I am using a custom ROM and i want to change the phone number format in all the applications that are displaying phone numbers like (###)###-###. Is that possible? Currenlty it is like #########. Help is appriciated.

You can change format of phone numbers etc under start-->settings-->system-->regional settings. Take a look there.
I did however there is no option to change the format of the phone number

Recently i had my number accidentally changed to another number by sprint ( when trying to change number on another handset)
And so they tried to program the phone by having me putting in ##0 something something # and it didn't work.
I was wondering if you guys had any ideas?

Well, something like that happend to me after updating my rom, if you use the official rom then dial ##778, but if your rom is cooked then dial ##778#. that able you to enter the EPST menu, I hpoe I could help.

I have, what I suppose to be, a translation issue with contacts editing on an official french ROM.
It seems I got it when going back to a french ROM after a WWE ROM flash, but i'm not sure, as hard resets and task 29 don't fix the problem.
So, when i want to add an "Home/Residence" phone number to a new or existing contact, i read "Reception" instead of "Home". ("Accueil" instead of "Domicile", in french)
And if I choose it, and save the new number, then it's well written as "Home (Domicile)" on contact's card.
But is there a way to modify the name of this "type" of phone number, maybe in registry or a kind of config file ?
If anyone have an idea, thanks!

I have played alot with the registry files in my phone and now its too slow, lots of lag input from the keyboard, and its just functioning terribly.
I would like to start over, so I would like to know how to Format my phone ?
Is there a way I can save my email settings so that I dont have to retype all info again once I format it ?
Is it possible for me to port an ANDROID ROM on my HD2 instead of the windows one ?

Regarding formatting the phone: Windows -Settings- System - Clear Storage (enter code 1234) and you're phone will perform a hard reset and you'll loose all the information, going back to factory settings. Preferably remove tour SD card before doing that. Put your SD card in your PC/laptop and delete the Application Data folder and reinsert in in the phone after the hard reset.
This answers also your question regarding your email settings: no, you cannot save them they will be erased too. But setting up an account does not take that much time?
Regarding Android, I cannot help you. Don't use it.

Is it possible to change your device's ID. Say an app that was downloaded pulled your device ID so even if you do a master reset on your phone that app will always reconize your phone.
Is there a way to change that?
im trying to prevent an app from storing my phone id on their server and if I cannot is there a way to change it so apps that already have it stored cannot link to my phone.
I downloaded an app
Apparently it stores my phone ID
I can delete the app
I can even master reset my phone
Change my sims ID card
But if I download the app again it automatically reconizes my phone

Maby it doesnt recogize because phone ID,maby it recognizes phone because of something else,maby because of google play account.Think about that... if you need to change ID search Internet for answer hope i somekind helped u

Namnyi's solution worked for me ib the past flash clean rom and the id will change.
Send from my Zte kis 3 using my fingers.
Try xprivacy xposed app, you can bock app reading any data from your device, and you can change IP, id, IMEI, mask and i guess theres device ID too
