Can my wizard be a usb wifi card?

I'm moving house at the end of the month, and will be getting a line installed in my room.
The house does have wireless I can use in the meantime, but I don't have a wifi card for my pc, nor do I wish to waste money on one.
Seeing as my wizard can connect to wifi, could I use it to connect my pc to the house network and browse etc via usb/activesync/3rd party apps?
Cheers

2, please follow my articles. In one of them, I've explained why this isn't possible. See http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=453&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 . All you can do is access the Web through your PDA if you use my HTTP proxy.

This will make even Bill Gates pull his hair!

I have JASJAM,Vista Home Premium,netgear 108mbps wifi card.
I have made a network b/w mobile and desktop.I view my network files using VM Net Browser, play them using TCPMP player,mp4 codec installed.
Note-All my hard drives are being shared.
Note2-I am sharing my broadband connection i.e local area network on which i have internet.
Problem-
1)I can view all my drives,i.e disk 0,the SATA which is primary drive of my computer(MASTER),BUT i cant view my disk 1,i.e PATA which is Disk 1 on my computer,n guess what, tht drive has all my porn/movies/songs/videos!!
2)I cant get to use internet on my ppc,i think i might know the corrct settings, but i have given default gateway in my ppc same as its in wifi card,in wifi card its same as in lan....192.168.100.1....What else do i have to do.
Please ppl. if u really think u r great then help me!!!Curemy 2 problems
Drive sharing and internet sharing
Hi Pranjal,
I had a problem jumping on to my WiFi to connect to the internet too. I found that the trick that solved it for me was that in Network Management settings [Settings > Connections > Connections > Advanced > Select Networks] to make sure that both options show "My Work Network" and then when you try and connect to the WiFi network select the this Network connect to my work option.
That should *fingers crossed* sort out your internet problem.
Though I haven't a clue about your drive sharing problem. Though I'm guessing as you should then be able to log on to your WiFi properly you should have access to your shares.

Security
Hi,
Just read your post, and I just wanted to make a mention on security.
You really should think about using a router on your network instead of having a PTP (Point to Point) wireless network. If you use a Wireless Router, you can use a MAC security list which prevents devices other than those you specify connecting to the network.
At the same time, you shouldn't be openly sharing all of our drives like that, especially your system volume with your Windows installation on it. My advice would be to unshare the drives, and connect to them via the Administrative Shares (c$, d$ etc). These shares are hidden from the network browser, and can only be opened by Administrative user accounts on the PC.
By having all your volumes shared like that, and a simple P2P wireless network, someone could very easily brute force the WEP / WPA key being used by your WLAN card, and then freely browse everthing on your PC, injecting like nasties wherever they feel like doing so.

Can I connect to the PDA storage card from WiFi?

All,
I have setup a WiFi router on my PDA and want to connect a WiFi camera to it. When pictures are taken I want to be able to store them on the PDA.
I have successfully got two PDA's connected by the router.
I can do this with a laptop but I need to be able to map some form of drive to my PDA.
Can I do this?
Thanks,
Sam

HD2 via ethernet?

Any way to connect to the internet with the HD2 via only a ethernet source? I looked up portable routers which costs $40, looking for a cheaper option.
I'm going abroad so some places only have ethernet access.
id say portable router is the way to go. The only downside i can see is that if the router loses its configuration, you can't access it without a wired pc to reset it.
connect to a pc via active sync,
as a guest (when the active sync connect screen comes up, just select "Guest").
This way you just cave access to the computer's resources, and the computer has access to the device's files, but no Mail/Contacts/Calendar sync is taking place.
If this computer has internet access, you will be able to access the internet
