Hey
Wondering if anyone out there is/would like to make a skin for S2U2 to make it match the Pointui interface.
At the moment i have Home running, then when a call comes through S2U2 pops up with slide to answer. Would be awesome to skin S2U2 to match the Pointui look, would look great, all matching and what not.
Also, anyone know of a PocketCM Pointui look-a-like skin? Again this would look great.
Thanks!
I'd like a PointUI skin to match S2U2.
PointUI is not skinnable as yet but here's hoping....
When you lock pointui it gives it's own unlocking slider screen
Well someone made a TSK to match the PointUI. All you would need to do is extract the JPG out of the TSK. I was gonna get around to it but haven't been back to the office yet. If anyone has some theme editing software they can get a jump start on it.
Attached is the PointUI today theme.

Yeah buts its real bad. s2u2 is much better and handles incoming calls etc. So untill the Pointui guys improve the locker, a s2u2 pointui theme would be great.
Here's the images I used in the TSK, they were extracted from PointUI:
S2U2 "Pointui wallpaper skin"
Copy these 2 wallpapers to S2U2/GFX.
Yeah we are heading in the right direction.
What about icons and such?
i'll see if i can knock together an S2U2 theme for you guys, but it won't really be top quality, since i need to get to sleep soon. just something to appease the people while someone else who has more time to focus on it can produce a better product.
There's a great tutorial for modifying S2U2 in this thread here.
I'll get to working on a PointUI theme for S2U2 as soon as I finish setting up my Telus branded HTC Touch (Vogue 100)(P3050) for the 5th time. (screwed up registry trying to make TouchPal the default SIP) (Used PIM Backup to overwrite the last good backup with a barebones PIM from the last HR)
here's a theme
Hey Azimuth
Thanks for the theme. Just a few notes as you mentioned its untested, iv tested it and..
- There seems to be a white bar next to the SMS icon
- The Clock font is real choppy
- The slide button has white areas in the top corners where i suppose this should be transparent
- Is it possible to have larger icons for SMS, Emails and Calls, like the Pointui ones.
critiques
will fix
Azimuth21
thanks for producing such a nice theme for s2u2. Everyone is good apart from the slide button, i think the corners should be smoother...lol...
anyways for sharing...
I just created the PointUI Slider, I hope you like it.
And here's how my S2U2 looks like.
PS: The icons dont work.
Here's is a coloured version.
Here's how my S2U2 screen looks like:
Firstly, we appreciate that you guys are impressed by Pointui Home, XDA has some hardcore PDA fans and we know you're a tough crowd. We also know what kind of stuff goes down here, hi to all the Chefs out there.
We know that Pointui Home is limited in areas and other software is needed, but come on guys, you have completely raped the logo. Its been designed so its square, it would fit in nicely. That looks like Xenu is about to land.
If you guys are serious then step up. Contact us and ask, let us know what kind of sh!t is going down here. Maybe we can at least meet you half way so the result is decent.
We'll try and get a setting in to have the lock look for an external app like we did with 1.01b and the Music icon, mail, etc.. in the next build.
As you can tell from our forum Joel and I are pretty busy and given we do this in our own time after work so we might not get back to you for a bit. Please have some patience.
Also, please if anyone in these forums works out how to get something to work and there are people in our forum with the same problem we'd appreciate you hook them up.
Thanks cstewart for the donation and Dorothy sends her regards
Cheers,
Shane...

This is a legitimate concern, it's your trademark and I would be peeved as well. However go easy on mushipkw, I'm sure his including your logo was out of admiration and not with the intent to desecrate it
You should include trademark usage guidelines on your website or completely forbid it.

Exactly. I didnt want to desecrate it, If u say I'll remove it.
I've started developing a theme for ThrottleLauncher, and I would like to know your opinion.
As a small explanation of the theme I could say it has 3 main rows + footer.
- In the first row you find a simple clock plus info on your next appointment in your agenda.
- On the second you get the contacts that you assign to the favorites category.
- The third row provides 7 shortcuts that you can personalize with your own apps + 1 for all of them.
- The footer brings up the following pages:
Contacts;
Weather;
Calendar;
Settings.
Not all of it finished so, one of this days I will post a cab to install it in your device.
Hope to ear from you...
Thats a very nice theme. I suggest you wait a bit before developing it all, because APBilbo said he would release v0.9.2 soon this week or the next. IMHO, I would say it's nice except the background doesn't really go well with the icons and some of the icons are pixelated. Besides that, it is a very good theme.

The graphics? Yeah... Ok.

Humm, I wasn't aware that the new version was coming out, but I agree with you. I'll wait a bit.
About the graphics, I also agree with you and as you were the first (and only) so far to refer that, what do you suggest? The icons on the apps are the ones from the .exe plus a background that I found out in some other theme (sorry to the author, but don't remember who you are ). The photos on the contacts row are from the phone's outlook.
Would you like to manage the graphics? I feel much better with the code lines...
Okay. v0.9.2 just got released today. I see a black line below the start button. I think you should place the clock a little lower. The icons are nice, but they don't really match the feel of it. I suggest you either change the background or change the icons to something like the iPhone icons, unless you don't like the iPhone icons, I mean totally your choice.

Very good to see the author of this great app reading my thread!!
Your help will be for sure of great use, but first I will try to "learn" your new theme and the changes in the code and then if I get really stuck in some problem I will be thanked for your help. I will!
Finally, thanks for this great piece of software!
TF3D "deep blue" call skins (v1.0) & update to my charcoal dialer skin (v1.1)
Hi all,
I updated my charcoal dialer and created a new set of skins/images for use when making calls. Just follow the external link to my blog. No screenshots per se, but I posted some of the source images for your window shopping pleasure. Full instructions included in the download packages (ZIP).
There's also an awesome picture of my dog. It's my splash screen (replaced the animated Sprint logo).
PS. The only problem I still have left to fix is the FONT COLOR of the Caller ID text during calls. Dark on dark is kinda hard to see. I'd love some help with that! If anyone knows the manila file(s) to edit, please let me know!
Cheers,
Anthony

HKLM/Software/HTC/Phone
V1.1 up!!!
Hi All,
V1.1 of the deep blue call screen skins are available now: external link to my blog
Fixed:
- Answer, Ignore, Mute Ring, & End Call (pressed) buttons
- Updated instructions / How to change font colors in registry!!!
________
PS. Thanks for the screens Sergio! How do you do that, anyway???
Thanks for all the input, keep it coming!
buggy buttons
Sergio, et al.
I just noticed some funky buttons on that screen shot. The U.S. Sprint version has Call History and Calendar where you have Hold and Add Call.
I haven't modified all the possible buttons yet (as I can only test on my U.S. Sprint Diamond). There's a lot of 'em, so I don't want to do them all. But, if anybody requests a specific button fix for their phone, I'll see what I can do!
Cheers
Take a look at this for screen shots:

Sorry messed up double post.
My bad!
do you have landscape versions also?

cool little utility, but i can't figure out how to work with it. To take "on-demand" shots, you need to assign a hardware button, but there are only a few on the Diamond and I can't get any of 'em to work!

no plans for a landscape version as I don't plan on ever using it that way! Maybe if I get really bored one day...
Hey guys, after gettings my hands on Wisbar Advance Desktop 2 and seeing how powerful it was in theming just the way I wanted, I thought I would make some themes.
I will put the themes I make up here in case anybody likes them so they can use them themselves (any donations would be appreciated).
Before I begin though, a note:
Most of my themes will be minimalist, I like to maximise functionality out of the minimal things on the screen, usually I prefer to see the wallpaper and my themes will focus on this.
The theme I am going to put here is a conceptual idea I had today where I thought that the signals I need can easily be displayed in a "different" way. It's not entirely new, but I have not seen it done like this for a phone theme before.
Anyway, here is my first version of this theme, a couple hours work, and is basic and simple, but i like it for that.
Each Orb or circle represents a signal, from largest to smallest:
Teal: Missed Calls
Yellow: New SMS
Maroon: New Email
Light Green: Wifi ON
Blue: Bluetooth ON
When the orbs/circles are empty, there is no missed call/sms/email and wifi/BT are off. When the colour is visible, there are.
Each can be clicked and will take you to the corresponding item:
Teal: Missed call list
Yellow: SMS list
Maroon: Email Inbox
Light Green: Toggle WIFI ON/OFF
Blue: Toggle Bluetooth ON/OFF
The top left blue circle shows the start menu
Top right blue circle has battery value, and will take you to the battery page (FIXED)
The wallpaper here is just a solid colour, but could be replaced with any colour or image you like.
The orbs/circles can be moved anywhere you like on the screen in any shape or pattern, simply and easily.
EDIT: FIXED: Battery Icon now takes you to battery power page.
EDIT2: OK, this will be the final version for now (until I receive requests). I have added transparency to the circles, I have added a clock, changed the colours for some nicer ones and have also made a landscape version. (Havn't shown screeners because it's practically the same thing). The wallpaper (that may be included) is just a generic general image from the phone, the idea of this theme is that you pick your own wallpaper, so you should change this, and not wonder why it has an aweful one included. Again, if you like, please feel free to donate.(Link in my sig)
NOTE: You may find that the mail icon doesn't link correctly on your phone. That is because on my phone it is linked to "Gmail". You should edit the script for the mail link (maroon one) and in its script you will find "\Windows\tmail.exe -service 'Gmail'". Change the bit in quotes to link your correct account (either what ever you named it, or "ActiveSync" if you're using the Hotmail/Outlook sync. If you use more than one, just remove everything after "\Windows\tmail.exe" and you will be taking to "Messaging"
Nice idea mate,
will check it out when it's done.
Very nice. It's good to see someone thinking away from the "We have to interact with some boxes inside of other boxes" mentality. Down with square buttons!
Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words, I have updated now after working on it all day, and made what will for now be a final version.
Let me know if you download and have any feedback. Bear in mind, as I said, I won't be adding _too much_ more to these because the whole idea was to be minimalist.
That looks really clever, although I think I'd keep getting distracted by the pretty lady!
Hmm very nice idea about circle but i have better idea to turn girl to front face and for first "bubi" assing sms and second "bubi" for new e-mail ) , and if message arrive all bubi start shaking. lol i need this for my today screen.
Hehe
Well, fortunately for those that might get distracted, the pretty lady doesn't come with my theme, I just saw her in the theming thread and thought I'd try it as my wallpaper. You can of course put any wallpaper you like, which is the idea of this theme. The "bubi" idea is a nice one, put it tempts me to make the kind of theme that one shouldn't see before the 9 o clock watershed, so I'll refrain.
I love the minimalist approach - clean and stylish, just the way I like it. Keep it up!
I've attached two pics to this thread... one is of the iPhone SMS Notification and one is a SMS-Chat Text Notification I'm currently running on WinMo (as you can see both are practically the same). The SMS-Chat Text Notification is nice but when you click the Envelope (view) button it automatically opens the SMS-Chat client which needless to say is a big memory-hog. Is there anybody out there who can make a very lightweight QVGA SMS/MMS Notification app (in the same style of this SMS-Chat Notification or the iPhone SMS Notification pictured) that links to the native Windows Mobile Messaging program? It would be totally sweet if it would possible...
Thanks in Advance!!!
if u have the .cab pass it on lol
it looks nice
i like s2u2's tho but hey for the people that dont use it
thats pretty nice

Maybe a little clarification on my part is due... this Notification is part of the program SMS-Chat by Vito. While I love the notification part of this app (which I took a screenshot of on my Vogue), I truely dislike the remaining parts of SMS-Chat. I posted the screens because I was wondering if anyone would be able to make a simple, lightweight Notifiication Application just like the Notification part of SMS-Chat by Vito.
P.S. - The "Theme" in the background of my screenshot is not a "Theme" but is infact NFSFAN's v6 of Windows Mobile 6.5 for the Vogue with a Bamboo Wallpaper
