I tried the pocketcm keyboard and liked it alot. However, It mad writing sms much harder. I swap between swedish and english quite alot and the skortcut key didn't work after installation of pocketcm. So I had to remove their keyboard to get this feature back.

TouchPal just came up with a new version that I believe you can switch between different languages with ease. I only use english so have never tried, but it's supposed to be pretty nice.
Anyone know who to make the Touch HD Keyboard as default keyboard so that it will not revert to the original phone keyboard when you reboot the phone every time?
Care to share how to do so, thanks.
SKTools can set it.

Can you advise me where can I tweak the setting for the keyboard as I cannot find it after going through all the menus, thanks.
Brother, I managed to find the settings for the keyboard change, thanks for your information.
I always use the full keyboard with the stylus, and the compact one with my fingers. Maybe somebody could develop an app that changes the keyboard layout on the stylus event?
Cheers...

Try butler. You'll need to change the unique IDs for each of the keyboards, but it should do what you want.
Ahh... I didn't find that one in my search...
Alternative
Here you have
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=414422
Look in some page I dont remember there are a cab to install it. Then change the keyboard that you want in the registry, Normally I use full Qwerty with the stylus in, and keyboard with the stylus out.

Here is the way for this:
In SKTools open category "Maintenance", then "Input Methods". Now you can enable/disable input methods. When you klick the softkey "Action", you can use "set as default" or "Remove Key" for no used input methods.
Greetings Mirko
I have done all the steps you mentioned before but nothing good happened. Thanks anyway for your time

On my last phone I had spelling suggestions for the hardware keyboard, but the desire z doesn't seem to. Does anyone have them. Is there a setting I am just overlooking here?
RootedHTCDesireZ
go Settings,.... Language & KB,... Select ANDROID settings or HTC IME settings,... should be in there somewhere pal.
Under language and keyboard there is only language and touch settings. Am I missing a setting here?

Here you go pal,... does that help?

What the OP is asking for is for the hardware keyboard, not the virtual keyboard.
For the OP, if you buy/download swiftkey from the market, it really is one of the best virtual keyboards and it DOES have corrections for the hardware keyboard I just doubled checked just to make sure
