I know there is a My Menu in SPB Mobile Shell 2.1. But there is also a blank space that in some cases I've seem a Games menu added, well, I'd like to have an Office tab for Office 2007 and for other MoNotes stuff, etc.
Can someone please show the forum how to do this?

Hi
Does anybody know of an app to add the 'New' Menu functionality to WM05.
In 2003 and 2003SE you could tap on the word 'New' in the bottom left of the today screen and a menu would appear allowing you to select a new appointment, task etc.
Or if not a way of using the standard voice control app included with the O2 exec to start a new appointment/task in Pocket Informant.
I have tried selecting new appointment/Task from the list of apps and functions in the voice control screen but this only starts Pocket Informant in the relevent view but does not create a new appointment/task to start entering info into.
TIA.

Anybody !!
Somebody else must miss the functionality?

i do... but i don't know how to get it back i'm afraid... unfortunately it seems no one else misses it... i posted something like this a while ago, which raised no responses
You can do it with a WisbarAdvance plugin: WisbarDesktop.
You can assign a button (like a shortcut on the desktop) to do that.
Or Spb Pocket Plus.
After you installed it, there is a folder in the startmenu/programs where you can find a lot of shortcuts like [newcontact], [newappointment]...
After this you just need one launcher program.
Tried Spb Pocket Plus.
This just does the same as voice controller when selecting new appointment or task it starts Pocket Informant on the relevent view but does not actually open a new appointment or task.
So it looks like this might be an issue with Pocket Informant.

Guys, I've posted here about how to create new PIM items, eg on a softkey (and using my VJPhoneTools for new sms/email etc).
I'll have a much better solution at some point in the future too
Use smallmenu and you can have a startmenu > subfolder to do this quite easily.

I wan't to configure some plugins on the Spb Mobile Shell 2.0 now screen!
But when i go to Spb Mobile Shell 2.0 -> Settings -> Advanced -> Now Screen
to customize Now screen I only get "No Plugins installed" and that is ofcause not the case! - I got alot
Has anyone any idea whats wrong here?
Thanks...
Nothing wrong
You only get to play with plug-ins if you have something like spbWeather or spbPhoneSuite installed
What about...
Thanks for the info! But maybe not the answer i was hoping to get
Anyway... How do i get my tasks/appointments to show in the Now screen?
Another thing...!
What about hakking Mobile Shell 2.0 to accept 3.part. Plugins?
Is that possible?
you can't use other 3rd party plugins in the Now screen except for those supported by SPB Software like their very own SPB PhoneSuite etc. otherwise it'll be the calendar and alarm that can be displayed on the Now screen.
is there any posibility to add a shortcut to S2U2 on today screen
a "lock" button like the speaker,or to modify the speaker icon and shortcut to S2U2 ?
thx

I could be wrong here, but as I understand things SPB is a shell that sits on top of WM and takes over many of the normal functions of the O/S. You would either use the native O/S for most of the device functionality and just have SPB in a limited form on the WM Today screen or, use SPB to provide most of the menu-type functionality in its own shell...which doesn't feature a Start button.
In other words, you can have WM with the Start button or SPB without the start button, but not both.

you could create a shortcut linking to: "\program files\Spb Mobile Shell\MenuLauncher.exe" -cmd:"\SOFTWARE\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\Menu\Root\Programs"
(you can create a specific shortcut very easily with Total Commander)
Once you have this shortcut you can launch it to get the programs from start menu in the spb mobile shell interface. If you now integrate this link/button in your spb mobile shell theme, you will have access to all you programs.
It's not really what you requested, but it's a workaround...
good luck

I tried but I think I have to change the background too, and I'm not able to do it ...
Having only had my HD2 for less than a week, I've still managed to install a ton of apps and also tweaked a lot of the settings. Today, however, I wanted to try out SPB Mobile Shell so tried to install the demo. Nearing the end of the install, my HD2 started flashing up 'running short of memory' issues and in the end I had to cancel the install. The problem is that it seems to have partly installed SPB Mobile Shell and it's taken me a while to get back to nearly where I was.
Thankfully I did a full backup before starting the SPB Mobile Shell install, so I did a hard reset and restored the backup. Virtually everything is back to normal, but there is still one part that is odd. When I press the Start button, all I get is a blank screen with just the taskbar (and relevant icons), my wallpaper and a 'Today' icon. If I press Today, I get taken back to my normal today screen with clock and quicklinks.
I've checked Windows/Start Menu/Programs and all of the shortcuts, etc are in there. I think it may be something to do with SPB Mobile Shell and so I went to try to look at the Windows Mobile settings. I can't do the Start - Settings - All Settings route (due to the lack of icons as described above), but if I go into the 'Settings.lnk' file through Resco Explorer, I can get into Manila Settings. However when I then choose Menu - All Settings, it just remains on the Manila Settings page and doesn't open up the Windows Mobile settings page.
Can anyone shed any light as to what is going on ?
I've got a couple of options:
1. If I can somehow get into Windows Mobile Settings page, I may be able to fix this. Is there a shortcut or executable that I can access through Resco Explorer.
2. Do another hard reset and reinstall everything again. Does anyone know of an app that will list out all the programs I've got installed ??
Any help greatly appreciated !
Thanks
maybe u have installed the program secondtoday for switching between spb and manila? the page u get after the softreset is the default windows today screen..
u can use bsbtweaks for example to put a shortcut of the wm settings to the startmenu...
all programs u have installed are listed under settings/system/remove programs...
Hi!
I'm looking for a application that would add program shortcuts to the WM 6.1 home screen. Just 6-10 shortcuts, no tabs needed. Something like HTC Home (not available for my Acer M900) or SPB Pocket Plus (annoying tabs, too many unneeded features).
I tested a few programs like this, but they made too many changes to the start menu.
And it would be cool, it that or another application would allow to quickly change phone profiles (normal/vibrate/silent) either by a programmable button or better by shortcuts on the home screen. in this regard SPB Pocket Plus does not work on my M900.
Please recommend, thanks.
