HTC Raphael Wiki Pages
The xda-developes wiki system is a (shamefully) under-used resource, lets change that shall we? The information is available to ALL users and naturally being a wiki everyone can contribute to it, details about ROMs and download links etc can be added when they appear and it is easy to use.
ALL new members need to take a read through it BEFORE asking questions since if it is a common topic you WILL find it in the wiki.
Common useful pages in the wiki include:
HTC Raphael for Beginners
HTC Raphael Images*
Raphael Tips & Tweaks
HTC Raphael Specifications
Model and CID FAQ
Available Shipped WM6.1 ROMs
Available Cooked WM6.1 ROMs
Available Extracted Radio Stacks
Software utilising the sensors in the Raphael
HTC Raphael Cooking Resources (CustomRUU, Kitchens etc..)
HTC Raphael OEM Packages
Rather than have an endless number of sticky threads containing the same information as in the wiki we actively encourage ALL members to use the wiki to its full potential, lets make an example of this forum and show the community in its best light.
Dont be scared of adding/editting information, its there for everyone so if something usefull is not in the wiki....add it!
Note:: we will be monitoring ALL changes so dont abuse the system. If there is a popular page which you think deserves a quick shortcut to in this sticky thread, PM a moderator to have it added. Enjoy people.
* Not yet in the wiki, perhaps somebody should add it?

Can someone please tell me what other good forums there are for the Universal and JasJar. Traffic is very low at present (as can be expected), so I'd like to ensure I'm trolling them all.
WM5 forums may also be useful (info on how to skin keyboard, backup solutions, preferred apps, tips n tricks, reg hacks, etc)
Only buzzdev.net as far as I've seen, but I haven't really had a proper look. And that's a very quiet forum anyway. (But a very friendly one )
Tekguru has some helpful threads.
I have found tekguru.co.uk to also be invaluable in many aspects concerning the Universals and HTC devices in general.
Link:

There are a good number of Jasjar users in the PocketPC forum at www.howardforums.com. Because of the K-Jam's recent release there is a lot of K-Jam discussion going on there right now, but there's some Jasjar information as well.

The forum starts to be a big huge, there are allready dozen tricks or little hacks, that havn't even seen because hidden in a post somewhere.
So the idea would to collect all this tricks/hacks and index them in a wiki page. That way everyone could find them and if needed add some explanations; ( the wiki could also link to the post to get the full review and explanation for the futur)
Of course the wiki will not be the place to ask questions, just a list of all the technical details like registry hacks, hidden extended rom etc..
What do you think about this idea ?
It's here already, but needs some updating
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Universal
Yep this is a good idea. I've created a suitable page at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Registry - please could everyone add in their own hacks (with examples)?
ive pasted in all the reg's n tweaks ive collected up so far, needs editing to the same standards you set out, but i will action shortly.
Cool - a good set already!
Added the standard disclaimer at the top of the page so that people don't moan when they make the wrong change and break their Universal
is there any *must have* software overview? or just some nice tools, each should have...i'd like such a list
There are many on this board. Have a look. There was one we all contributed to in the Universal thread, but there are many on almost every forum.

*nods*
but spreaded out in the whole forum, thats why a wiki page or list with a kind of "must have" would be great
That's a very good idea!
Sorry for passing the buck - but the wiki's open to all - want to start a page?

Created a template, please update a good text there because my enlish is teh suq
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Must_have_tools
I've modified the template slightly and started the list off. Get going people.

added some great freeware apps.
I have been working on a new version of the Wizard wiki for most of the day. I think the old one is badly organized and hard to navigate. However, I kept most of the same information. The links at the bottom were on the original wiki also, except they link to forum topics; I think that they are important enough to be turned into their own wiki pages. I don't mind doing this but I want to get some feedback from the community first... Reply and tell me if you think I am wasting my time, if you think I am doing a good job, what should be added/removed, what should be changed, etc. etc.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wizard_New
(If it becomes good enough I hope to make it the main Wizard wiki page...as I said, I find the current one hard to navigate.)
Hi,
as you have propably noticed there's couple discussions going on about the forum and some "experts" leaving it etc..
Good structure is very important for wiki and also for forums. So I think you've done a good job there...especially I like the idea to turn certain stuff to their own pages, links to the forum threads are just too messy.
I just finished transferring "How to determine if you have a G3 or G4 Wizard" and "How to SIM unlock and SuperCID unlock a G3 Wizard" into wiki format. Could (a few) people please proofread and triple-check these for me, I don't want anyone to ruin their device because of a misprint or a confusing sentence.
I would suggest you taking the hermes wiki as template for your structure / organization:

Well done Lee1733.
I have often thought the wiki was out of date and in need of some tidying up. The search facility on these boards is becoming unusable due to thread hijacking and repated posts. I pity new users who have to wade through pages of threads to find a simple answer. A good tip is to use google to search xda-developers as it does a better job of sorting the wheat from the chaff. Perhaps a link to google this site as well as the default search should be put in the header of each page.
The wiki is the best place for FAQs but it is down to all of us to keep it upto date.
I just finished adding/editing the "How to Change the Wizard's Splash Screens" and "How to 'Cook' an Extended Rom" pages. I basically copied this straight from http://www.molski.biz (and gave him credit at the bottom) so they should be correct. The only changes I made were some minor Wiki formatting changes.
You came looking here for the best possible ROM for your device. Well you came to the right address.

Public HTC Leo File Sharing Folder
In due time we will see radio stickies, oem package repositories and shipped ROM threads popping up. Now wouldn't it be nice if there was one place we could all upload it to. I have created a 4share account to do this exact thing. When the dedicated thread pop-up or for the well connected amongst us who wish to share:
HTC Leo File sharing folder You can download and add your ROMs or packages to the kitchen. If you need new subfolders just ask and they shall be added. Warez are not allowed and shall be deleted. This is a little experiment and I hope this will make sharing easier and more satisfying (nobody is forced to use this folder).
Use the Leo Wiki
The Leo Wiki Thread will point you to some of the more common pages in the wiki site, ALWAYS take a look there before posting anything since ALL members are encouraged to use and update the wiki as necessary. The information SHOULD be up to date. If information you think is important is not in the wiki, add it RTFW, or Read the WikiChances are your question is already answered on the wiki: Make sure you browse through the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) before you start a new topic. If it's an obvious or common question, chances are someone has already put the answer there.ETFW, or Edit the WikiInformation stored in the wiki is dynamic: The wiki makes it easy for anyone to contribute or edit pages, and link them together, it is the best way to keep all information current and accurate. If you ask something in the forum which you didn't find on the wiki previously, please take 5 minutes of your time to EDIT the wiki and add the information there when you get an answer. This is the only way to avoid tons of new threads asking the very same questions over and over and over again.
Don't be afraid of editing the wiki if you don't understand the wiki syntax: Formatting may seem a bit complicated at the beginning, but you don't have to care too much if you just want to add content, add it as if you were writing a text document and sure someone more experienced with wiki syntax will edit it after and correct the bad formatting mistakes.

@all: I intended for this thread to be a general overview for users to easily move around the ROM forum (possibly reduce the amount of questions and time to find the thread you were looking for). I have not been around for a while and find the HD2 forum somewhat cluttered.
I'm looking for some input to help make this forum a little easier on the eyes. I need your help in this, but I also need you to be critical about it. I need a list of threads that should not be forgotten and should be easy to find for novice users. The kind of threads I'm looking for are the ones that contain information that won't be outdated any time soon.
Also I would like to have some feedback about the way it's setup now and should be setup. I will be closing this thread again once it's updated.
Sincerely,
12aon
Guys? Is everybody to much habituated to this thread...
Great idea in theory, and yes I agree the forum is messy. I guess the links to note are the obvious ones, but then they are already stickies in any case - these being the mskip Flashing Tutorial, *'s video tutorial, Task29 and HSPL/SSPL. Stock ROM and Radio links are also good. There is some key information needed also like "do not use a x.xx.51.xx radio for the TMOUS 1024 device or you will brick your phone". Wiki's are also great initially, but they seem to die down and don't get maintained well in my experience. Most noob's also seem to miss them.
It seems however that many users here prefer to simply start a new thread rather than search, read and then post IN THE MOST RELEVANT THREAD. No they choose to start a new one even though 5 separate threads asking the same question already exist. This mess exacerbates the whole situation as due to the clutter it's easier to post a new thread.
I must admit though, coming from the HD forum, the Leo users seem to be a lot lazier.
Hi Guys, Could anyone by kind enough to tell me what chef cooks Leo roms including E-reader tab from latest TMOUS together with TV tab ? If such thing does not exist, at least one chef that cooks with e-reader tab... NRG sstopped doing so... sadly...
Cheers. Thanks in advance..

I do not exacty know what kind of help you are looking for.
But the wiki really needs updating.
For clarity of the forums, I would suggest a sticky on top with references to "Important threads", but also editing this info into the wiki.
Perhaps I could be of assistence?
PM me with more details if you need my help.
