Hey guys, recently my phone decided to develop an obnoxius and loud beep everytime I press the red end button. I was looking at this link to try and solve my problems..

and even after I changed the file to the Midi2Wave_079_4095.wav , as soon as I leave TotalCommander, the registry would automatically return to dpadctl.mid . Please, if anyone has any idea of how to fix this and not just mute it, I would be eternally grateful.
My bad you guys, I did not realize that in order for the registry edits to save, I would have to quit the program and then soft reset it without touching the end button itself.

This started sometime yesterday and now its really starting to annoy me. Everytime i press any of the hard buttons under the screen (including the dpad and hangup/answer keys) or speakerphone on, end, call history etc. on the dialer, i hear this chime. I went into the windows directory and its dpadctl.mid thats going off everytime i press one of those buttons.
How do i turn this off?

Ive had this tmobile mda for about a year and it was telling me that its memory was dangerously low or something. so i told it to clear all text messages cause there was like 5000. i figured it would take a half a day or so and i just left it. after a day it was still lagging and pretty much not responding or answering calls or texts or anything so i pulled out the battery to reset it. when i put the battery back in every soft key short cut button i pushed resulted in error message saying, error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename. when i enter the start menu everything is gone except for 'today', 'calupd', and 'coldinit'. all of these are dead shortcuts. its like all the memory of the phone (pocket windows) is gone. how do i go about trying to fix it. i can 'explore' on microsoft activesync, but it tells me when i tried to upgrade the software, that it is not connected.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Press and hold Comm + Voice button and press the reset little switch. The screen will go black and then it will ask you to format your device. Press the call button. That should make it work again

I would like if someone can made this test and report the result.
I am almost 100% sure that having the mobile in the home menu (normal status), if we press the end call key (red one) nothing append.
However my mobile make a hight BEEP when i release the key, so press... wait and release,... BEEEP.
it's a audio beep.
I change the radio rom from the 2.07 <->2.19 <->2.07 = the same
4 different rooms = same.
just to clear my mind, can you please also test yours and tell me the behavior, I think that it started maybe 3 weeks ago when I made the first radioRom upgrade 2.07 to 2.19.... or maybe i am just a litle crazy

Im having the same problem here... But mine is not only on long press. Its beeping everytime i pressed it. Sound so loud makes me wanna puke everytime i hit that call end button... I dont remember any settings change or software installed. It just suddenly happened.
Im on G4 and i think this does not makes any change. Hard reset, soft reset and all sort of known resets is not helping... But im interested with that function of long press call end settings...

My phone makes the Beep every time i press the disconnect call button (started after a hard reset)... Long press end key is set to "Display Quick list".
help anyone... its driving me nuts.
I was about to throw my THD out the window because every time I make a call I seem to end up doing(running) all kinds of funny things while I am on the call. Sometimes by the time the call is finished I have found somehow my ear has managed to press and run a whole load of programs!
I have now found a resolution to this most annoying feature, when the phone rings I immediately press the ANSER button and then turn the THD off by pressing the OFF button on the top of the unit.
Problem resolved.

An easy answer you may like to try is HD Tweak which will give you the option to have this done manually

I have a very strange problem. Even when I have my phone locked when I click the answer button located on the headset (those which original came with the device) it reacts as if I press the answer button on my phone so if it is pressed two times I would call person which is first in my call history.
So what do you think might be the problem? Do anyone had a simmilar problem with your device?
In fact I have never used this button for anything so the solution might be to disable this button.

The same here ) however I´ve installed this (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492947) app. Now it skips a song by doublepress (you can also set no action).
If someone knows a better solution (only changing registry value), it would be appreciated )
