Well...
yes and no, i have a gps so for navigation it is not required, but
I would like to see a similar program which can show me the GSM tower info
Not sure what kind of info they give out but that would be nice
btw do you know if towers broadcast the owner name/company?
I'd like to map the availability and the type of tower.
Where i live the reception is cr*p vodafone seems to have a better reception,
i'd like to know if this is because the Vodafone tower is working on 900Mhz
I'm sure there will be requests for your application, best thing is to translate it anyway c",)
Hello Mr_Gee,
thanks for te asnswer. Every cell tower has associated network code, which directly map to the operator name.
Of course, my application is not substitute for any navigation application.
Here is the tab with basic screen info. (Cell Id
The app looks very useful ... i have been hunting around for something like that. I think it will zap my battery a little, but the info esp on signal strength will be useful, not to mention the long/lat when I travel.
IS there an English version for this software pls?
THanks.
Hi,
thanks for the interest.
The app is still in czech only. If there are more fans of the english version, please let me know.
I´m interested in an english edition of this app. Lives both in Prague and Sweden and using a Xperia X1 running english ROM - would be perfect with an english net monitor for it.
A version working in WM 6.5 would be perfect. I.e not as a today plugin but as an application.
Standalone application is a good idea - TF3D and similar managers are becoming omnipresent. 2-3 users of the english version?
So now problem is only how to find time.
English version fanboi here =)
Yeah, i'm interested too
I haven't found nothing (working) like this
English please. Thanks
Count me in
Best would be if you could put the translation in a file of some sort so that everyone could translate it into their own languages...
More requests for English version
Hi Rene .... I posted here earlier indicating my interest in an English version of this app. I've got more friends/colleagues (WM6.1 users) who are equally interested when I directed them to this forum.
Look forward to download the English cab. Thanks.
English Version
very interested software.. i want this software ASAP... :-D
Hi Rene, any luck with developing the English cab? Really keen to use it. Thanks.
Thanks for the interest colleagues.
I already had considered that english version will be made.
I estimate that first release of the EN version will be available on October because of the current lack of the free time.
Thanks so much Rene ... we'll wait patiently .... good things don't come easy - same applies to software apps :-D
I like to have this app in english pls. Used to have celltrack on my old nokia 3230. There isnt any program for my TP2... yet
GSM Net Monitor
Hi
I was looking for an application which can sniff around for all available GSM networks, and display the signal strength of all networks at a particular spot. Is it possible, for all the pros here or is it too much of a challenge?
Sanjeev
Am wondering if the English version is out yet.
this seems pretty interesting, so im wonderign if its anyway to port it or something to mgmaps, so will be so cool, have proximity with the CELLID,

for the new users of the 6900
please read the tips from the link on my first post of this thread
the beginning is in hebrew but you will also find English translations
on my last post I have added new skin of destiator 7 (the new VER) and one more reg hack that will auto disconnect your GPRS
this hack is very useful if you want to update the weather or GPS … and not have the connection running after your "action" ended
if there is no data transfer the GPRS will shut itself at the end of the time frame you have set it to
there is no translation for the last post but the pictures will do the trick

no comments guys ?
You should give it a try, it is really an excellent game
i would have downloaded it, if only the homepage was in english and not in french...
why do french always think the whole world speaks their language?!
Likewise, no idea how to navigate it. Your friend is missing out on a much wider market without English pages.
p.s. Is it just me, or does "Ballbreaker" just sound painful? Never heard of it before, but I'd much rather play a game called Comets Breaker as it doesn't bring such painful images to mind.
hanackin: maybe you can just post a direct link to an ENGLISH version of the installer (.cab or .exe) of the game...
Here is the direct link to the trial version (limited to level 9, no online mode).

Agreed, but remember that the most commonly spoken language in the world is chinese. Would you be better at finding the download link on a chinese website ? I don't think so...
Hey guys it is written in the description, it is French and in English!!
At least, in France we know how to read (i'm joking...)
I will change the screens, anyway because you are right, it is an International forum
edit : I have also inserted the trial versions guys, sorry for that
i have read, that it's in fr / en. but the point was, that the hp was in fr, so nobody was able to navigate without beeing able to speak fr.
maybe i'll try the game later today. thanks!
the website has a english version ... ok, generate with google but english version
Ok guys, so as is saying my friend Heirey
For the moment the site will be available with google translate
http://translate.google.fr/translat...ch?q=http://www.comets-breaker.com&hl=en&sa=G
The link is also on the first post, just until it as a real english version website
does it work on your touch hd?
seems like its a qvga-resolution, and id like to have a wvga-version...
i can start the game, but nothing more. the start screen appears - that was it...
there is a great tool by cotulla that allows you to adjust the resolution of the screen in order to play to VGA games&Apps, it's WVGAFIX3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=455974
It works like a charm on my HD!

How's it hanging xda? So every now and then I check to see if a new version of GMM is available so I can try to post it here first for those of you who gotta have the highest version number or cook it in roms. Not much of a hacking development, just posting for your convenience; so here's a fresh one, version 3.2.1.
Here's a vague changelog of 3.2.* but I think the only noticeable difference between this and 3.2.0 is a better layering manager. And of course the version number, they improved that a notch.

Yeah, if you're referring to Latitude.
Another thing it does that I don't remember 3.2.0 doing (but I could be wrong, maybe it had this) is give traffic for major avenues and cross streets in my city at least. Before it just gave the FDR, the West Side Highway and the bridges and tunnels whereas now you can see what's doing on Broadway, Park Avenue, 57th Street, Malcolm X Boulevard -- not all but most major arteries (I'm in NYC, btw). Very nice. Here, look:

It might do that in other cities too, fiddle with it.
I just flashed TPC which, though otherwise badass, included some Bing application. I begrudgingly tested its maps thing. It's sad and irritating that Microsoft is trying really hard to play copycat (but sucking at it) with Google. Man I hate that company but I've got to admit some of those Bing ads are witty.
Which reminds me, my mom's Linux laptop just arrived, gotta head over and install KDE for her. She's 65, she can barely use the television remote but loves Linux and I love that I don't get nearly as many calls for help as I did when she was using MS. I'll use GMM to see how much crosstown traffic I'm looking at.
Just put all my IRA money into Google, parenthetically.
Doug
i don't remember it giving me street traffic in nyc, but it does now
Is there a package of this? I know Google maps is a hard one to convert because there are extra settings that change after it is installed. I don't know if this version is like that or not. I think it requires B-Compare to see all the changes before and after install.
Just wondering.
Google Maps 3.2.1(#17) Update!
Google Maps 3.2.1(#17) Update! (06/10/2009)
Why no update notification
And now v3.3.1.0 is out... Every time I go searching for a new version, I can't help but wonder why Microsoft has a way to check for updates within their Bing mobile app but Google doesn't?
new thread
y'all should go to the new thread for 3.3.1 and other fun.
Hi all,
I have just bought myself the TP2 and I am pretty happy with it after coming from a Nokia E71. The display on this thing is superb.
Anyway, the one thing I am missing that I really liked with the Nokia was OVI maps. I do have Google maps on the TP2 but it does not allow you to download any maps to the phone and always requires a network connection to work. Sometimes when I am travelling overseas I don't always have a good signal so I want something with the maps built in. I work in the Far East so looking for maps for Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia in particular.
Any recommendations if any? I have seen Mapking but looking at the website I don't think this yet supports the WVGA resolution. I recall the original had poor fonts on VGA displays but this has been updated butnot sure if it will work with WVGA. I am going to download the trial and find out.
Cheers
Dave...
iGO 8 has maps for the Asian countries.
Garmin works great on the Tilt2. Lots of maps for the area you're looking at, some of them free. http://www.malsingmaps.com/portal/
After you install, make sure you use "GPS INtermediate Driver" and not "Comm 4"
Tap the signal meter, then disable. Select "GPS Intermediate Driver" then enable.
I applied the GPS tweaks in this thread, made a HUGE difference:

in case you are wondering: how MapKing 2007 looks on a TP2

hmm :/
I *really* would have liked to look at THAT XAP file...
Would you be so nice and give us a rough translation of the two options in the screenshot?
Here's an English version:
Unfortunately, I do not have XAP either, it was direct download and install through Marketplace.
I can confirm, I downloaded it from marketplace when i saw this post, but now the app disappeared
there's italian language too

I rebooted my phone yesterday and it's there now , wasn't before
thanks to geronimo_cz, this app did not disapear completely - enjoy this XAP: http://www.uloz.to/10189517/high-fidelity-position-v1-0-0-0-xap
IMO it does nothing - at least nothing significant. No difference in accuracy or speed...
Possible reason was greatly described by user Tomula on czech forum here: http://smartmania.mobilmania.cz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=155&t=25992&p=222286#p222286
He found, that Qualcommu Snapdragon QSD8250 in Omnia does definitely not have GLONASS support, so this app is probably for future devices with new GPS chip. Some sources are mentioned by him:
https://developer.qualcomm.com/discover/chipsets-and-modems/snapdragon
https://www.facebook.com/snapdragon/posts/189045881143225
v1.1: http://hotfile.com/dl/129241773/5affdde/high_fidelity_position_v1.1.0.0.xap.html
I'd love to have been in their office that day.
"Its uploaded now sir, all the Omnia 7 fans will get GLONASS support"
"Excellent."
*5 minutes later*
"TAKE IT DOWN TAKE IT DOWN, WE PUT TOO CHEAP A PART IN THE PHONE!"
Getting our hopes up like that. It's just shameful.
I receved update from marketplace
if glonass probably doesn't work, sure the first option works
They put the XAP to settings with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17376642
I'm curious how the Glonass can work without a firmware update, doesn't it need different hardware/firmware?
Read the thread again - it was already mentioned, Omnia 7 lacks support of GLONASS in its chipset. This tool is probably designed for future device, but the first option (using aditional device sensors) may still work on Omnia 7.
With current firmware and drivers, it probably does not do anything - functional drivers for compass will come with official Mango release.
It's funny how there were some people who noticed "a substantial improvement".
So much for the placebo effect
when i installed it the 1st time i didn't notice big improvements, but after receiving the update i mentioned in my previous post, Bing maps started to point always north as I set in the preferences and the position was more accurate than before.
Here is the new version, 1.2.0.0: http://www.ulozto.cz/10339233/high-fidelity-position-v1-2-0-0-xap
