My Himalaya is dead!!

hi everyone...
i have an i-mate branded himalaya device...went dead suddenley!!!
battery is not charging and all i get is a red light when i connect the device to the charger..
i tried to use another battery, but it's no use and my battery is working fine with another himalaya :roll:
that was 3 days ago...
i left the device because i had something to do when i came back, i turned it on........ :idea: and it worked and hard reseted..
i tried to do a soft reset after a while :?: it went dead again !!!!!
what's happenning here?
i am using the last Offical i-mate ROM...(Windows Mobile 2003)

I have the same problem with my XDA II as well.
So, how do you fix that finally ??

If I was you, then I shall try to flash the device again with the same or newer version of the ROM. If this is not working then I will call the manufacturer.

i had the same problem this weekend.
on friday my MDA II just died in a phonecall. And it wont nether charge or start.
And i rembered a couple of days before my MDA just claimed about weak backup battery during charging.
But after i fully charged the akku in the 2nd slot of the docking station.
My device started and after that the akku also charges in the MDA.
and evrything is normal again. Iill keep an eye on this.

I have the same thing, have no idea what to do!
First time it happened i exchanged my device, but the problem was still there and i thought the battery were dead. i bought the new one- and it work!!! But now it happened again!!

My MDA dosent turn on

I am tryin to turn on my mda but it does not. i lest it on charge for almost 2 days and it still dosent turn on . i tried the soft reset and hard reset but still no help. i press the power switch but nothing happens. While the mda is on charge it does show me the red light lit on the led . Any help appreciated

I had a similar problem with my MDA; except the red light on the MDA wouldn't light up during charging. T-Mobile initially send me a new MDA; but it turned out to be a bad battery ... the MDA will not operate without a fucntional battery, even when connected to a charger. They sent me a new batter and my MDA was working again. For some reason my battery must have shorted out.

SPV M600 G4 doesn't start, HELP.

I've upgraded Orange SPV M600 G4 to PDAViet 4.0.0.0.6 Touch more than a week ago. Yesterday when battery level was at 6% I connected the power supply to charge the battery and went to bed, charging process started. This morning I've noticed that my PDA is turned off.
When I press ON button, or soft reset - nothing happens. Removed CD card, SIM card, Battery put battery back - nothing.
Connect to power supply - no sign of charging. Any Ideas or device is dead?

Later today by pressing ON button Orange logo appeared with IPL and other info then turned off. As I understand buttery is completely discharged. SPV doesn't want to charge. Any ideas how to charge the battery? I can buy new battery but if the problem is with the SPV?

Charmer wont turn on

this is my firends phone - tmobile cmpact 2 - its never been cooked, standard wm5 rom and no upgrades or downloads. it suddenyl today entered bootload screen - we took out the battery restarted, then it loads to the tmobile splash screen the cuts off, now it wont even turn on
tried charging it, and the charge light doesnt ocm eon, any ideas??

You have to enter bootloader mode (look up the wiki for how to) and then run the official rom upgrade for charmer.

my charmer is also dead
right in the middle of typing in an adress at iGO on my Charmer with WM5 it started rebooting and turned black after the T-Mobile bootscreen. And I could only turn it on by removing the battery, waiting for some minutes and then turning on again, just to see the same thing happening - black after T-Mobile screen.
Now I cannot turn it on at all, cannot reset (neither hard nor soft), cannot get into bootloader nor can I charge it (at least no LED is indicating anything).
Does anybody have an idea? vlodeck?
At the moment I am not at home, so I cann't try the original power supply (so far I used the one in the car).

There are two possible outcomes Jared.
Either your power supply in the car is not enough to lift up Charmer.
Or your battery went totally dead, in which case you would have to buy a new battery.

the strange thing is, that it all started with battery at about 80%...
I will check on sunday with the original power supply and a battery from another device. Then I will let you know the outcome.

but vlodeck was right. At home I pluged in the charger and it started charging and I can also turn it on again. So for some reason my car charger does not charge the charmer anymore although the indicator and the battery bar says so ...???

Help MDA Vario Wont Turn on

Help me
my Tmobile mda vario was die, 2 day a go still on when charge with my universal ac charger
first time it red light for 5 second then off
1 minute orange light and i try to turn on, and works but to bootloader mode i open the battery and put on my mda again
when charge it freeze no responding, no light
i try to revive with 9 volts battery, but nothing
until now it wont up

someone would you help me yo solve this problem
