while my cheap i-tech things have lots.
Anybody else have the option to compare different headsets?

Well so I have this magnificient Motorola headset S9 and I sucessfully paired it as a Hanfree and a Stereo headset
Everything is working perfect, except the fact that when I activate the voice tag (which usually with oter BT headset works perfectly) I cannot hear the beep telling me to say the voice tag and also I cant hear the confirmation (that the PDA understood what I said)
The voice tag DO work and if I am lucky it dials what I say but I can know only when someone pickup from the other side ....
when i dis-pair the stereo headset,it is working again.
I know it is not the most horrible problem reported in this forum, but if anyone can help....
How to play music via bluetooth device
I've got a set of Harman/kardon Soundstick II speakers and i wan't to play music wirelessly from my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6000 series) onto it i.e I don't wanna plug the speakers directly into the laptop.
I bought the Sony HWSBTA2W Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver and have managed to connect/link it to my laptop. The problem is however, how do you get a music program such as Windows Media Player to play music via the Sony device. I have managed to play music from my Nokia 6600 phone through the device successfully but am unable to play music from my laptop. The Sony device appears as a bluetooth headset in my list of bluetooth devices, but does not appear as a speaker on my laptop.
And oh yes, my laptop is wireless and bluetooth enabled.
Or Is there another wireless dongle or bluetooth item of some kind that i can plug my speakers into and will stream the music down from my laptop.

Best Bluetooth headphone with tytn ii ?

I would like to know what are the good headsets available for kaiser where the sound quality is great without any call drops and static and which is compatible with dutty's v3 .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I currently use the Blue Ant Z9 with Dutty's v2 (Medium) ROM. Works great.
And I would like to know what this has to do with Kaiser upgrades. C'mon guys, is it that hard to use the appropriate forum?
I have tried several headsets (sony 980, Motorola 820, and Jabra 8010) and have settled on using the jabra set as my primary set because it is more comfortable then the 820, and does NOT have drop issues like the sony 980. the moto set works verY well but i found the wrap around uncomfortable. I'm using Dutty's v2 currently.
Jabra 8040
Hi ,
I started using Motorla S9 , its one of the best bluetooth headsphone / handsfree i have used. The stereo quality is gr8 !! and even the handsfree is good even with little bit of noise around you . i recommed the S9!.
HTC S100's with a decent pair of headphones for me. (Usually my little B&O earphones, occasionally my big old Sennheisers)

jabra bt 620s here . I love it , don't have any problems. Only when I go by bike and the wind is blowing in mic when calling but that is to be expected.
The Jawbone is the best headset on the market IMHO. Works phenominally with the TILT.
I have 3 headsets. 2 of them are incredibly quiet, even at full volume. The 3rd is a Jawbone. It is actually painfully loud, but sounds great, to me and to the other person on the phone. I would go for that.
copied from previous post.....
I've used this headset for about a year, first with an Eten x500 and now with the tilt. Performance has been near perfect. On the tilt, I've never had a dropped signal while playing music, sound quality is decent, works with MS voice command. I don't know much about the manufacturer or support as I haven't had any issues with the device.
http://www.slashphone.com/106/3981.html
Another vote for the Jawbone. Works great. Also can attest to the performance of the Sony Ericsson HBH DS980 stereo headset. Works great as well...but you need the bluetooth extensions from JetWare to get it to do almost everything....phone book transfer doesnt work but everything else is there.
Brad
The S9
The Motorola S9 is extremely sexy and the Audio quality is great. I got mine off ebay (new, sealed for 40 bucks with ship), cause I was told they only come included with certain Motorola phones?
Anyway, that what I would recommend

Plantronics Voyager 855.
Better than the S9's I've had. Better than the HS820 headphones.
Awesome as a regular BT headset. Semi-noise reduction and even EQ sound as a stereo A2DP headset.

What's the best stereo Bluetooth Headset (A2DP) for HD?

Can anyone recommend something that already works well with HTC Touch/Pro?
Does Motorola S9 work with WM6 BT stack for stereo?
There are no good a2dp stereo headsets because the equalizer only works with wired headsets.. Htc: please fix this.
im using the sony stereo bluetooth headset hbh-ds980. works fine.. the volume for the music and for the phone calls are the same key but the headset keeps them programmed differently. so its nice. the onyl thing i saw that sucks is that it doesn't bring a clip to attach the receiver to your clothes.. so if you doing a lot of moving then its going to fly up and what not.. so thats annoying.. i took the clip from the standard HTC headphones that came with the phone and put it on the bluetooth and just slightly attach it to my shirt.
I'm using a Motorola S9 and it works perfectly. No problems at all, all buttons do work. Sound quality is very good!
One more vote for hbh-ds980. Been using it with polaris, diamond and HD. The music quality is quite good and functionality including addressbook and last calls access works fine.
The Motorola s9 HD's are out and the seem to have improved quite a bit. I personally have the regular s9's and they work great.
oh yea.. sry forgot to add.. haha. you can go into the recent calls list and into the phone book quite easily.. and have multiple devices hooked up at one time and get calls from them all..
the only problem is that i get the phone number instead of the persons name when they are claling me.. does anyone know why? the names show up when in the phonebook and everything..
Ok so not bluetooth but i use my sennheiser PXC 450, noise reduction...cant imagine better sound on the move
Sony DR-BT21G
I found an equalizer that works. The internal one in coreplayer.. Now nokia bh-903 bluetooth headset have bass and nice sound.

What is the best BT headset with A2DP and a mute button if there are any?
At the very least I am looking for a good BT headset for the Raphael that has a mute button. I constantly need to mute unmute my calls and I can't believe the Raphael doesn't have more side buttons. I have a fuze and am trying to program the PTT to do this but so far no luck. thanks for any info.
Plantronics Voyager 855
Plantronics Voyager 855 seems to have mute and a2dp. I might have found the answer
I love my Plantonrics Voyager 855.
It a great headset. Only issue is the boom on it feels kinda weak.
Sennheiser MM200
I got some with my sony wireless walkman, didn't realise they took calls too, freaked me out when my Boss' voice came through...
They have play, pause (as good as mute) functions and next / previous track, and volume control too.
model is DRBT21GB
I bought the Bluetrek Duo headset, it can be used both like a single or an A2DP headset. Works like a charm both ways with touch pro, music plays realy nice. It comes with 3.5mm jack so you can put whatever headset you wish.

I thought the S9HD is a better one ... how is the 'talk' when you're outside say window down or in the bus/train?
I'm still waiting for it to be available in Australia.. sigh~
I used Voyager 855 and returned it as it got some cracking noise when put it in my pocket (pants)... music quality is good but not as loud enough. A few issue when trying to make it works for the first time....
Also thinking of getting the DRBT21GB as well.. to see how well it perform...
has anyone tried sony's HBHIS800?
I like my s9-hd. Gets pretty good range. Sounds good in stereo. Good enough in calls. only issue I have is bike commuting. I have the phone in my saddle bag behind me and it seem to be about 60% successful. Sometimes it is perfect. other times it is so skippy that I just go without. If I put it in my camleback when I mountain Bike I have no issues at all. The only thing I can think off is that wither tha fabric of the bag is interfering or my body is interfering, or both.

I had S9, then Switched to HD version. Love it. I'm in construction, so noise is an issue, but with S9HD I enjoy music, bluetouth and perfect earplugs. Highly recommended. Just watch out for ebay fakes. I bought mine at Best Buy with $10 extra fro 2 year warranty, No regrets
I just got MotoROKR S605. IMHO, it's simply one of the best BT stereo headsets on the market. I had Jabra BT3030 before, but it wasn't loud enough; then i had Sony Ericsson DS980, but battery life sucked; Finally, i found S605 that has decent headsets that come with it, battery meter is a good option too. It has a built-in radio, all control buttons are so easy to access. The only con it has - micro usb charging port.
HBH-IS800
Hej,
yes i have the hbh-is800 and its great. Sound is good and loud.
i also have the Plantonrics Voyager 855. I find the hbh-IS800 better because its small and pretty. The bluetooth is better by the hbh-is800.
I advise you to HBH-is800
FWIW - pretty happy with my Voyager 855. Performs well in mono and stereo. Way better than my old Motorola headset on all counts. My only gripe is that none of the included earbuds fits my ear quite well enough to go without the ear hook for any real length of time (and certainly not if I was being active).

I agree..i ordered my 855 from buy.com for around 50 bux but it wouldnt turn on..so i sent it back got another one and i fell in love right away..and yes none of the earbuds fit my ear either forcing me to use the hook and that still causes it to pull away from my head eventually causing the headset to hang and point down which looks retarded but whatever..(i wonder why more headset companies dont use flexible earhooks like my old jabra bt160 had..it also vibrated which was fun )..except when using the stereo adapter..that stays in about 80% of the time..and when JAMMED in the sound quality is quite good..enough to get some good bass..my only gripe is you cant change the volume unless the bt is active (in call while connected or with a2dp active) and ive been experiencing some weirdness lately..maybe its my rom but sometimes it will just disconnect from my device and force the call back to the handset and sometimes i cant get any audio when making a call forcingme to use the nadset until i turn off and on the 855..but other than that im glad i bought it
